Cast - myself and DH (MarkRG - who did his reports live from the Magic). Also along were Mark's parents Bob & Susan. This was our 5th DCL cruise - their 3rd.
Our goal - to relax and enjoy! With so many new ports for us we were interested in the experience. Since we have no kids the reports won't cover that. Since this was our 5th cruise we also opted out on all the big shows. I must say though that this was the most wonderful cruise I've ever taken. So on with the show:
Day 3 brought us our first sea day. I love sea days as they are so relaxing. Today proved to be no exception to that.
We woke up without an alarm and then headed up to Topsiders for breakfast.
We headed up to do a little shopping. I got two new Italian charms for my bracelet (brand new on the Magic - they had just gotten the shipment in). Wish they had one of a ship, but they didn't. Got a palm tree and a Sourcer Mickey hat.
Back to the room to relax on the veranda for a while and read. Pure heaven - fresh air, the sea, and a good book!
At 11:30 we went to the DVC presentation. This is for people interested in DVC, but they ask any interested members to stop by and give their thoughts as well. They opened with a general WDW quiz and I won a DVC waistpack and water bottle. Cool!
After that we did lunch in Parrot Cay for the buffet.
After lunch Mark settled in with his book while I took a nap. We had the veranda door open and there is nothing better than to be lulled to sleep with the waves!
A little later in the day my MIL and I did the ship's tour with Ellen. Learned some interesting facts about the Magic and even got to tour the kid's club and the secret passage!
We went to the Castaway Club party tonight - over 900 repeat cruisers on this voyage!
Tonight was dinner at Palo. In all our cruises this was our first dinner here. So glad we finally did it. We had Tibor as our server and he was great. Since we had just done the castaway club party we weren't interested in appetizers so he promised he would make it up to us with dessert. Mark had the Orachette and I had the beef tenderloin. Delicious. Tibor wasn't kidding about dessert. He brought each of us a souffle and then one of every other dessert for the table! Yum, Yum, Yum!
Since we had at early morning excursion planned for the next day we just chilled the rest of the evening.
