DHand I are empty nesters. If there are more empty nesters and singles on this cruise do you think it will harder to get ressies for Palo? It would be interesting to know what the popualtion demographics was on the last repos.

With 14 nights, I am sure we will be able to get Palo ressies at least once. More likely a couple of times if we want.

Kim, even in my head the chance of getting on the boat, is shrinking. With all the posts about the many IC requests, I now have it in my head that this cruise is a maybe.

Ohhh I forgot to say how to do it. I got a concierge number and e-mail address and they told me to fax my request. I wonder if it works no matter what cat. you have?

Kim, I think the concierge number is only for concierge guests. That's what the extra money you pay is for. I think you should send a fax to them as soon as you are booked in your Cat3, which I am sure you will get , and request the room for 14 on one of the sea days. I am sure we will get at least 14 who want to participate on that specific day.

Just heard from my TA and I quote:

" I just spoke with my IC connection and she said they’re not even starting to work that list yet. I’ll keep calling weekly to see if there is any news. Apparently they got a FLOOD of requests for the re-positioning cruises.

If you have any dates even further out than that, let me know. Apparently she has faxes on her desk for space requests as far out as 2010. Sure wish they’d build a couple more ships!"

Inventory Control is the department that manages the DCL reservations. I assume priorty is the date they received your fax is the date of priority you get on the list.

I don't think we have to worry....lots of dates to choose from. And I'm betting we'll be setting up some DIS group brunches and dinners too!

Count us in on a Palo brunch! If anyone needs help with excursions in Aruba, Acapulco or Puerta Vallarta, I may be able to help. We go to Mexico at least 3 or 4 weeks a year and love it. Do you really think it's going to be hard to get a cabin? We are going on the eastbound repo to the Med and it seems they are having trouble fillling the cabins.

BTW - I am really tired of obsessing . . . I REALLY hope we get on this cruise, but the speculation is making me nuts! I will just wait and see, and if we do not get on it, then we will revert to the original plan and cruise in December with Lisa and the gang, and then wait for maybe January 2009.

I agree with whoever said we are whipping each other into a speculative frenzy. Not much we can do at this point but wait until 1/31 and see what happens.

And for all of you folks who are considering this cruise - we hear it is completely full, so there is no use trying - those of us already here have it on good authority that only those who called their TA within 24 hours of announcement will make it on the ship!

I don't think getting a stateroom will be a problem, I think PAYING for said stateroom might be an issue!

Seriously, I think all the fuss is because so many called first day last PC cruise that the prices went up quickly. I also think LOTS canceled, lots were holding 2,3 or even 4 staterooms for a couple of days until they decided which cat they could afford. There probably will be a flurry first day by all of us who want on the ship, then it will settle down. I think there will be more passengers on the return than on WB. My opinion, take it for whatever. I am known as a forever optomist, glass is half full even when it is draining quickly!

I do agree that we're getting frenzied. I think there's a lot of demand for the ship, but I can't imagine there won't be cabins for all of us.

As much as that's true. I'm going to be driving DH INSANE by the middle of next week!
