Good Morning.

No news from the hospital over night.

I guess no news is good news.

Good morning.

Lisa, so sorry to hear about what you are going through - our prayers are with your family.

For all of you that have that Rudolph and Santa dancing in your signatures, you gave Sophia a real laugh last night. She was looking over my shoulder and just started giggling that Santa and Rudolph were "boogying" and shaking their booties! Sometimes you just need the pure and innocent laughter of a child to bring back your focus.

Long, hard, very sad day.

Frank (my DFIL) was supposed to be operated on at 10am....well it was delayed (like they warned us) and he went in at 1pm.

Many unexpected complications and he was in for 10 hours...(just got home fromt he hospital. The doctor said he is just about as sick as anyone can be and still be alive. Once they finished with the surgery, his heart would not start up on its own. They had to use a "ballon pump" to keep his heart going. He can not breathe on his on and is on a ventilator. At midnight, let us see him for a minute or two.

We need to take this minute by minute. When we were in with him, all these alarms started going off and they pushed us out of the room. After a few minutes, everything calmed down and they let us back in.

They will keep him in a coma for several days. The only think I asked was "can he feel any pain" and they assured me he was comfortable.

I am off to bed.

So sorry! I'll be praying for the best!

If we book anything I think it will be through disney for the same reasons! However I don't think we will go too far apart from the cliff divers in Acapulco. Need to do some research over the Christmas break. I keep thinking I will be to lazy to move off the ship though!:lmao:

The fort is very close and cost about $2, it is worth going to see. In Aca and PV the cabs are very safe and its well worth "seeing the town".

Well I was up I think every hour through the night....stuffy, coughing...etc. There was no Nyquil in the house. That will be remedied tonight.
There hasn't been that many pages to catch up on in a while....you guys were chatty last night.

I am surprised at how many people dislike the beach. I love the toes in the sand feeling and listening to the waves crash on the shore.

Is anyone doing the REAS package?

Also is anyone prepaying tips? How does this work...do they give you slips to put in the envelopes on tip night?

I don't know why, but I am all excited for this cruise now. Maybe because the excursions came out or maybe because we will be paying it off soon ince John got his bonus (thank goodness)! I am ready to pack!

I think Castaway Cay will be enough beach for us. I get bored quickly!:confused3 I always think I will enjoy it but don't. I love walking on the beach however.

I'm not sure they are offering the REAS package on the longer cruises from what I have read. Can't understand why as the only difference would be the Rainforest passes, which really they could limit to a couple of days, or charge more for the package. Seems strange to me. We would have booked that otherwise. Probably will get the basket with the robes etc though.

The cruise. I just loved it. John I think not as much, but enough to still be looking forward to this one!! I couldn't get him to agree to book another one whilst onboard though!:sad2:

Give him time. My DH enjoyed our first cruise but didn't give the impression that he would want to go again. But it didn't take long after we were home for him to realise just how much he had relaxed. And when I tentatively suggested the next one, he surprised me by just how enthusiastic he was about the idea.

John had a little brain storm and on the Saturday before the cruise we bought into DVC!!! Now, this is the guy who isn't really into Disney, so I am still amazed.:confused3

Congratulations! I'm soooooooo jealous!!

I'm feeling bad today! Should feel better tomorrow, but usually feel tired for a week or more. We stay awake all day when we get home which we believe helps the jetlag problems.

Hope you recover soon.

We've tried all sorts, but never get properly back on track until we go back to work and are forced back into the usual pattern.

Well I had a great night's sleep and feel so much better today.:)
I think I did a quick summary of our trip yesterday, but I can't remember what I wrote as I was not quite all there yesterday!!!:rotfl2:

Thanks now I know how far to look back:thumbsup2 I'll try to look after I drive my DS to school...gotta go make his lunch etc...now

My DK don't often see me on the web(like Holly I like to go on when they are asleep or at school) but if they walk up ...they love everyones characters jumping around My DS gets a kick out of it and DD does too.:goodvibes

It's that time of year...I'm glad we are not traveling this time of year because of the cold and flu season. DH and I usually do travel on cruises in Jan/Feb because that is our anniversary and we like to get away from the cold(yes AZ to me is cold in the winter)and enjoy warmer weather but so far haven't been sick on a cruise.

I don't know about prepayed tips....I wonder if those serving would know you've prepayed because I'm always concerned about the service. I heard princess did prepayed tips and had friends that took a cruise and hated it because nobody would make an effort they didn't need to anymore so the service was horrible...thought that's princess not DCL...we've only done DCL and RCCL. I may consider it though.

Gotta get the kiddos ready for school(actually DD only goes MWF so today is her day off)

we are having our holiday luncheon today catered by Cracker Barrel. They are here already 1/2 hour early!

I am glad tomorrow is Friday. I am going to clean house this weekend and get rid of some junk! I guess I better do some Christmas shopping as well.

Lisa  so sorry to hear about all of this. Sounds like he is in a great place with great care and no news usually is good news! Keep us informed please. You and your family are in our thoughts.

Wow, this site is slower than slow. Hope they are working on it. Seems we fill up the space too quickly.

Been a good day. Just about finished the ironing - good job there are just the two of us.:confused3 :rotfl:

I don't think there is a REAS package. I wouldn't be dong it anyway, I am leaving my DH home to take care of my girls!!

No change in DFIL. He is still in a coma, still on an artificial heart and still on a ventilator.

Looks like he will be like this till at least the weekend!! The longer he sleeps in this coma, the better I think. His body can heal though the worst of the pain while he is sleeping.

Snow on the way in DC.....

We did a gift exchange and the hottest gift was two star bowls from Pottery Barn. They must have been stolen 30 times during the exchange!
