HollyIf I can just make it until showtime with my sanity intact. Tyler was suspended for 3 days starting today, so I'm not at work. Tomorrow and Friday his dad has to worry about it because those are his days. He'll be taking Tyler to work with him.
I set up an appointment with one of the mental health professionals Tyler's pediatrician recommended, but his dad told me he basically doesn't have coverage for that. So he wanted me to cancel that appointment and he'll take him to a free family counselling program his employer offers. That's great that his employer offers a free service, but I'm not sure what they offer is what Tyler needs. However, I'm sure the counsellor will tell him if he feels Tyler needs something else. So he'll probably set it up during a time I can't go....but I can send the info from school and Tyler's teachers with him.
I just found out a friend of Tyler's receives counseling from a social worker at school for emotional issues and trouble controlling himself. I had no idea the school offered this, so I'm going to check into it today after we have lunch.
That's only one problem I'm dealing with this week, but it's the biggest concern.
I just wanted to share some good news.
My brother has finally been told that his stem cell transplant worked. He was originally told they would know after 2-3 weeks and it has been 7 weeks, so he was pretty much convinced it hadn't taken.
He is still very seriously ill, from the damage caused both by the disease itself (myeloid fibrosis) and by the chemotherapy - from which his liver has suffered particularly badly. But at least he now knows it is worth continuing to fight through it all because hopefully he will eventually recover completely.
Thank you for all your prayers and pixie dust.

Oh my, I am sorry. As others have said try your ex'es free service. The one from my compnay helped me out of a very difficult situation several years ago and I was forever thnkful. It is one road you should explore.

No, you didn't miss the post. I just posted about it a few above yours. He didn't do anything physical (that I know of) like he used to in day care, but was being very disrespectful and threatening. I guess it started because when he was sitting at a table, he was sort of lifting it up and down with his knees. When they told him to stop, he started getting mouthy with the teachers. He saying things like he was going to punch and kick the teachers, said he'd rip up all the Halloween decorations, said he'd break the other kids' bones, was smacking his fists together threatening to punch everybody, told them he was going to beat up his teacher and throw her out the window, etc.
