Oh dear, sorry about the books. Hope you are not one of the 'chosen ones'. Looks like you were studying on the trip though.;)
Well, not necessarily studying on the trip, but I had good intentions! Just not enough time.

It is so lovely out we thought we would take a trip up into the Yorkshire Dales, visiting Grassington where we haven't been for a good few years - well it must be over 7, since we moved here!!!

http://www.grassington.net/
Marilyn, it looks so pretty there! I love the look of Cobblestones Cafe. :goodvibes Have a wonderful day!

Holly - we went! I would not say it was worth $100 a seat that we paid but it was good. It was educational but towards the end it had a few laughs. The dinosaurs are on wheels but it looks like they are walking. My 5yo DGS loved it!
AHA! I knew somebody went! So sorry I couldn't remember it was you though. :guilty: So you had the seats up close then. Our seats would be in the farthest back section and I'm not sure if we'd see very well. Not sure if I should spend $100 total if we're sitting way in the back. I think I'd rather use that money on vacation! :goodvibes

How large is the place it is in? Where we saw it was not huge so every seat had a good view. It was far from sold out, so people could sit closer than they had tickets for. We were on the 5th row but not the most expensive seats. We had 4 seats so 3 of us were disappointed for $400. My DGS loved it! $100 for 2 and I would have liked it alot more!

Well I am off to buy a new bike. My dgs's broke and he needs a larger one anyway!

:cool1: OK, I'm not Kim, but I am "ditto'ng" John, WOOOOHOOOO! I read that earlier today (actually read a rumor about it yesterday) and called my sister with the news. My step dad is Hawaiian and my step sister and adorable niece live in the family home on Oahu. As much as I love visiting them (since the accomodations are free) it can be too much in the house with everyone. Now, I get to visit my sister and niece and family AND enjoy the beauty of Disney hospitality! I am so excited. Forget Grand Californian, we are going for Hawaii points! And, the area they are putting this resort is beautiful.

Oh, just had an idea....wonder if this is going to be the first "connection" between Disney and Hawaii meaning that the next announcement will be that one of the ships will soon be cruising to Hawaii!!!
DCL Dreams cruiseing to Hawaii now thats a cruise I would have to do!!!!
any one from DCL peeking around?
Just got home . . .

Had to post . . .

WHAT A GAME!

Beat the stinkin' Yankees 12-3!

Well, it's a big arena. It holds big name shows, like Disney on Ice. It's a tri-level, so we'd be way too far back. I think I'll just take him to Sesame Street Live instead. Surprisingly, he still loves Elmo! He still talks about the last one we went to, which was Super Grover and when I mentioned another one coming, he was pretty excited. And it will be about 1/2 or even 1/3 the cost of the dinosaurs. :thumbsup2

I REALLY want to book our 3 day 11/29 cruise before I change my mind, but am still waiting for Dreams Unlimited. I'm wondering if I should just go ahead and book myself through DCL's website and transfer to DU? Any advice?

Thanks so much for the anniversary wishes

no school for us tomorrow, teacher in service day :goodvibes

Not so good for Miss Molly, she has an oral surgeon appointment tomorrow, she is having 5 teeth pulled :scared1: 1 baby tooth and 4 adult. Her mouth is too small for all her teeth to fit. When you look at her xrays you can see that her top teeth are headed to crash into her 2 front teeth.

Poor baby she is scared, okay me too. It's alot of teeth pulled for a little girl.

The tooth fairy is well prepared. She has the new AG doll, Ivy (she is the friend of Julie, the girl from 1976) coming to befriend her in the morning with a note of confidence. I guess that fairy better get off her dairy(er) and get the note written before she gets engrossed in :surfweb: & :happytv:

btw, mom's post op surgery went good today. She has moved home from the skilled nursing care area back to her apartment. I made the appointments for next week too, another with her surgeon (the fluid is still there and will need to be drained) and also with the cardiologist. Her glacoma procedure is tenatively set for 10/29. It never ends with elder care.

Lisa, how are things with your mom these days?

1. I just turned 50 and I was supposed to have my wisdom teeth out last Friday. I chickened out and cancelled the appointment. So, I really feel for Molly......I re-scheduled for Nov....not sure if I will keep it or not. I really have to get them out.

2. My mom is okay.....she gets unreasonably angry and then it just blows over. She won't take the anti-depressant the doctor gave her. She says it hurts her "tummy". It really is like having a child. We are going to the beach this weekend and Don is staying home....so mom can come with us or stay here. She has changed her mind 1,000 times :lmao: about going or staying. I don't mean to complain, my mom is so much better than she could be for 85. She just hates losing her independance. I don't blame her....but she says NO to assisted living......

Happy anniversary Lisa! Here's to another 20!

Thanks so much for the anniversary wishes

thanks on both counts.

did I mention that the TF also gives big bucks for pulled teeth??? Those get $20 a pop.

Normal teeth get a few special coins, .50 piece, gold dollar (sacajawea dollar), silver dollar, etc...

If you send me $20 per tooth......maybe I won't chicken out next time:lmao:

My kids always got $2 bill.....does anyone see those anymore?

Just got home . . .

You should establish a relationship with a DU agent. E-mail sueellen@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com and tell her what you want. That way in the future you can just contact her directly, tell her Lisa sent you.

She is awesome!!

last night was Family Night for John's Softball team....I was hoping for rain, as I really wanted to watch all the great tv last night!
We get out there and I drop him off to take the girls to McDonald's...although we were all cooking out and bringing food, I didn't think they could wait until 8pm to eat. So as we leave McDonald's to go back to the field it is POURING. I am thinking, YES, my rain dance worked...

well the game started at 7 and as we pulled in, the guys are playing in the rain. :( Bummer....so we sat in the car parked where we could see from the outfield and then towards the fifth inning it let up and we waded into the complex.

The ended up losing...having a bad season..but John was 4/4 so he was happy. Bobby J got knocked out, he is a HUGE guy and a ball nailed him on the head. He was out for a minute or so but would not come out of the game.

Afterward we set up the tables. Leo grilled his Chang kabobs, we brought cucumber salad, there was potato salad, pasta salad, chips and dip, chips and salsa, brownies, bruschetta, cookies, Gatorade, water, beer and wine....we had fun. The girls had a blast playing with my friend's daughter. She is three - so right in between my girls...she doesn't go to preschool or anything and you can really tell the difference as far as sharing and playing.

But it was a fun night, we got home in time for the last 12 minutes of the South Carolina game and then I had DVR'ed Grey's so I had to stay up and watch that. The girls fell asleep in the car so it was nice and quiet when we did get back home!

I am still keeping my fingers crossed that I am in the running for the job I interviewed for. They are amidst year end as well, so I am hoping it's just been super busy and they haven't had a chance to call me yet! (I can dream!)

I am all for Hawaii...although I want to cruise there first to see which island we like best. My best friend's brother lives out there. He had a surf shop on Oahau - he could still have it, who knows...but she went we to college out there for several summers...I guess to take a break from Miami??!!

You have so much energy!! I could not keep up with you!!

so what are everyone's plans for the weekend?

Tonight I have to clean like mad...then tomorrow my dad and his girlfriend are coming over. We are going out to dinner (early, have an 8pm date!) and then he is doing the Siesta Key Triathalon on Sunday morning.

Oh and at 8pm, I will be sitting on my sofa getting ready for the game tomorrow...!
