I read an article on clutter as related to weight....it was pretty interesting. So I have been saving the copy paper boxes here at work to declutter our house and someone asked me, are you moving? I said no, I am going to get skinny!!

I just to have less stuff....I am very bad at buying junk we don't need but we have tons. Knick knacks that are in corners collecting dust, you name it. It's just parting with it that is so difficult.

Holly, I too recommend contacting Sue Ellen, she is great. This trip is my first working with them - I used AAA prior. But she got me on the ship and they have kept me informed of everything. I plan to use them for any future bookings as well!

so what are everyone's plans for the weekend?

Tonight I have to clean like mad...then tomorrow my dad and his girlfriend are coming over. We are going out to dinner (early, have an 8pm date!) and then he is doing the Siesta Key Triathalon on Sunday morning.


Oh and at 8pm, I will be sitting on my sofa getting ready for the game tomorrow...!

So far it is me and Vanessa and Annie. Vanessa has never been to an American beach....so Bethany will be a good first experience. It is a long weekend (Columbus Day). Mom keeps waivering back and forth about going.

Yesterday, Dulles Airport broke a record 88 degrees for the high temp. On Monday around here, it is supposed to be 90 degrees....great weekend for the beach.

Daniel has his first bowling tournament at UNI of DL (Delaware for you West Coasters ) ...of course DL (Delaware for you West Coasters ) is such a small state that I hope he lets me go on Sunday to watch him. He does not want me to come if I will be the only parent there. So on Sat he is going to check out the "parent action" and let me know if I can come on Sunday.

Is Washington DC the only area of the county that closes everything on Monday, Columbus Day?

last night was Family Night for John's Softball team....I was hoping for rain, as I really wanted to watch all the great tv last night!
We get out there and I drop him off to take the girls to McDonald's...although we were all cooking out and bringing food, I didn't think they could wait until 8pm to eat. So as we leave McDonald's to go back to the field it is POURING. I am thinking, YES, my rain dance worked...

well the game started at 7 and as we pulled in, the guys are playing in the rain. Bummer....so we sat in the car parked where we could see from the outfield and then towards the fifth inning it let up and we waded into the complex.

The ended up losing...having a bad season..but John was 4/4 so he was happy. Bobby J got knocked out, he is a HUGE guy and a ball nailed him on the head. He was out for a minute or so but would not come out of the game.

Afterward we set up the tables. Leo grilled his Chang kabobs, we brought cucumber salad, there was potato salad, pasta salad, chips and dip, chips and salsa, brownies, bruschetta, cookies, Gatorade, water, beer and wine....we had fun. The girls had a blast playing with my friend's daughter. She is three - so right in between my girls...she doesn't go to preschool or anything and you can really tell the difference as far as sharing and playing.

But it was a fun night, we got home in time for the last 12 minutes of the South Carolina game and then I had DVR'ed Grey's so I had to stay up and watch that. The girls fell asleep in the car so it was nice and quiet when we did get back home!

V, sounds like you have more fun than you anticipated. Food sounds yummy!

Yup, I got the out of office message, but she did e-mail me back almost immediately. She's got some loose ends to tie up before being out of the office but will get with me as soon as possible because I told her I'm ready to book and pay whenever she can book me.

And she told me you're "a gem" and that she loves referrals!

We had DD INSIST that our guests bring no gifts for our anniversary party last weekend. She said some protested greatly, but she stood firm that our wishes were no gifts. I can't tell you how happy I was to not have to find a spot for more memories! We will have the photos for memories and that will be plenty.

DU willl give you a better price....be patient! I just booked the Sept 08 DD and thru DCL with CC discount they quoted $2880....I booked thru DU at $2600. It's worth the wait!

Thanks Deb! I've decided to wait for DU. DCL quotes $919, so as long as it's that price or lower, I'm in!

I am trying to convince my mom of this! She insists upon gift after gift. I told one thing is fine for the girls to open, but get them something they can go and do with her....Aquarium tickets, show tickets...something that won't end up broken or colored on.

Our UF Safety was arrested this past week for breaking and entering a tow yard to get out his girlfriend's car. Meyer stripped him of his captain status and he is benched until all charges are dropped.

I feel bad for the kid....he has never been in trouble with the law and to do something so stupid now...I am glad that Urban did what he did....what was he thinking though!!??

Done! I really wanted to use DU this time (and all future cruises as well) because of how wonderfully they treated all you folks through the whole Panama Canal tax increase fiasco. It shows how much they care about their customers, so that's who I want!
