The catching up never ends. Hectic day at work playing catch up. I'm home now, but I have to mow because I've neglected my front yard for a month. First, I have to go buy gas for the mower. I'm pretty sure I'll just end up asking the neighbor boy across the street if I can just pay him to mow. Much easier. Have to go pick up a prescription refill. Have a couple other errands that need to be done (but I suppose I can wait until tomorrow). I promised Tyler we'd put up our Halloween decorations today after school and before his dad picks him up. But first I have to get them down from the attic. Then I have TONS of homework to do -- more catching up! And I still need to watch Desperate Housewives online. OH! And I need to pick up a couple groceries before Tyler gets out of school. Good grief!

We have stayed at the Contemporary a few times. I know it gets bad reviews now, but we had really good times there. One year we had a tower room with a MK view and it was awesome for watching the fireworks. We still enjoy Chef Mickey's, and you can't beat the monorail going right through your lobby. Alex and I had some great times at that pool too. Years ago, you could also go up to the observation deck to watch the fireworks (before everyone found out about it) without reservations at the California Grill. Not so now.

We stayed at the Contemporary on our very first visit to WDW, in 1990. We had the best breakfast ever in the restaurant (can't remember the name) which was where California Grill is now. Didn't eat there in the evening, it was a dinner show I think, but did watch the fireworks from the observation deck.

We stayed there again in 2001, this time in a tower room. I really wanted the MK view and was initially disappointed not to get it. But I loved the bay view and being able to watch the water pageant each night. We were close to the fire escape and could watch the MK fireworks from there, so we had the best of both worlds. And during our stay there was a fireworks manufacturers conference, and on a couple of nights they put on a special fireworks display on one of the islands in Seven Seas Lagoon - we watched those from the fire escape at the other end of the building.

Well maybe we can get together. I think I'm going to be the only one on this cruise that has never met any of you!

I have never met anyone either and won't get to until the cruise.

I am back, now DH is out of town but will be back tonight. I had a blast but it was very hot and crowded. I don't think I can catch up so I will just jump back in if thats ok.

evening all!!
chicken simmering in greek style marinade, broccoli and mashed potatoes tonight.

gydell...we almost met!! ;) Probably a very good thing we were not in Gville last weekend! Tell me how was your experience?

I wouldn't worry about meeting people...we will have known each other for over a year and I am sure that most of us will not run out of anything to talk about....I'm sure holly and I can make up for everyone! :)

who knew dogs would be so expensive!! I can't find many in Florida....there is a breeder in Ocala that may have some soon but the other is in MT - (is that Montana?)

$1700 for two (that's with a discount) and $360 for airfare...we could take a trip for that!

Before the game we were just saying that we wanted to look respectable. And we(7 of us) had made a pack that when Fl got 50 points ahead we were out of there. It was as big a shock to us as it was to the Gator fans when we scored. Then we kept it up, but very nerve racking at the end when the score was tied. We have lost almost all our games during the 4th quarter, I don't understand why we can't play for 60 minutes instead of 30 each game. Needless to say we were thrilled at the outcome. Now if ya'll can get rid of a few LSU players we would appreciate it!

how were you received by Fl fans? Were they nice? (I hope).....we do have some doozey's though!

When I was in college I have to say LSU and Auburn were two of my favorite places to travel to!

They were good this trip. This could have been because of the shock factor and we left immediately after the game and hauled to our car in silence!

We loved the "cruising cooler " and the "daiquiri whacker" that so many of the Fl fans had. We had never seen anything like them!

I have to say the price for some breeds is crazy! Our first was over 50% off per her breeder because she had no show quality and was skittish...she is a Chinook and with that discount we paid $800.00. Our second was a great deal....$1.00 plus S&H ($250.00 to be shipped here from Mississippi). Most boxer breeders put down their white puppies, but our friends can't do that so they sell them for $1.00! Greatest bargain we ever found:lmao:

We usually go to the Swamp but it was crowded and we brought food so we just tailgated all day. We got there around 9am. Long day!

That's where we go....Samantha always says "can we go to the Swamp"??!!
Of course we used to go to the Purple Porpoise....damn good burger baskets and I sure had tons of fun there in my college days...but they turned it into Gator City....and there used to be a Joe's Deli which always had lines out the door for the Gator Tail sandwich...there are still a couple of them just not on University.

I am just glad we don't play you again for 7 years!

So excited . . . . . . no patients for 11 days! I truly enjoy helping folks, but it will be a nice break. Unfortunately I do have to bring my laptop for my Anatomy class. The class has an essay and a lab to turn in while we are on our cruise. Lab's are easy to grade, but essay's take some time. Hopefully it won't be to labor intensive.

We leave tomorrow morning on a flight to Tampa. Never been to Tampa. It doesn't look like too bad of a drive into WDW.

We are all packed and ready to go. The anticipation is keeping the girls from sleeping at night. Looking to book the double dip end of Sept 08, or the first Eastern in Oct 08 while on board. That will mean THREE Disney cruises in the span of 12 months! How cool is that?!
