Did you catch the hyenas and vultures on Tuesday? No lions that night but man were they vocal! I'm prety sure I saw a Stork that night too!

Amazing how quick that waterbuffalo was reduced to nothing by all the other anjmals. There was talk on the forum page that the buffalo may have had T.B., which is devasting to the lions who eat an infected animal!. Think I saw the stork too! Looks like an "undertaker" ??

I missed them - I left right before you posted.

Lisa- there was 14-15 elephants. :cool1: Very wide range in age/size. I also saw a male lion today too.

Yep - that would have been the stork.

That will be really bad if the lions end up with TB.

I didn't realize that it was communicable across species until recently. One of the Meerkats in the Khalahari project on Meerkat Manor had to be put down due to TB (Big Si).

Very bad stuff for lots of animals there right now. :sad2:

I would like to ask your advice/option on something.
We booked a cat11, were assigned a cabin, and got what I think is a great location on deck 7 aft. In fact I have told DU that I did not want a change or upgrade, mainly because of the location of our assigned cabin and I don't think I could get a veranda as a free upgrade.

I am now considering trying to upgrade to a cat with a veranda. I think a 5 or 6?. At the time I booked we could not afford it. But DM might have made this possible to do.

What do you think the cost might be? I'm not sure how it works.:confused3 :scared1: And do you think it is worth the cost?

Thanks for you thoughts

Don't know the answer but I want your deck 7 aft cat 11 :lmao: I'm a Dreams client too....if you move, I'd jump through hoops to get assigned deck 7 aft!

For the wine drinkers (and you know who you are :thumbsup2 )...

I thought of you all yesterday when I was at Publix -- on the shelf there were loads of....

Rosa Regale!!

I haven't tried it yet....how should I be drinking it?? Is it supposed to be chilled or room temp? What should I be drinking this with??

Marilyn - I'll double check the prices for you and get you some if it comes out well

Chilled, with CHOCOLATE. Especially nice with chocolate covered strawberries!!!!

I think I'm breaking open a bottle this weekend....

.....back to catching up....

Tomorrow is my wedding anniversary....17 years. It's gone by so fast. Since I can't see me putting on a dress with heels while both legs are wrapped, John and I decided to stay in. He's going to cook us a special meal....one of our favorites....stuffed tomatoes! Yummy! They're stuffed with a chopmeat and rice mixture then cooked in their own juices. It's so good! Then we're going to open a bottle of wine and watch some movies....just the two of us spending a quiet evening at home. Normally, we would add going in the hot tub to that picture....we have an indoor one...but I can't get the chemicals on my legs.

John wrote a poem that we each recited lines from when we took our vows. Each year we try to remember it and recite it again with each other. After ten years, we had to cheat to remember all the lines....we have it framed in our house. Let's see how we do this year....it reminds us of where we started and what we each wanted out of this relationship. I think we're there!

Deb,

Your anniversary sounds great!! Going out is sometimes over rated!;)

What wine are you going to have? :drinking1

Love the reciting of the poem as well, so romantic!

Hope all went well today for your legs.:thumbsup2

Karen

OK, I'm cheating now....but here is the poem John wrote for our vows:

John: Lead - I may follow
Deb: Follow - I may lead

Both: Take my hand and walk beside me
We will walk thru this world together

John: Ask - I may answer
Deb: Answer - I may ask

Both: Talk with me and I shall be yours
Friends Forever

John: Touch me - I will respond
Deb: Respond to me - I will touch

Both: Hold Me
And we can reach the stars and play tag among the planets

Isn't that beautiful....After all these years, it still applies. This is the footprint of our marriage....and it works for us.

Deb,

That is SO beautiful!! What a lovely poem.

So it's already tomorrow...

Happy Anniversary Deb and John!!

party: party: party:

Hope it is a lovely day!!

Karen

WOW....thanks everyone for all the warm thoughts and well wishes. I do feel like we were destined to find one another. I was single and lived alone until I was 33 years old. I had a completely happy life with only one thing missing and every night before I fell asleep I wished that I would find my soulmate. So he must be my awakened dream because a dream is a wish your heart makes!

Deb,

I was 33 when I met DH, Ted!! Same thing, single and happy but wishing and dreaming of that soulmate!!

And "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" is one of my favorite songs!

I was just getting the house under control from being away two weekends in a row, patting myself on the back.

I'm relaxing a little bit after my morning shower, and the power goes off. I jump, get dressed, and run outside. The yard guys are flicking the power on and off trying to get the sprinkler timer working.:confused3

I open the controller, take out the 9 volt battery and put it to my tongue, dead. I go in the house, bring out a fresh 9 volt battery, plug it in and the controller is working. I look at the pool, it's green and I check it's controller, it's all wrong and not turning either.

So I open up the electrical panel, and sure enough, the pool circuit was off. So I switch that on, clean out the pool filter, throw in some chroline and go in the house.

The oldest was home from school yesterday with Pink Eye, so I go grab his mattress cover to put it back on his bed and I hear a crinkle and one of the dogs barks. I look out my beautiful custom 9 ft tall french doors and all I see is cracks.:scared1:

So I go outside to take pictures of it for the insurance company, and the glass starts to fall from the door.:headache: So I call the insurance company back to say "I need someone to come and help me with this 9ft tall piece of fractured glass coming down." They ask, "Are you going to be there today?"
"Yes", I reply as I'm still doing the laundry from yesterday's Pink Eye decontamination. :laundy:

I need a spa day.:sad1:

Gosh! That's more than most people have to deal with in a year or two!

I hope that today is a better day for you!

Monica,

We DO carry this in our shop, so it won't be a problem to get it for people and send it to the ship!

Chilled, in a champagne glass, usually after dinner, preferably with chocolate!!

Enjoy!

Good morning Marilyn and hello Karen & any other west coast folks who may be around. :goodvibes Just one last check before heading out. When my alarm went off, I could hear it for a long time in my sleep, but couldn't figure out what in the world I might be hearing in the middle of the night! :rotfl: Then I finally figured it out. ;) Showered, everything is in the car, headed out in a minute. I did forget to stop and pick up that Disney princesses video Tyler's been wanting, so we'll stop at a Walmart along the way and buy it. He'll be surprised! :cool1:

Have a great weekend everybody! Back Tuesday! :thumbsup2
