Went to bed early, so I'm pleasantly surprised there's not a million pages to catch up on. ;) Awful time making myself wake up this morning. I've decided since I've had such trouble staying awake lately, I'm going to skip my classes tonight and sleep. I do have to clear out the car and pack for our weekend trip and finish laundry, but should still be able to get to sleep at 3pm. Sounds crazy, but I think I really need it. :goodvibes

Off to shower and head to work. Have a great day everybody!

Sleep is such a wonderful thing....good morning everyone...I took the day off yesterday from my to do list. I was so tired from this past week and needed to rejuvinate. I did a little paperwork, watched some TiVo'd shows, talked to my brother 15 times and took an afternoon nap. I still fell asleep early, so I must have needed it. Today I feel really good.

Got the visiting nurse coming in about an hour then I'm free to continue errands and that darn to do list that never ends....trying to get all the ducks in a row for all the mom stuff. I have more thank you cards to send out, since I'm still receiving cards from people.

Then I have to go out and run some errands with my brother later. We had a few of mom's items on ebay, which have now sold and we need to pick up the money. I had a local company place the items on ebay. They were all collectibles and they did the research and the pictures and will do the mailing for a small fee....it was worth it to me not to have to do the listings myself.

Tomorrow is my wedding anniversary....17 years. It's gone by so fast. Since I can't see me putting on a dress with heels while both legs are wrapped, John and I decided to stay in. He's going to cook us a special meal....one of our favorites....stuffed tomatoes! Yummy! They're stuffed with a chopmeat and rice mixture then cooked in their own juices. It's so good! Then we're going to open a bottle of wine and watch some movies....just the two of us spending a quiet evening at home. Normally, we would add going in the hot tub to that picture....we have an indoor one...but I can't get the chemicals on my legs.

John wrote a poem that we each recited lines from when we took our vows. Each year we try to remember it and recite it again with each other. After ten years, we had to cheat to remember all the lines....we have it framed in our house. Let's see how we do this year....it reminds us of where we started and what we each wanted out of this relationship. I think we're there!

I really like my diettogo food. I stick to it very strictly all week long and feel I can cheat a little on the weekends....keeping calories in check, but going for normal yummy food. This way I figure that I can stay on it long term....but the diettogo food is good, so it's not hard to stay with it. Thank you Lisa/disneylover5 for letting me know about it. It's soooooooo much better than Nutrisystem. I would highly recommend it Jackie!

:goodvibes :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

You are doing well Deb and I am sure you must be noticing a difference even if you don't weigh yourself. Good that you enjoy the food.

Good evening Marilyn....how was your day? Did you get your new fridge yet?

When are we going to see pics of Molly Kate? We're anxiously awaiting!

I'm very lucky that John enjoys cooking and that he's good at it. This is one of mom's recipe's....thank goodness she taught him all of my favorites.

I will be weighing myself on the first of every month since I started with Nutrisystem on Sept 1st. So I have a couple of more days to go and then I'll weigh and hope for some loss. At least the 13 lbs of water weight that I gained in one week should now be off.....so I'm hoping for some good results.

I just may give the diettogo a try. I actually bought groceries on Sunday, but am still finding it 'difficult' to come home and chop, cook etc.

Your stuffed tomato entree reminded me of one of my favorite veggie side dishes that I like to prepare for company. You stuff a tomato with a mixture of Mexicorn (corn with pimento) and french cut green beens, bake in the oven, then top with parmasean cheese and pop back under the broiler for a few minutes. Very tasty and very pretty!

Glad it's finally Friday and we may get early departure (month end), so that will be nice....perhaps I'll come home and do some HOUSEWORK. :confused3 We'll see......

you guys were easy on me last night!!

Did anyone catch Grey's?

I fell asleep early last night so I didn't see it, but I have it recorded so I'll probably watch it tonight. Don't tell me anything I don't want to know yet!

:sad2: :cool2: :sad2:

That's the beauty of diettogo....you can do it long term because it's so easy to just nuke already prepared meals and it tastes good.

This sounds good too Jackie. Why don't you make it just for you!

Grey's was good you'll like it, let me know when you watch it.

I am so glad it is Friday! Lots of laziness, football and fun this week is what I have planned.

A guy took his blonde girlfriend to her first football game. They had great seats right behind their team's bench.

After the game, he asked her how she liked the experience.

"Oh, I really liked it," she replied, "especially the tight pants and a ll the big muscles, but I just couldn't understand why they were
killing each other over 25 cents."

Dumbfounded, her date asked, "What do you mean?"

"Well, they flipped a coin, one team got it and then for the rest of the game, all they kept screaming was: 'Get the quarterback! Get the quarterback!'

I'm like...Helloooooo? It's only 25 cents!!!!"

Top 10 Signs You Might Be Obsessed with Gator Football...

10. Your neighbors have called humane services (on more than one occasion) because of the live gators sun bathing in your front yard.

9. Republican? Democrat? It doesn't matter to you. You'll only vote for candidates who root for the Gator team... or at least have worn orange or blue to a rally.

8. You know that "real men don't cry" doesn't apply to Gator fans. You cried your eyes out when the Gators didn't get the SEC title in 1990, when Spurrier left in 2001, and, well, pretty much every time the Gators lose a game.

7. You already own everything on the Gator Gifts for Him list, not to mention everything on these lists, too: Gator Gifts for Her, Gator Gifts for Kids, and Gator Gifts for Pets.

6. Painting your entire body in orange and blue isn't reserved for game days.

5. You name your children and your pets after Gator mascots, like "Albert," "Alberta," and "Two Bits."

4. At your funeral, you've requested they sing "We Are the Boys of Old Florida" instead of "Amazing Grace" and put "He was a loyal Gator fan" on your tombstone instead of "He was a loving father."

3. You consider Gatorade, not water, to be the "substance of life."

2. You asked your fiance to reschedule the wedding because it interfered with spring training, a Gator game, Gator Growl, or Urban Meyer's birthday.

1. Steve Spurrier signed your arm at a Gator game in 1991 … and you haven't washed it since.

Well, that just sounds crazy! Good grief! Well, we already have a huge chunk of State workers off without pay or being forced to take paycuts, or their jobs were discontinued because of budget cuts, so this is just scary for many friends I have who are state workers. They don't even know if they'll get a paycheck in a few days because it's happened to them before. The State is just trying to cover their over $1Billion debt. I just hope my friends will be OK because they all have kids to support. I've seen ones get the axe in past rounds of eliminating jobs recently. As much as I dislike my job at times (which we all do occasionally), this sure makes me grateful for what I have.

There was widespread panic among the people at my work also. The union set up free bread and pastries that you could pick up because "people would not be able to eat and pay their rent". Everyone was just really upset, then everyone got the pay for the day not worked. We did have a RIF (reduction in force), lay off around that same time. The only time in 20 years that I have been there. That was difficult, but we survived that too.
