So the visiting nurse just left and although she was nice enough....she wasn't as good as my regular one, Becky. I'm feeling the pain again even though she didn't intentionally try to cause it, she was a little clumbsy and caused it anyway. Becky's got it down good and doesn't usually cause me any pain. I think I might have to take a pain killer today. I try not to take them unless I'm going to see the Dr., but today I might have to make an exception.

Sweetie, if you're reading, she didn't wrap them very well and they'll probably fall down and you'll have to redo them. Be prepared.
 :guilty:

Oh, sorry Deb.:sad2:  You take those tablets and try and relax.

Popping in to say good morning and to show of my new WISH clippie! Finally hit 5 lbs! :cool1: (which is right on schedule actually....two and a half weeks).

It's going to be hard to give up early morning DISing for an early morning walk, but the weather is breaking here and our 6AM temps are very plesant, so I can't delay any longer. Peg has already been doing AM walks for a week, so it's time to join in I guess. I know once I start I will love doing it, it's just rebuilding that habit that it is taking some effort.

Venetia/Bubba, loved the pics!

Time to hit the shower and start another work day AND I have to decide if I'm going to go in Saturday and get to some back-logged stuff. Love the idea of overtime, but not the hour spent commuting.

Check in with you at lunchtime!

So my Ella kitty is a scaredy cat and runs and hides even when John walks in the door. This morning with the nurse, she was out the whole time and running around and playing. Go figure!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

 Cats are so funny.

Hi Jackie and well done on the weight loss.:thumbsup2

One of our DIL's keeps absolutely nothing. Nothing!:confused3

That's just like my brother...nothing gets kept....everything goes in the garbage.

Can be like this sometimes, me on my own!! As Karen would say - ding a dang or something!!:rotfl:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: ....something like that.....

Ooh Deb - a University in Delaware is on lock down after a couple of shootings and the gunman is still at large. Just on our news.

Yes, I heard it on the news here too. Fortunately they learned from Virginia Tech and enforced a lock down immediately so that no one else got hurt. But the gunman is still out there....very scarey and sad.
:sad1: :sad2: :sad1:

Definitely let us know if you are still going that weekend - we will be there Oct 4th-6th. Have tickets for Mickey's Halloween Treat on the 5th.

We are trying to de-clutter as well - we both then to hoard paper - receipts, paid bill stubs. We have already filled 4 of the 30 gallon trash bags with shredded paper! Hope to finish in the ofice by Sunday and then start on the rest of apartment. My sister and niece are coming to visit Oct 2 - 10th so we have a goal date to complete everything.

Good luck with your organizing!

Deb - we could use you brother here!!

Holly, These women were leaning out their window calling the cute boys up. It was like an old new york neighborhood. They were watching and commenting on the people going by. Here is the other woman. (who bubba said was the cuter of the two)(I think it's the red hair:lmao: )

TOO FUNNY!!!! Hold on to your hubbies!

I like your brother, Deb! :thumbsup2 I am so tired of clutter, dusting, wiping, trying to find a place to put "it"! We are filling up our THIRD 20 yard dumpster this weekend! I do have to say is is not all our junk though. We have 2 garages, a barn and a 12 X12 shed and everyone over the years (family, friends) have thought we have room to "store" stuff. We live in Oregon and it is damp ALWAYS. The dampness just ruins stuff in barns, garages and sheds. Furniture, clothing, papers, you name it, it is going in the dumpster!

I need help!!

I know lots of you are coming to my next of the woods soon to visit our favorite mouse....and I want to meet everyone....so am going to write the dates down....

Can you all post (or pm) when you'll be here???

These are the ones I know 100% cuz I already have meets planned:

Marilyn - you're Nov too, right?

Hope I didn't miss anyone....didn't mean to!

Can't wait to meet everyone!

John never learns!!! He just sat here and tore up old papers to put in the rubbish bag and realised he had torn up the copy of our most recent wills!!!:confused3

We have another dumpster coming today. Weekend of clearing out the junk! ;)

Must be an Autumn thing!!

Noel,
Glad you are recovering well.

Nan, Hope you get some good news regarding your Mom soon.

V, hang in there with the test taking and waiting for the job. Everything does happen for a reason.

John, I was very touched by that man's lecture. Thank you for sharing.

Karen, have you ever heard of a wine called Sine Qua Non Pinot Noir Omega? I had it the other day it was just wonderful. I found it through a local wine exchange but it is big $$$.

I'm a bit tired so am going to bed. The lecture was really inspiring but also a bit overwhelming. Life goes by so fast...it is so hard to sit back and simply enjoy it all. At least I know, when I'm sitting on the deck watching the water pass us by, I know it will be quite easy to sit back and enjoy!

Here's to enjoying tomorrow! It will be a Friday, which is always a great start!

Lisa

Thank you for your kind thoughts.

Some trivia about Sine Qua Non Pinot Noir Omega.

So what's the logical thing to do if you're a restaurateur who can't get the necessary allocations of "cult" wines that you want? Why, start your own winery and beat the players at their own game, of course! In 1992, Manfred Krankl, a managing partner in Campanile restaurant in Los Angeles made his first wine with Michael Havens of Havens Wine Cellars. His debut under the Sine Qua Non label was "Queen of Spades" and the wordplay has just become more and more interesting with each subsequent release. One of the intriguing elements about these wines is the fact that he never makes the same wine twice. Between the deliciously wicked prose and delectably indulgent wines, Sine Qua Non is synonymous with the precisely wrought excess that is so de rigeur. There is a inexorable "WOW!" factor that the highly extracted, concentrated and flashy wines inspire in their acolytes and they are definitely California-style wines. The name, translated from Latin, means "something indispensable." Well, considering the frenzy of buying and trading that occurs after every new release, it obviously is. Sine Qua Non is also quite famous for its wine names, label artwork and bottle shapes. Each label features artwork by Manfred.

The Wine Advocate:

The top-notch 2003 Pinot Noir Omega Shea Vineyard offers up beautiful aromatics of raspberries, plums, blueberries, and flowers. This deeply fruity, medium to full-bodied Pinot boasts tremendous opulence, a sweet mid-palate, admirable purity, and a seamless finish. Drink it over the next 5-7 years. After 2003, Elaine and Manfred Krankl will no longer produce a Shea Vineyard Pinot Noir due to the logistical problems of moving fruit from Oregon to their winery in Ventura.

Thanks Noel, it was rough, but had to be done. Fortunately we had the social worker present to ease the pain a little....she was very comforting and very helpful.

It's great to see you back on here feeling well enough after your surgery. I'm so glad all went well.:goodvibes :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

I am glad all went as well with Ray. I am feeling better each day and looking forward to our NYE cruise with great anticipation!!

That is very interesting. I had no idea of the history. It makes me want to get it even more! I think I will pick up a bottle or two...I see that have it at the Belmont Wine Exchange. I wonder if that is an actual store or just website? It has an address so I'm going to drive on by....thanks Noel! Very interesting. Any idea how to get on their list?? Lisa

Would LOVE to! Let me know if there is anything in particular you would want to do, and I'll get ressies made!

I LOVE an Indian Summer....I missed going to the beach this year because of my legs....so take Tyler and get lots of pics for us!!!!! :woohoo:
Unfortunately, when we go to the beach, I'm in the water with him, so no pics.

Hey, for everyone getting together on the Nov 25 mini meet, I'm trying to think of a place where we could all get together and chat while the kids had a good time too. What about Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach? Let me know what you think about one of them.:cheer2: :upsidedow :cheer2:
I really can't afford any extras places other than what I promised Tyler. Sorry.
