If you are ever down here during football season we'll take you to a game. There's nothing like the SEC! Oh, but you have to cheer for Auburn. That's one of my rules if I give tickets to anyone. One year when we played Michigan in a bowl game we ate 7 tickets since I don't sell to an opponent.

Our (my work) CFO graduated from both Auburn and LSU!!! now he lives here and he won't tell me who he is rooting for!

Well, I will cheer against Michigan ANY day. We are big Ohio State fans. I have been to one game at the "shoe", and we had a blast. Akron U is in the Mac, but the football program has never been much to write home about.

I am going to order the Path Between the Seas this weekend.
I read it in 2005 before the PC cruise. The book is long, but gives one an appreciation for the tremendous engineering feat.

I remember two slang quotes from a friend of mine who comes from the UK. . .

She also asked if she could pinch a *** from a friend (borrow a cigarette) and also got the same reaction!!
I took some Brits to the House of Blues in West Hollywood. They were not used to non-smoking bars. One guy said, "I'm dying for a ***." I laughed and said, "Be careful of what you wish for."

Are you going to DL after the cruise?

Yes, the Geeks (us, PJ,Vanessa, Angie, Kim and Families) are staying at the GC for Sunday and Monday night. I can't wait to see where it all began. As a kid, I always wished to go to Disneyland, but my family could not afford a trip to California.

I used to watch the Wonderful World of Disney and dream about going there some day. So even though I have been to WDW many times, Disneyland will be special for me.

ok Jackie and Peggy ---- who's the eldest/youngest?

I'm 9 years older than Peg! She was present from mom and dad to the three of us that arrived earlier ::yes:: Best gift they ever gave me. :thumbsup2

WOODY! nice to see you, man!

Well, HSM2 isn't on till 8....so i guess I'll jump in the car and go find some food......really got to get to the grocery store soon.

See you kids tomorrow.

At Tech only 26%of the freshman got tickets to the first game. They use a lottery. Daniel did NOT get a ticket. I checked ebay, craigs list, stubhub....any other suggestions where I could buy him a ticket?

Kari and PJ: I only watch the shows and after dark...I also check out the website and vote for Erick things.

PJ, I'm with you about Daniele...I think she's got the best game play and the least amount of ego...then she has her dad watching her back....I hope she takes it all!!! Oh, and she's a damn good competitor during the competitions!:flower3: :upsidedow :flower3:
ugh, I really don't care for Danielle, I think she's whiney...Jen was starting to grow on me, but now I'm rooting for Jess, she's the least annoying

Well it's two hours before I have to leave for my wound care center appointment...where they will probably admit me into the hospital. Of course, I'm freaking out in a panic because I DREAD any type of medical procedure. I need a valium or two or three, but I don't have any. I'm on my own today because John has taken so much time off this past year between me and mom and Ray...he had to go in.

My dog was chasing the cat last night and banged into the back of my legs and I started seeing stars. It still hurts this morning. Great, just when people are going to be poking around on them today. I have such a low tolerence for pain, which I have every day, then I go to a medical procedure and burst into tears when they start poking around adding even more pain.

Well I already wrote down all my illnesses and all my medications...wow the list is long for both. I never realize until I have to write it down. Now I have to pack a bag and get dressed...can you say procrastination....I feel like I'm being a big baby, but I just can't help it. I remember being with mom in the hospital eight times in the last eight months and seeing all the things that they did to her...she was so brave and I am so not.

OK, I have to get my act together...I refuse to think about anything that's going to happen today...I'll only think about Mickey's ship...sipping BBCs by the pool...sitting on the balcony in the middle of the night...hearing the horn go off out of port...pulling into a port with the steel drums music playing...meeting all my new DIS family...ok it's working, I'm feeling better now. Cya all in a couple of days...hopefully not long.
 :upsidedow
 I know I'm late, but just know that we're all thinking of you

First I have to say, this mornings English lesson was the best laugh I have had in months thanks again GRANMAZ I needed it:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

well DEB was admitted early this afternoon, she is so frightened and upset. I wish there was a way for me to help but I can't and it drives me nuts. She's in one of the top 10 hospitals in the north east, so I know that she will get the care she needs but I'm still worried. They say that she will be there for a few days (Sunday or Monday out). You here, her (our) DIS friends have been her anchor through this last few months and I can't say it enough THANK YOU.

p.s. she ordered a broadband card for her laptop on Tuesday so that if this came to pass, and she feels up to it she'll be DISing from her bed before long.:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

John, if you have time, I know many of us would dearly love to send a get well card....maybe you could let us know an address or let someone else know who might have time to pm it?:grouphug:

cool - I am a reader! If I like it I will stay up day and night to finish. One of my latest fav's was My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult (I think)......

i  that book. it was fantastic, very moving. Did you ever read "the Time Traveller's Wife"? my absolute favorite book...I'll probably be bringing LOTS of books with me, so if anyone else is a cheesy romance novel fan and need something to read, let me know

man you guys have been chatty! Nan  to your mom

John, please pass on both mine and John's best wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery. She is so very lucky to have a wonderful supportive husband such as yourself.

We are hanging in there, keeping our, ah, our chins up. :lmao: :thumbsup2 I only have to come to work 100 more times.....IF our house sells. :dance3: :woohoo: Let's see, if I talk with 12 angry people a day time 100, that is only 1200 more angry people to deal with. ;)

Here is hoping for a quick house sale and less angry people!!

Jan and V....I took your advise and called the wound center and asked about the antibiotics...they asked what the Dr. said who prescribed them. I told them the emergency room prescribed them and told me that if it doesn't clear up by the end of the script, then I would have to be admitted. The wound center said I should get my butt back to emergency and get admitted.

Then I called my GP Dr. who suggested the wound clinic and he's not in the office for a couple of days....dead end there.

The wound center said they could not determine over the phone how to heal the legs, since they haven't seen me yet. They said that when they see me they may recommend being admitted.

I'll do anything just so that I won't have to be admitted, but at the moment it doesn't look like I have many other options. What should I do next?:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I am so far behind, I JUST found this. Sorry. I DO hope you have a plan of attack already.

If not, keep calling that MD. Does he have a partner? Can you be seen in their office? Can you go to the wound center earlier?

I know you don't want to be hospitalized, but that is not the worst case scenerio here. You could require surgery or even amputation if you ignore this.

Do what you have to do to get healthy--for your family, for yourself and for your cruise.
