V - you can also do the Disney gift cards....I think the Disney Dollars would be more fun for the girls, but if there's any ? about being able to use them the gift cards may be a better option.

that's a good idea. I will suggest that to the grandparents as well. They have plently of toys that don't get played with as it is and books galore, although I don't mind the books!

All the peek - n - blocks, I love those and hate to get rid of all of them, but the girls have just outgrown them and the toys they go with. Much more into dolls, strollers, playing house and school now.

They are by Fisher Price and are clear blocks with different items in them like plastic fruits, sand, etc. Very cute!

First I have to say, this mornings English lesson was the best laugh I have had in months thanks again GRANMAZ I needed it

well DEB was admitted early this afternoon, she is so frightened and upset. I wish there was a way for me to help but I can't and it drives me nuts. She's in one of the top 10 hospitals in the north east, so I know that she will get the care she needs but I'm still worried. They say that she will be there for a few days (Sunday or Monday out). You here, her (our) DIS friends have been her anchor through this last few months and I can't say it enough THANK YOU.

p.s. she ordered a broadband card for her laptop on Tuesday so that if this came to pass, and she feels up to it she'll be DISing from her bed before long.

You must be worried with Deb being frightened and upset. I am sure by tomorrow when she has experienced some of the excellent nursing care she will be feeling much happier and have more confidence in the treatment and care. She obviously needs to be there, but I am so sorry it has come to this with her being so frightened about it.

We are hanging in there, keeping our, ah, our chins up. I only have to come to work 100 more times.....IF our house sells. Let's see, if I talk with 12 angry people a day time 100, that is only 1200 more angry people to deal with.

Now, a funny here.

When we first started out growing our business(Church Supplies) after John was medically retired from teaching, we began selling religious items froma company in Phoenix(hence our 2 trips!). Some of these were pencils, rulers and erasers, with religious sayings/texts. Yes, we have always called them rubbers.(Not now though!)

John decided to get some printed items, and sent a request for 2000 rubbers with JM Church Supplies printed on them. Only when the quote came back with the term changed to erasers did we remember!!

The firm must have had a little chuckle at John requesting 2000 rubbers with his name on them!

And yes, the cigarette one is getting more widely known here.

Now that is a funny story!

My job is to hear all the complaints at a Veteran's Hospital. Some people are just angry with everything, some have legitimate concerns, some just have mental illnesses that make them unable to control their anger. My job is to listen, calm them and make it all better.

Wow, Ive had a great response already. Deb will be so happy. I found a cute "lottsa love" bear and flowers at 1800flowers.com if anyone wants to see it. I was looking for something disney but cant seem to find it.
When John gives me addy to the hospital( I figure hes prob with her) Ill have them sent and then Pm who repsonded to me.
If anyone has any suggestions for anything else im open for them.
If he sends me the info Ill make sure she gets them tomorrow.
Ive been put on call tonight so if im not here Ill definitly check in the am.

I am going to order the Path Between the Seas this weekend. None of the bookstores here have it in!

I was thinking about getting this for my brother-in-law for Christmas (no stealing this idea Peg!). Thought it might whip up some enthusiasum for the trip ('cause Mickey doesn't quite do it for him).

V, when are you doing DL? I have a couple of fav places to dine in DTD....Catal and Jazz Kitchen. Of course, you must visit Goofy's (buffet)in the DL Hotel for character interaction and I like any meal at Storyteller's Cafe in the Grand Californian (I think only breakfast is a character meal). Karen will tell you the best adult meal is Napa Rose (STILL haven't made it there yet). And the best kept secret for a snack/meal is WhiteWater Snacks by the pool at the Grand Californian. We found chocolate covered strawberries there that were smaller that the ones in the park, but priced VERY well.
