Can't stay awake anymore. So much for going to bed early tonight....got distracted with a great book. But it's still an hour earlier than I usually go to bed. And I get to sleep an hour later because Tyler won't be here to get up and ready. Then I'll be going to his Kindergarten orientation tomorrow after work, and then he'll come home the following day (Friday). I'm hoping he stays out of trouble at day care because I really want to go to Llamafest at MSU this weekend! We both like llamas and there are some really fun activities to watch there. And it's free! :woohoo:

Have a great evening!! Llamfest sounds like a blast!!

I can now officially say he's stubborn as a mule. :headache: On my way to pick him up after work, I got the phone call. They wanted him removed immediately because today he was punching all the kids and when they took him to the Pastor's office, he was raising his fists, telling the administrator that he was going to punch her too. :sad2: Fortunately, I was already on my way there and didn't have to miss work, but he was told that since he already lost everything yesterday, if I received another phone call because of his behavior, he'd lose the privilege of signing up for the next hockey class session. So now he loses 8 weeks of hockey. Very sad because it's what he loves best, but I have to keep coming up with things until something finally sinks in.

What's crazy is that just like yesterday, when I show up at day care and am in the process of getting him out of there, he's extremely lippy and very disrespectful to me. Then he's silent on the way home, and a perfect angel once we get home. Since his behavior changes the instant we leave day care, it further reinforces my belief that he's just not happy there, but it's still unacceptable for him to act like that. We all have to deal with things in life we don't like....he HAS to get that through his head.

Is there something in the air at the day care? Really, could there be something he is allergic to there?

I was chatting with a friend the other day and she had never heard of a day care with 2-8 year olds in the same class. She thought Tyler was quite reasonable to act out since he cannot tell them he feels ignored because he may not be able to put the feeling into words.

Best wishes as you deal with this.

We've never been, but the ad on TV say sthere will be a costume contest for the llamas, an obstacle course to watch the llamas run through and all kinds of other cute stuff to see. :goodvibes

There is one more rhyme that I learned in Brasil, but for the life of me I can't remember it right now.....I'll have to ask my sister about this one too.

BTW - Marilyn....do you remember the characters like Mr Tickle? I assume all these things I remember from Brasil are British since we went to a British school, but I guess they could be Brasilian. These characters were funny looking and had stories that went along w/ them (ex Mr Tickle had long arms that would allow him to tickle you).

Mr Tickle is one of the Mister Men
http://www.mrmen.net/

We had a couple of those for our sons. They are 26 and 30. I remember MR TICKLE and MR MESSY. The latter was my favorite. MR MESSY had a messy house and was drawn like a scribble. MR NEAT and MR TIDY came to his house and straightened it up and got him clean. Then he was a solid character. CUTE!!

Not sure about the air there, but thank goodness he only has 2 more days! :woohoo: Thanks for letting me know your friend's opinion because it helps to know I'm not the only one who thinks that. I think they may have combined the kids because they don't have enough kids any more to justify having separate rooms....I can't get a straight answer from anybody on why they did that, but it just doesn't make any sense at all and you'd think they'd see by now that it just doesn't work. I think that was a horrible decision on their part. But since he's almost done there, I'm sure he'll soon be having good days and this will all be behind him soon. :goodvibes

Thank you!

You can run, but you can't hide from me and my pink camera! :lmao:

I'M BACK......YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Here's how it goes:

Miss Mary Mack - Mack Mack
All dressed in Black - Black Black
With silver Buttons - Buttons Buttons
All down her Back - Back Back

She jumped so High - High High
She reached the Sky - Sky Sky
And she didn't come Back - Back Back
Til the 4th of July - Lie Lie

I LOVED playing that "game" when I was in elementary school.

 :cloud9:

What was the "game" of it? This is totally unfamiliar to me. If it was a jump rope rhyme then the reason for that is I am and always have been a total klutz. I was so glad to learn that word in college from my freshman roommate. If it existed in Yiddish, then I was not the first one!

How are you feeling today Deb? How is Angel behaving?
Jan :earsgirl:

Goodnight all! Please send pixie dust & prayers Tyler's way so he can have a break from being in trouble for at least a day. Just a day of relief would be a good encouragement for him, I'm sure.

Today during his rampage he told the teachers he wanted to kill them and cut them all up. Very scary. Yet his dad still insists there's nothing abnormal going on. Men!

Not all us Men are the same! I don't think this is normal!:scared: Somethings up besides changes at school,JMHO. Hope the Doc finds something and is able to help your little man out!:thumbsup2

P.S. Happy Birthday tomorrow!party:

As far as I remember this was a jump rope rhyme that came from New England.

Here are a couple more:
Gypsy, Gypsy please tell me
What my fortune's going to be
Rich-man, Poor-man, Beggar-man, Thief.
Doc-tor, Law-yer, In-di-an Chief.
Tink-er, Tail-or, Cow-boy, Sail-or.

Continue repeating until jumper misses and that is who you will marry.

Strawberry shortcake
Huckleberry pie
who's gonna be your lucky guy
a,b,c,d,e,f,g ect. until the jumper trips

Engine, engine number 9.

Running down Chicago line.

If the train should jump the track,

do you want your money back?

The person to whom you are pointing when you say "back" answers either "yes" or "no. You will then spell out the answer: "y-e-s spells yes and you are out" or "n-o spells no and you are out".

This rhyme was for beginners who could not jump in while the rope was swinging over and over

(Swing the rope back and forth, not over)

Blue bells, cockle shell

Easy ivy over

(swing rope over head on over and continue in normal rope swing)

(We always sang it with the following rhyme but it can beused with any)

Oh no, here comes Miss Blackwell

with her big black stick

Now its time for arithmetic

One plus one is?

(jumper responds) Two

Two plus two is?

(jumper responds) Four

Four plus four is?

(jumper responds) Eight

Eight plus eight is?

(jumper responds) Sixteen

Nows its time for spelling

Spell cat.

(jumper responds) C-A-T

Spell dog.

(jumper responds) D-O-G

Spell hot.

(jumper responds) H-O-T

(when the jumper finishes spelling HOT swing the rope as fast as

possible till they mess up.)
