The last Panama Cruise that we were on had 2 formal and 2 semi-formal along with Pirates IN the caribbean and mexicalifragilisticexpialidocious night!

Of course, since I am four days behind still, someone else probably answered this already!!

Glad to see you are back. What is a mexicalifragilisticexpialidocious night? We are having an early breakfast in the concierge lounge prepartory to packing up to leave the hotel.

The Temptations review last night was fun though not as fun as when we saw the Spinners a few months ago. Our friends here in Reno have just finished building their new house and will be having an open house in August which we plan to attend.

I am going to take my GK's on a two week vacation starting Friday as long as health stays stable. DD needs a vacation with all the lupus related concerns with DSIL. He had his kidney biopsy on Monday and will get results hopefully tomorrow.

Has anyone started looking at airfare? Like a few of you I am also traveling from the Baltimore/Washington area.

I started looking, but we're in california...and the cheapee airlines haven't put their schedules out that far yet. I did book my room at WDW...we'll go in 2 days early and visit there first.
I'm thinking we'll do an overnight flight since we'll have all those sea days to relax..plus no signifigance time change.

Hi guys, Molly & I have returned from the trip to the otherside of the world...China.

She says the best part was Hong Kong Disneyland. I'll take a few more days to settle to rethink my best part (but I have to agree off the top of my head with her)

China was an experience. The people on our tour group made the trip great. It was lots of work with mom, but she loved it and was all the stronger at the end of the trip from all the exercise she got.

I have a mere 66 pages to catch up on, but I figured I'd read them over the next week or so and enjoy the daily chats again until I'm current.

So how is everyone? Any mini recaps availble?

Welcome back. That is some major trip you have been on and it will be great to hear about it.

It's been quite quiet on here - folk are busy with summer things and vacations, but time is slowly passing!!

Finally home after an 11 hour drive - my eyes have the jitters from driving!

Sophia is spending the next week at her Aunt's in Williamsburg, doing Busch Gardens, and Water Country USA. Both my kids are having a blast, and I have to go back to work soon . . .

I would love to visit Williamsburg again, it is fun, so much to do!


Haven't been posting much, it has been very busy. The pics of the kids are adorable.

I noticed a post looking at air fare...we booked ours. Leaving Orange County to Tampa. Luckily we get to fly the first leg with John1 and family.

Hi all...
Ok, back and almost unpacked from our first disney cruise in the med. It was fabulous. We found out that all of the people that worked with us (servers, stateroom and kids club) are all going to be on our panama canal trip. It makes it even more exciting...kinda like coming home. Although, I checked my room and it was a cat10 so maybe we won't have our room steward,Philip...but I'll try!
So, I haven't kept up but I read the first page again. Doesn't look like any new changes. I'm now getting ready to go on this trip.
So, on board the magic they gave everyone the rebooking info and next to our cruise it said "sold out" in big red letters. Plus, I asked the DCL rep to check the price and my room is 1000 more than it was when I booked. While I had hoped that the prices would go down so I can save a little in the payment...it reassures me that we booked at the right time. I can't even use the 10% discount to save on a cat 11..i'd still be paying more now.
I did book a dummy date to save for summer 2009. Let's hope they offer another new and exciting adventure.
Anyways, thought I'd start popping back in and get reaquainted.

My mom has settled down and now seems to understand she can no tbe alone. So right now, it all looks good for us to be able to go on our Med Cruise. Our flights are July 25th and the cruise starts on July 28th!!

Who was your cruise director? I think Rachel was going to do about half of the Med cruises....and then go on leave. We you on the 10 day that just got back? I picked friends up at Reagan National last night at Midnight and they were returning from the 10 day. They had a wonderful time.....

I have friends who just finished the 10 day too! I'm bummed because I missed a phone call from them today...they are in Venice for a few days before flying home. Can't wait to hear about their trip!

I am now in Blacksburg VA for Daniel's orientation. Last time I was here I sat here and typed to you guys how wonderful this small town is. That was April 14th and 15th.....then April 16th.....

There are marked changes here. Daniel is so happy to be here and thrilled he got in here. I can not believe he is going to college....he was just a baby.

DVC could not book me either . . . they told me the calendar is not open yet, and to check back. So, whether DVC or cash, it appears that reservations are not yet available.

I am having internet and router woes . . . I wish I was an networking expert . . .

I just watched the season finale of Ugly Betty (taped). It was so good!

I miss Sopranos on Sunday....

Have to go back to work tomorrow after being off for a week with the family at Tahoe. It will be hard to say good-bye in the morning to my little one - it has been great spending all this time with him (19 months). He is at such a fun age. Looking forward to taking him to visit his great-grandmother in Minnesota in a couple weeks. Altogether, I'm taking about 4 weeks off this summer so lots of time to play.

I posted on the main thread about rental car agencies - still looking for a close one to the port that is open on Sunday. Any ideas? Lisa

We were on the 11 day 6/16. Our cruise director was Rachel, who said she will most likely be our director on the PC in may. I believe that brent was taking over for her. From what I got from the crew (not my people, but others) they were glad brent was coming on...I guess he had a little more personality than rachel. Although, I spoke with her several times and had nothing but positive experiences. However, I don't have to work with her. Have fun on the 7/28...I hope it's not too hot. Although, right now in california it's about 100 degrees. So it can't be that much worse. Just take a hat, unless your dvc..they'll give you one on the ship.

Hey everyone...just popping in to say hi! I have been reading a bit, but am swamped with the new home. For the next month I will probably not be around much...between packing this home and remodeling the new one, most of our free time is swamped, but boy is it fun! Spent a lot of money today at Home Depot and Lowes....no interest for a year!!!

Great pics John, Kim and Guodux. The kids are all adorable. Can't wait to meet thme all. John, sounds like Sophia has quite a busy summer planned, I am jealous!

Thanks for the info. Rachel was the cruise director on our last cruise and we really liked her. She was always very pleasant and helpful when we spoke with her.

Hi Noel!

Yes, we had a busy week with our extended hours for the 4th of July holiday!

Tonight we did a Neighborhood Wine-E-Que; we have so much wine leftover on Sunday's that it helps to bring it home to our friends and neighbors for an evening of catching up after a busy week.

The Super cali... is usually a fun mexican themed night after a stop in a mexico port of call, like Acalpulco or Cabo San Lucas. It's a lot of fun!!
