I know where you mean even if the filter blocked it!! That is a fair bit south of us, but yes the country is nice. Durham is further north but we have never been. We really should!
We are actually in Harrogate, just a few miles from York. York is one of my favourite places, but since we moved here 6 years ago we have only been once!I think it is because Harrogate is so nice.
Do you come over here on vacation? Do you have family? Most Americans don't get up this far - just pass through from London, Stratford on Avon and then up to Edinburgh!! We have some beautiful scenery.
We have some very good friends who live in Glenfield and another close family who lived in Dunstable. We come over there and they come over here all the time. (actually it's easier for them, because of the dollar to the pound) We have taken several trips through the countryside. We've been to Harrogate.
Now the family who lived in Dunstable have moved to Devon. We went there last year. It's beautiful too. Lots of places to walk.
I'll tell you a funny story....until we started coming over with a long list of places we wanted to visit, our friends hardly ever visited their own country. Now they do it all the time, and they are making lists for US!
