Have fun in Vegas everyone! I have to go there usually about twice a year every year for work. I have seen Love and many of the other shows. I have also stayed in many of the hotels if i can help there.

I do love Vegas and I love Cirque shows....sounds like fun to head there with everyone in January. You never know, I might just show up last minute. Actually depending on when you go, DH usually is there for CES so I might be there anyway!

Cool! Another addict!:thumbsup2

My mom is completely addicted to that site! She was watching last night and saw some type of "coyote" like animal...any idea what it was? She IM's me all the time when she sees something cool. She says that watching the animals help her stress!

Wondering....
anyone know where Lisa (disneylover5) and V are? Haven't heard from them in forever and just hope all is ok with them both. I think Lisa mentioned she wasn't feeling well a while ago....

My first guess would be sidestriped jackel, but if she knows her way around the forum section of Africam they have pictures, videos, animal sounds etc where she can i.d. it for sure:thumbsup2

Oh No! Not the same time as CES! :sad2: There's no way I'm getting away from kids then as DH has to go to CES every year too.:sad1:

Marilyn (grandmaz) -- I think you misquoted me in post #19644.

What I said:

If you leave early in the morning, 4-1/2 hours. Friday is a busy travel day to L.V. I recommend two nights to really experience L.V.

Woody
What you "quoted":

We stayed 2 nights and it wasn't enough. We weren't gambling either! There is so much to see. We keep saying we will go back, but unfortunately we won't be able to join the minimeet.

Woody
Is the second paragraph yours?

Mrs. Woody would be disappointed if I let anyone other than her speak for me.

Woody

. . . Before I forget, did anyone see Larry King last night? Paul McCartney & Ringo Starr were on discussing the Cirque "LOVE"! It was AMAZING! . . . it was the anniversary of "LOVE" one year ago yesterday.
We saw "LOVE" in October. It is Fab!

Should we think about going to see LOVE while we're there? I didn't see that Larry King show, but my sister's seen Love and said it was great.
Be sure to take a look in the "LOVE" giftshop. They have a bass guitar signed by all four Beatles.

Woody

dahuffy posted on the Picture of the Day thread and in her signature it says:

"Cinderella is proof that shoes can change your life"

I thought the shoe ladies would like that.

:rotfl2: I LOVE it!!!! So true, so true!

Hi Gina, great to hear from you again....happy first day of summer!!! Do you get to spend many days at the beach? Where do you go? I have sooooo many great memories of days at the shore....starting from when I was a baby at Jones Beach....then as I got older....Smithpoint, Hamptons, Montauk, Fire Island, Long Beach then Shelter Island. Eastern Long Island beaches are among the most beautiful beaches in the world. Here's to the start of a great summer!
:wizard: princess: :wizard:

Did you grow up on Long Island? We lived there from 1970-1972 in Kings Park. I went to college in Brooklyn. Our son was married on Fire Island May 19, 2007. That was the first time we had been there--really neat. Bride wanted to get married barefooted on the beach. She had a lovely long lace and taffeta gown and was barefooted in the sand. Our son wore a tux with sandals. So cute!

Did you ever post pictures of the wedding?

Actually Aruba is close - mostly it is 78-82 degrees with a light tradewind. In either Mar/Apr or Apr/May the winds are a little stronger and the windsurfers and kiters are in heaven.

Can't recall, but I think my respons to Marilyns post inlcuded NO HUMIDITY, so I think that Aruba is OUT!

But thanks anyway...

It's true! It's true! The crown has made it clear.
The climate must be perfect all the year.

A law was made a distant moon ago here:
July and August cannot be too hot.
And there's a legal limit to the snow here
In Camelot.
The winter is forbidden till December
And exits March the second on the dot.
By order, summer lingers through September
In Camelot.
Camelot! Camelot!
I know it sounds a bit bizarre,
But in Camelot, Camelot
That's how conditions are.
The rain may never fall till after sundown.
By eight, the morning fog must disappear.
In short, there's simply not
A more congenial spot
For happily-ever-aftering than here
In Camelot.

Camelot! Camelot!
I know it gives a person pause,
But in Camelot, Camelot
Those are the legal laws.
The snow may never slush upon the hillside.
By nine p.m. the moonlight must appear.
In short, there's simply not
A more congenial spot
For happily-ever-aftering than here
In Camelot.

One of my favorite musicals!

Was in this one twice!!

Love it too!
