I, too, just checked out the Safari website. It looks very cool!

I went to see Hairspray today. It was great! I couldn't wait to get home and downloaed the soundtrack onto my new iPod! Speaking of which...

I'm now on my second iPod--had to take the first one back to Costco. Something happened to it and it wouldn't stop "synching" even though all the new files had downloaded... So I called Apple tech support and after trying some things I was told it was DOA and they would send me a box to return it in. But I just took it back to Costco instead. They're so great about returns.

Hope everyone has a nice Monday--it's rained again today so I'm a HAPPY CAMPER!:cool1:  :woohoo: :yay: :dance3:
Glad you liked Hairspray! Tyler saw the preview for it on a movie we rented over the weekend (The Last Mimzy) and wants to see it (because of the singing and dancing). I told him it's probably not for little kids, but that I'd check it out.

You're so lucky you got rain! I can't even remember the last time we had any. I know it was threatened over the 4th of July week, but never happened, so it must have been before that. Areas just south and just north have had lots, but not us. All our grass is in the whole city is such a lovely shade of yellow. ;)
But I'm truly sorry for all the areas having so much flooding. :guilty:

This is an aerial view of Tewkesbury, a historic town where two rivers meet. The Abbey is clearly visible, but the town is cut off.

This is Upton upon Severn. We were walking around the river back in January. Lovely place. They were hit with the floods a few weeks back too, but not as bad as this.

OH MY GOSH! I had no idea how horrible the conditions had become! Awful!

Marilyn, I read everyday usually several times a day, and I think of you all. Hope everyone is turning the corner on problems and illnesses. And those who are doing good, continue on that thread.

We are under 100 days for our 2007 trip, so I have been spending time on that thread and getting my friends ready for their first WDW trip. They are coming with us to WDW before the Halloween cruise for 7 days. Got them non-stop, early morning down/late evening home, flights for under $700 (4 people.) They are going to be spoiled! They are staying at AS Mov and doing Dinning, I did their bookings making it real easy for them, lol.

Did anyone else read that the on-line booking is now EST 12:00am and not 3:00 am? WOO HOO! I will test it out next Saturday night, it worked for the 10-20-07 cruisers, so I am hopefull.

Not me yet. Strange that the later repo is getting their unpleasant letters first. Yucky news and I'm not looking forward to forking over more money.

I know that one of our crew noticed a change on their reservation (was it one of our crew?) If it wasn't one of our crew, could it be that the change in the fee is coming into effect after our cruise?

Dennis, I thought you had cleaning and painting to do? On that mobile internet again?

I get to see you and Angie in December! I am staying at AKV in a value studio, too cool! I want some photo tips, please, when we meet up. You take great shots.

Ps. how is the BP doing these days?

Hi Marilyn,

I am so glad you are out of the flooded areas. Floods are so devastating.
We had terrrible floods here in Orygun, back in 1996. Our closest river, The Willamette, was actually 4 miles wide here at Newberg. We were planning on leaving for the weekend, but could not leave town, in any direction, because of the high water. It was a blessing in a way, because my father died that day, of cancer, and we would not have been here if not for the floods. We live at 600 feet altitude, but our driveway washed out at the end. The town of Newberg was spared, but was right on the edge of that huge river. I didn't realize just how much water there was, until I saw the satellite photos. Whew!

My prayers are with you all.

Dennis

It was indeed one of our crew: amesmom.

Hi PJ,
Hope you're still there. The BP is terrible! I just took it 152/111. AUGH!:scared1:

The medications are not workiing and it puzzles me to no end. :confused3 Of course, my Dr keeps on raising the doses. Erg! (Like those funny sounds?):rotfl:
Anyway, I am ready to stop all meds and restart at lower doses. It somehow seems to get worse as the meds increase. It is so weird, because on three occasions I forgot the morning doses, :guilty: and when I got home my BP was 117/72 to 128/82. I had to check it out on a different machine because I thought the Monitor was broken. LOL. I think a couple of cruises would help immensely. I think it is just Cruise Withdrawal Syndrome. (Dennis's Disease would be a good name for it.)

I am so glad that you are going to be there at DW. YAY!!! What days? Hey, are you going to couch surf? LOL. I wish you were doing the Dec. cruise with us. I wish all of you were. Maybe if I can just win the lottery........;)

Yes please let us know if this works for you. For me that would be way cool, I could get it done before bedtime.:cool1: I hope it does work for you.

I have not seen any change to my ressie regarding the increase yet. I booked with DCL but then transfered to DU. I guess its a wait and see game. I also remember someone from this crew had noticed a while back that they had an increase. I am not happy if we do get the increase, but being this far out I can still adjust the budget for it. I feel bad for those of you who have a large family. For us it's only an additional $200.00, but my gosh what if you have a large family:confused3

Also want to send pixiedust: and  :grouphug: to everyone who needs them. And to Deb, I just want to add that I you are truly an inspiration. Your positive outlook is what makes you the wonderful person you are. I do look forward to meeting you soon. Extra  to you

Oh, on a quick side note..if anyone still watches the africam watering hole
mms://live.wildlife.wavelit.net/afsoiud214
there was a pride of 4 female lions this morning. Keep an eye out, they are in the neighorhood.

Dennis, I think in some people the common meds just make the problem worse. Cruises are good for all ailments, he he.

I will be at WDW 12/6 - 12/9, no sofa surfing. I am managed to get a value studio at AKV, offering a viewing before Dinner at Boma on Friday evening.

P.S. I am on the desktop at home. It is so slow. Between my being slow and the machine being on dialup, I never get much done. I have to trim the new door today. I have the upstairs done, just have to finiish the downstairs. Also have to get some stuff packed. I think we need to pack all of the extraneous 'stuff'. Then we will have room to work. LOL. We 'dumpstered' a Body by Jake, a Treadmill, a Total Gym 2000, and two weight benches last week. They were all in great condition, by nobody wanted them. LOL. Too much work I guess. And, as you can tell, they didn't do me much good. LOL. I got a lot of exercise moving them around.
Good News is, we kept the Gazelle and the Ab Do'er; so we would have something left to move around.:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

AND, how did I get so tangential here? :confused3

Dennis, who needs all that stuff anyways, on my last WDW/DCL trip I lost a whole dress size, you just want to take more trips more fun then the AB Do'er, lol:yay:

Thanks John and Noel....we do the best we can with what we've got.....we make jokes and try to laugh about it too because you can't take life so seriously....you have to remember to have some fun along the way no matter what the situation....kind of like laughing through the tears. I've always referred to my mom as Doris for Doris Day (her name is Diana)....all she ever wanted in life was to be a mother....she likes to shop and cook and feed you and she has always mothered all my friends....a very nurturing soul. When I talk to friends and family, I tell them....I bought a dress for Doris today in her favorite cornflower blue color and I'm going to pick out some lipstick for her to wear and I don't want any eye shadow on her.....etc., after all, she'll be dressed for eternity, so she has to look good....my family thinks I'm nuts, but they always get a good laugh out of it....then we reminice about all the good memories we have and laugh some more.....it helps.

:grouphug:

Tom's cheating on us.....:guilty:

I am not cheating, I was seeking independent collaboration from a detached source of the information posted on the other thread.....

Plus wait a minute, you are cheating too!
