I used to wonder the same thing, but now we have them here in AZ and they are yummy - they even have a carb free version - they wrap the buger in lettuce! I thought that was very clever of them.

My oldest (autistic) loves In n Out. It's one of the few places he can eat the french fries and have a chocolate shake. I'll have to check out that low carb version. 5 days and counting on what we call the "Aruba Exercise and Diet program".

why is it that everything I would love to do just puts me in the negative?

and I am one of those ones ---- who likes so many things. I would LOVE to teach K-3 or 4th grade...or own my own dance studio, or be a party planner, travel agent, train the Chippendales, teach bio-chemistry (yeah, so qualified!!).....

Those of you planning on staying on a few days at DL after the cruise, where are you hoping to stay?

If we do decide on this option, it won't be the onsite hotels but somewhere in walking distance - not too expensive as it is Memorial Day weekend. Went on Tripadvisor and noticed Candy Cane Inn and Hojo. I think the Eastbound have been phoning to book Hojo already!!!

Any recommendations?

I'll report on the best western after this weekend, it's walking distance accross the street and cheap, we'll see...

Gosh! That surprises me that she wasn't kicked off, esp post 9/11.

I haven't had rude people experiences, only experiences where I thought that we wouldn't make it back safely on the ground. The worst was flying China Airlines in the 1980s in a thunder storm, dodging lightning (no overhead storage bins, flight attendants walking up and down the aisles during takeoff and landing, smoking everywhere and no a/c--they passed out fans). Landing was a nosedive--we were literally on the ground within a few minutes.

dear Lord please send no thunderstorms to China while we are flying. A while back I saw some scary pictures of the approach to Hong Kong Airport. I so not looking forward to this part(the flying) of the trip. I've heard not good things about China Airlines, oh well...perhaps that's part of the reason this trip is so cheappppppp.

Unfortunately, my mom dragged me to a clothing optional run. Eeeewwww!

Oh I forgot to tell you guys where my lucky spoiled child gets to go this summer. She is going soccer camp for a week at Pepperdine University which is Malibu. For those that don't know it is overlooking the Pacific Ocean. I wish they had this stuff when I was a kid.

got a nephew there right now. my sister attended for 1 year way back in the 60's. beautiful school. she will love it I'm sure.

My DD Sophia will be 8 at the time of the cruise, and her dear friend Savannah, Kim's DD will also be 8 and on this cruise. I bet they would both love to make a friend from Scotland!

Also wanted to tell you when I asked Alex where he wants to live when he is done with Med school, he said he is not sure, but would like to do residency somewhere in the Pacific Northwest.
