Yes, has worked the same way for me in Canada.

I believe they figure the exchange rate on the day the transaction processes. You should ask YOUR bank what they charge (processing fee at foreign ATM), and also ask if they have agreements or relationships with any foreign banks that could save you fees abroad.

I assume that the most convenient ATM's probably charge the highest fees, so you may also want to research the availability and location of ATM machines at the ports of call.

Excellent point, I get free transactions at Bank of American ATM, but pay $3 at all others.

Okay, Explain this to me. I get off of the ship somewhere in Europe. I go to an ATM machine. I use my regular ATM card and I ask for 100 Euro. It will then convert to US $$ and withdraw from my account in US $$ but Euro spit out of the ATM?

How much do I expect to pay for this service?

$1-$5 per withdrawl was what I paid for pounds and euro last summer. I just think of this as the convinence to not have to drag extra cash around with me while I travel.

Oh yes, I agree. $1 -$5 is very reasonable for not carrying cash. I am so afraid of pick pockets!!

Speaking of the game - did the Suns get jobbed or what? Thundering Dan (Majerle) was in Shawn's work earlier today and one of his coworkers said to big Dan that he should come out of retirement for tonights game. The Suns could use him. Mr Majerle just apparently laughed and said that he would like to but would probably embarass himself.

We need the help - Go Suns!

THUNDER DAN! Now I know this will sound  but Dan was my DOG's favorite player! Every time he heard me or the TV say THUNDER DAN he'd bark and jump around the room. THis is the same dog, that if you touched your heart (you Star Trek fans know why) and said "Security, intruder alert!" he'd bark and run to the front door.

That reminds me, Charles Barkley still has my cake cutter................

Quiet night.

Cavs are getting beat pretty bad.

I guess that 3-1 lead in the series causes a little bit of complacency.

I'll bite . . . what's up with Charles Barkley and your cake cutter?

I will say that somewhere packed in some box we have Barkley's autograph . . .

Amy was with some friends at a bar in Akron after some thing they went up to for work. That night the Cavs were playing Barkley's team, and Barkley was serving a suspension for something or other. Well, Charles was at this bar in Akron.

Amy said he was very nice, and happy to sign autographs.

He never asked her to borrow a cake cutter though . . .:confused3

maybe this is our chance to create the story on her behalf????

John whatdoyathink?

Well . . . .

Let's see . . .

Maybe Charles Barkley was driving by on his way to a birthday party. En-route, he realized that while he was bringing the cake, he forgot to bring a "cake cutter" (is there such a thing?). Being far from home, he stopped at the first house he came to (Jackie's) and knocked on the door hoping that he could borrow a cake cutter.

Jackie quickly agreed to let him borrow hers, but only if she could get in his T-mobile "five". Charles agreed, and now he has her cake cutter, but she is in his five because he never returned it.

Could that be it?

That's the best I can do Nanette . . .

Promised myself I would get to bed earlier tonight.

Cavs lost. On to game 6 in NJ.

Indians won - undefeated vs. the Twins so far this year.

Good Night!

Welcome Aboard!

Just "right click" on someone's logo in their sig, and select "copy image location", and then paste into your sig. As to larger images, contact PJ - you can pm her, and maybe she can help and give you more info.

When I right click I do not get an option that says "copy image location"
What did I do wrong?
Could someone copy the image info and paste it in a post without a bracket at the beginning so I can copy that? add the bracket? and get the picture?
Jan :earsgirl:

I was shared a steam room with Charles Barkley. No offense, but it wasn't a pretty site. For me or him.:fish:

john, I loved it.

sorry to reply so late I got caught up in bad tv....Dr Phil

Then Paul & the kids came home and we had to have the attitude talk with Miss Molly. Seems she was a snot tonight at the Boy Scout Pack meeting.
I can tell Paul is so not going to have a good time with her teen years...I on the other hand will not let her get away with anything (I was that sneaky teenager that did everything) and fortunately can live today to make sure my daughter doesn't get to have the fun or the risk.

back to the rest of the night of tv..crossing jordan then medium:scared1:

sorry Deb, and anyone waiting for cruise details/photo's....been feeling pretty rubbish since I got back so haven't had chance to do much. :( My thoughts are with you Deb, hope you're soon feeling better too.

As soon as I'm up to par I'll get those pix sorted :)

....angel, I've been feeling pretty rubbish too....the pics and stories will hold until you're better. don't do anything for now except to sleep it off until you feel better. that's what I'm doing too. just take care of you and I hope that you'll be back to feeling good soon. :upsidedow

Sorry you aren't feeling too good Deb. Hope the Rheumatologist can help you.

Thanks Marilyn, he gives me lots of drugs to make my days better.:flower3:  :flower3:

Oh, you have a mini Dis meet coming up!!! Enjoy.

Yes, while there's a big DISmeet in DL, I have a miniDISmeet in Allentown. I'm really looking forward to meeting Lucy/lwilliam and Bob. We'll have fun together on Saturday night....gotta keep telling Lucy that or she will show up on Friday night because we're going to a restaurant named Fridays....it gets her confused....she says it's because she's blond!
:hourglass :yay: :hourglass

We too prefer Storyteller's for the food and Goofy's kitchen for the characters.

We were at Storyteller's the last Sun in April and the characters were 2 bears from Brother Bear (sorry - don't know their names) and Chip & Dale.

Last time we were at Goofy's I remember - Goofy, Max, Alice, Mad Hatter, Geppetto, King Louie and Pluto.

Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks Lisa....congrats on getting post number 16500....
pirate: :thumbsup2 pirate:

And we wish you could be there too!

That's so sweet, please share lots of stories and pics, so it'll be like I was there and have lots of fun together.
:cheer2: :dance3: :cheer2:
