I'm still trying to figure out a way to go to the El Capitan Opening Weekend for POTC III. Now if only I learned how to time travel.:cool2:

I can see it now, the first only - time traveling pirate! Had a great time with y'all that night! When is our next dis meet? :thumbsup2

I also have a Nov birthday and didn't get to start school the same year my cousin, who was 9 days older, did. For me it was the best thing to happen. I was so much more confident and I think I was a better student for waiting.

:rotfl: My sisters STILL claim this is what I do when it's time to do the dishes!

.
Did you say CLAIM???? I thought you did. YOU DO that to this day!!!:laundy:

CAN WE HAVE A LINK TO THIS POST ON PAGE ONE?

....thank you....

Edited: oops, sorry, hadn't seen V's post asking this...well, mine won't be missed if Aunty Brat is 'scanning' the thread!

Wow, it's QUIET here! What is it Karen says....
dinga ding
danga ding
dinga dong
dinga doo
????????????

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I am glad it's quiet for once I can actually read all the pages - 10 is fine but Oh my, some days or should I say weeks that I pop on it's crazy.

Speaking of crazy - of course I read the last line in your signature - it reminds me of my friend Marcia who will be in town this weekend - she SPEAKS backwards. Her mind works so fast - it's amazing. :confused3

Jackie...Please tell Miss Victoria hello from us all. Will she be coming to the meet in May??

Lisa/LiserAnn....meant to tell you how cute Drew was in the bike riding picture! Looks like he's ready to take on the world!

Carolyn

Hey there fellow Dis Pal!!!

Jackie and I saw Miss V last Sunday (did I miss a post about that?) Anyway we did tell her that you asked about her and she thought that was "cool".

She won't be coming to the DIS meet in May - unless Jackie asks. I doubt she'd be able to miss school though. She's having a tough time with Math right now.

But she is getting more and more stunning every time I see her. We took her to her first sub-titled movie and she really enjoyed it!

She also got her first "kiss"... she's growing up - has a great head on her shoulders.

I sure wish I could get her on our cruise... doubt her mother would let me have her that long. My DH asked when I got home "where is Miss V?" I said, "Honey, I don't get to KEEP her...". I think he misses our stay over parties!

Tell the kids "hey" for me...won't you? I just start GRINNING like an old silly woman when I think of the two of them hugging me while we were at dinner "just because"!!!! Makes me cry that I can't have those hugs right now when I'm needing some "loving"...

:thumbsup2
We are in Litchfield Park. Work in Scottsdale and usually notice our breaks are a week apart too.

We hope to hook up with you at the next AZ dis meet! We were very sorry you couldn't make it last time!

Thanks John and Deb!!:thumbsup2

We hope to introduce you to even MORE great wines in the next year and on the cruise!!!;)

YEAAAAA MORE WINES....

Karen, we opened the Annie's Lane last night....it was similar to the Roloson, but with a tangy ending. I LOVED it!! Thank you again for another great suggestion.
:thumbsup2

Good to hear from you too, John! I keep telling DH (Ted) that he can still DIS (it is his account, after all...) but he is reticent!!:rolleyes1

Maybe Ted is more of a hands on type of guy and wants to do all his meeting and greeting in person. It's ok, we'll share many glasses of wine together on the cruise. YEAAAAAA MORE WINE!:woohoo:

Karen

:wizard:

Now there's a thought....I would assume the shuttle to DL would be offered as a transfer? Anyone know? Also, what car rental agency is at DL? I'm cracking myself up, like the ship is leaving tomorrow....we have 12 whole months to plan this stuff!!! :lmao: :rotfl2:

Lisa, I'm with you...May is right around the corner and I'm chomping at the bit waiting, waiting, waiting for the one year mark so I can book all my ressies. I already have all my plans made, I know exactly what I'm going to do, now I just have to wait to book. The waiting part is the worst. I want to get it done and then I'm finished. Next will be shopping...can you say SHOES!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I will add the car rental information to the website on the planning page.

Yup, Lisa, DH is OBSESSED about it!!

He faxed a letter to DCL the day it was announced to make sure he was on "the list" for the innaugural sailing. We received a very official "thanks, but we are not taking requests at this time" letter.

He emails me every waking moment on updates...

Oh well, better to be informed! Thanks for the link!!

Karen

I'm so sad when I hear about the innaugural sailing of the new ships....Of Course, I want to be onboard, but the first ship is ready to sail the year we start building our house in DE and the second ship sails the year we move into the new house. How could I fit a cruise in at those times. It'll be very difficult. So I'll probably have to miss the inaugural sailings of both ships, which is killing me....especially since I know all of you DISers will be onboard. I'm so sad about it!:sad1:

I got so excited I decided to make a payment towards our cruise.....DH was like, can you just keep it in the bank!?! I told him "NO, it makes me FEEL like I'll get some more information if I get it paid off"....he just walked away shaking his head :sad2: , poor guy (he just doesn't get it).

I have nothing to say. I just wanted to post to see if my signature is fixed. I got in trouble for the girls picture being big. :scared1: No not fixed. I think I am legal again.

Hey Deb

I'm just curious as to where in Delaware you're building. I was raised in Wilmington, left there in 1975 though.

Also, what reservations are you guys making at the one year mark?

Well hello
Wow this is a busy thread!:scared1: almost 15000 posts and it is still over a year away! Well at least people are excited about the cruise. My husband and I are going to be in a Cat 6 (I made him get up at an ungodly hour to do the reservations:lmao: ) and my sister in law and her husband are going to be in Cat 9. I am sooooooo looking forward to all the days at sea. Those were my favorite part of our 7 day eastern caribean cruise. As excited as I am though I can't think about it right now because we are going on the Mediteranean cruise this August and we just made our shore excursion reservations a few days ago! My brain might explode with all the excitement!

Hi Tina,

We're building in Laurel, DE. It's south of Georgetown near the MD border. Probably 1-2 hrs. from Wilmington. I was there once. It's quite a small city, but very nice. Our property is horizontal to Bethany beach. I love it there. We always go to Henlopen beach in Lewes now and we fell in love with the area and decided that's were we're going to retire. I love Rohoboth beach also. Then you have Ocean City, MD just down the road.:goodvibes

At the one year mark I can make the car rentals and the hotels on both sides. I have to wait an additional month and then I can make the flight ressies. We're driving to FL and flying home from LA. I book the car and the flight through Orbitz and the hotel directly on the Holiday Inn site. I've already checked all of them. When it asks for dates I forward their calendar as far as it will let me go and I know how long I have to wait. I'm getting very anxious because it's so close now.
:thumbsup2

(Was Brent in town??)

:lmao: :lmao: She wishes!

I say the kiss doesn't count....it was stolen, not 'shared' ;)

.
hmmmmm. this leads to a QUESTION OF THE DAY!

When/where was your first kiss?

I know I was kissing boys in SECOND GRADE....does that count? OK...let's modify that question to post-puberty first kiss...

I don't actually remember, but I got my first REALLY grown up kiss ;) the summer of '65 (age 15) in a yellow convertible from a boy named Smitty from Brooklyn! I remember that VERY well!

next.....

Hi Heather, Welcome!!! Yes, we can be a chatty group sometimes. Like you, we are very excited about this cruise, even though it's a year away. We're all looking forward to the sea days...and we've got lots of lists with people interested in doing lots of activities those days. You should check page one when you have a chance. Lucky you going on the Med cruise. Have a blast! Some people on here are doing the Med also. I would feel the same way that you do if I was doing both cruises, especially when you have already done your excursions for the Med. You're going to have an awesome experience. Enjoy!!!:woohoo:
