yes, I think it is a bit of both. I can't believe how many copy catters are coming out of the woodwork...

my sister is so excited...she and her boyfriend are driving down to Ft Lauderdale tonight and are sailing on their first cruise tomorrow...it's a 3 or 4 night on Royal Caribbean. Of course she wants to go on DCL but doesn't get that you have to book well in advance. She's been calling me all the time trying to help her plan....apparantly she only knows how to use Google for fashion tips.

How exciting for her! The excitement of my first cruise comes back every time I catch first sight of the Magic on my way to port! :goodvibes

The visual on your sister Googling for fashion tips just cracked me up...

I think so too.

(Strange, I posted this a few minutes ago but it disappeared.)

Today is such a gloomy day here, overcast and possible rain showers. I have to get motivated to get going here in an hour as I have a hair and manicure appointment at 1:30 PM. We are going to Reno on Friday for weekend to meet some friends. We have a friend who commutes to Reno on the weekend as he and his wife actually live near Mt. Rose. He works from Tuesday to Friday in the Bay area and then flies home. They still have a condo he lives in during the week. Way too much flying for me!!

that's her....she's lucky if she could find her way out of a paper bad...her boyfriend is just as bad. The main reason they are going down tonight is they were afraid they would not find the port in time and miss the ship!:sad2:

I am glad Friday is approaching!! I am planning on weeding through more of the girls clothes this weekend and putting them on Craig's list...or maybe Ebay, I just hate all the fees involved. And part of me hates to get rid of them as well.

I would also love to do some yard work this weekend and clean out the garage...but that is a month long project I am sure. How many people have a 2 car garage that even a matchbox car wouldn't fit in? It is truly amazing the stuff we have accumulated. Not sure why we are holding on to half of it! But maybe I can find some sellable items in there as well...more money for Disney I say!

She sounds like me when I was in my 20's. My DD still brings more shoes than clothes!!

My youngest DD took pictures of all of her clothes to sell on EBAY but never got around to selling them. They are still in her closet here at home. We told her she will have to get rid of these clothes before she comes home as it looks like she never went to University.

My parents had a garage that took my three sisters and I two full weeks, 5 days a week, 6 hours a day to clean. The only pathway in the garage was from the inside garage door to the washing machine and dryer.

I keep weeding out my own stuff but have way too much stuff!! With the stuff I inherited from my parents, I need to do some spring cleaning!!! Hope to do more when the weather is better.

Well, it's amazing how sick some people can be. My son brought home a school letter yesterday that said there was graffeti at the nearby high school that said "Everyone at VMHS will die on 4/20" and "the bombs are already planted." Of course it's probably not true but the fear it instills is awful. I can't understand it.

I hope everyone is doing well. It's seems like there's a cloud over the nation...even the board seems to have less posts!!! I know the cloud will lift soon!!!

OMG...how horrible. Monday night there was a warning issued for schools in Pierce county, but it was gone by Tuesday am. Amazes me that people think it is entertaining to make threats like that at a time when the whole country is in an emotional state.

no more talking about migranes....it floated west and landed in my head...uuuggghhhh. where is calgon when I need her....okay not a very funny pun huh?

on a lighter note, we're playing semi-hookey today and working while watching the Giants vs St Louis. Hopefully our winning streak (of 1 game) has begun.

You're right, that's just sick. :sad1: And sad. :sad2:

On a brighter note, we're having what's probably our most beautiful day yet! It's sunny and supposed to hit 60! WOOHOO! :woohoo: I think tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer. Might have to do some yardwork if my finger feels better by tomorrow. Crazy story....I had a hangnail that I pulled off over the weekend and it became infected! I've been putting antibiotic ointment on it, but this morning when I woke up, it looks quite disgusting (no need to describe the gross, infected details), and throbs non-stop. Going to try one more thing today: 2 co-workers told me to soak a tiny piece of bread in water, put that on the infected part and wrap it up. Supposedly it pulls the infection out. I'll give it a shot when I get home from work today, but if that doesn't work, I'll be headed to the doctor tomorrow. :guilty: This hasn't been a good month.

Holly, I think you are in need of a vacation!!!!!!!!! Then again, things usually happen in 3s, so the bronchitis, migraine and now the finger...you are done!:thumbsup2 hope it gets better soon.

Poor Holly when it rains it poors.

My water heater went out yesterday morning and I was just thinking it was the pilot light. No such luck though when I went to check it out it was dripping.:scared1: So the guy is here putting a new one in right now. At least our tax check will be arriving soon. I am jumping in the shower as soon as he leaves. The funniest part about it was when he checked the code on the water heater it was from 1976.

Lucky for you it didn't leak! Glad it is fixed now. My furnace is gone, brrrrrr. So after my fun night of the garage door incident, the next 2 nights DD1 was up all night with a stomach thing and then Mon night and last night I was up all night trying to figure out where a burning smell was coming from. Thought about calling the fire department but it was 2am and figured they couldn't do much. Turns out that the fan on the furnace is kaput and it is burning the motor (or whatever it is). So, I turned shut down the power to it and will let DH deal with it when he comes home today. Myself, as soon as I get home I am going into bed, watching Grey's Anatomy and October Road and sleeping! Why is it all this stuff always happens when I am home alone...and it happens in the middle of the night?!

Sounds like she is lucky she has a big sister to help her out! Now, even with my shoe obsession, I think a suitcase just for shoes for a 3 d is a bit much. I could see 1/2 a suitcase, but not a full one:lmao: Hope she has a great time.
