375 days? Oh, that seems like a lifetime......I was looking at the sheet I have for "cruise budget" and about fell off my chair - the tips and passports alone are an extra $1k.
I told John he better go hike his pant leg up on his lunch breaks.

:lmao: :rotfl2:

I keep looking at that too and get faint:scared1: . And, then I think about the Shutter's package and what I might actually spend on pictures:scared1: :rolleyes1 :scared1: Then add on the DOD's and tastings and spa visits.... UHOH better stop thinking about that now and be thankful it is still 12+ months away:rotfl2:
Good thing DH doesn't look into this stuff so that by the time he asks about it, I will have it all saved up in my little "stash".

On a more positive note, my nephew is presenting at Web 2.0 Expo 2007 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco:
.

You must be very proud! That is so great that his company is doing so well.

Although it wouldn't be one to add to the movie list...last night around 1am when I was hoping to fall asleep, I did one last channel "flip" and happened across Cocktail (Tom Cruise) and got sucked in:happytv: Could barely keep my eyes open, but just had to see how it ends (like I hadn't seen it 30 times before or anything). Love those older sappy chick flic feel good movies.....

As more information comes to light, this just becomes more and more disturbing (and scarey). He was obviously a very troubled young man. Makes you ask more and more, all those, "what if" questions that make the situation even more difficult to digest.

This article spells out what is bothering me.

Still grieving for the victims, students and teachers have described a sullen loner whose creative writings for his English literature degree were so laced with violence and venom that they alarmed some of those around him.

University Police Chief Wendell Flinchum said his officers confronted Cho in late 2005 after two women complained separately that he had harassed them in person, through phone calls and with instant messages.

"I'm not saying they were threats; I'm saying they were annoying," Flinchum told a news conference at the sprawling rural campus in southwestern Virginia.

After the second incident in December 2005, Cho's roommate warned police he might be suicidal, prompting them to issue a "temporary detention order" and send him to a nearby mental health facility for evaluation, Flinchum said.

Officials would not say how long Cho stayed at the facility, but roommates said he was gone for a couple of days. The women declined to file charges against Cho. Neither was among his victims on Monday, police said.

Despite encounters with the law and his past psychiatric treatment, Cho was able to legally purchase the two handguns he used in the attack. The shooting has rekindled debate over U.S. gun laws, the most lenient in the Western world.

Yesterday the local community college (Estrella Mountain) received information that there would be a mass shooting at the school. The school was shut down and nothing was found. This caused Jenna's elementary school (which is only a few blocks from the college) to go on Lockdown. She and her classmates spent three hours sitting on the floor of their classroom.

For a chick "flic" feel good movie, I think I would choose An Affair to Remember.

Recently we shared that Shawn's mother passed in our home a few years back. After Jenna was born, we ended up making a decision to build a new home. By the time our house was finished, Jenna was almost 18 months old. A few weeks ago, Jenna said "Can we take Kayla by our old house"? So, on our way to Costco, we drove by and Kayla said "Oh, I never lived there".

This morning while Leslie is getting for work, Kayla comes in after waking up and says "Mom, I just had a really neat dream". Leslie asked her what it was about. Kayla says "We all moved back into our old house, and you know who lives there - Daddy's mom! We got to live with our grandma and you know what - she is really nice"!

Kind of freaky! Jenna and Kayla don't know that their grandmother had passed away in our old house. Even that she had visited us in that house.

My DD said that her entire Political Behavior Class was spent discussing the shooting. Young people are very torn about the gun control issue and giving up more civil rights. College students especially are worried about freedoms we took for granted growing up are steadily being eroded by fear of terrorism.

Your story reminded me of what my GD Bailey said after my mother passed away in 2003. Bailey told me GG was really happy because Heaven had a library. After my sister passed in 2004, Bailey told me GG was happy to see Karen (my sister) could now go shopping together again. Bailey didn't really know that these were the two things my mom and sister really loved to do together.

now I am on Ebay looking for custom outfits for the girls....an addiction. I do have lots to sell of theirs I just hate to part with it. Their pirate overalls don't fit and were only worn once on Cozumel...I could keep Samantha's for Haley but as small as she is it will be a long time before she can wear them.
I just won something sailor Minnie for embarkation/sail away....and Johnny better not get them virgin strawberry daiquiri's this year or what ever red drink he got them last cruise!!

How's everyone's weather? I have to say this has been the oddest year for weather....it is now back to where I need the air on, yet the past two days we had the windows open??!!

Amazing to me how young children often have these abilities. Those stories are quite incredible.

Our weather is horrible....hail, rain, clouds, cold, yuck!! Been a very hard March and April. Counting down the minutes until we are in 80 and sunny sitting by the pool at OKW! :cool1:

Enjoy your ebay searches.....your girls are going to be the best dressed on board!

I hope the weather stays 80 for you! The last few years May has been pretty darn warm!

Warmer is fine with me:thumbsup2 Just as long as it doesn't go below 60 I am a happy girl (not below 70 would make me even happier!)

well unless something wild happens, you don't have to worry!:rotfl:

sorry to hear, this is a hard way for a little one to have to spend time at school.

Hi everyone! Just checking in...have been super busy that past few days but just wanted to let you know I'm still around and have been trying to keep up todate with all your posts.

Karen-pixie dust your way for the shop, I can imagine how frustrated you must feel.

Lisa-praying for your son, his friends and really everyone in VA!

Hope everyone else has had as good a day as possible. I know most people around here are still reeling from the whole VA Tech tragedy!!!
