Hi Holly, are you still going to the gym everyday and keeping your motivation going?

Sorry your "blind date" set up didn't work out. If he was that aweful, why in the world did Cindy think you two would connect? Better to pick your own dates. Where is Alejandro (I know I spelled that wrong....but you know who I mean.)???

Don't give up on all blind dates though - that's how I met DH - 20 years ago - ack!! (My parents met on a blind date too!)

Hi dinnermate Lisa, I have to believe that they're doing it for a reason and that later we'll find out. They're usually all connected in some way or another.:goodvibes popcorn::

I'm hoping for a lot of "ah ha" moments before the season is out. But they will probably not give us too much until the end (2 more seasons - I think I heard they were ending at 5 season).

Yup! My motivation is still going strong! Last week I went to the gym Wed, Thurs, Fri, and Sat. This week I went yesterday and today.....and plan on tomorrow and Sat too. :thumbsup2 4 days is all I can do because of my schedule.

Cindy just met that guy at the bar and hadn't talked with him long enough to know he was a jerk. He hadn't had so many drinks yet at that point. He kept drinking, then by the time I left, the bartender told me he just finished his THIRD 6-pack of beer! :sad2: I would never hang out with somebody who drinks that much.....and I suspect his behavior was the result of so many drinks. :scared: She just started talking to him and when she found out he goes to the same law school as me, she thought we'd have something in common.

Alejandro.....you spelled it right! :thumbsup2 He's history. Long story short, I found out he has a WIFE back home in Mexico! Lots of people called her and told her about us, so he called me and fessed up. I was pretty crushed because I got hooked by his killer smile really fast, but I'm OK with it now because I know that just means there's somebody better out there somewhere, just waiting for me to find him.

Oh, I have NO problems with blind dates. I think they're fun because I just love meeting people. Besides, I still have lots more frogs to kiss! :thumbsup2

OK folks....I hate to drop a bomb and run (no, I didn't fart....I meant my Alejandro woes), but I'm headed to bed so I can be refreshed and brilliant for work in the morning. :goodvibes Goodnight all!

:rotfl:

I met my DH on a blind date. Your right you still have lots of frogs to kiss.

Yes Please PJ, I would like to try an ALL PINK Tink, can you do the wings a shade lighter than the dress? I think that'll look perfect for our Mascot Cheri. She can wear a pink Tink dress, shoes and wings too.:cutie:

Cheri, I don't think you need to wear a blonde wig, but if you want to that's ok also.:wizard:

Good thing I've got 13 months.

I've got to go now...I need to do an eBay search for "shoes pink Tink".

Good for you ... keeping up with the gym four times a week!!! I'm glad to see that you're still motivated and have not given up.

OK, I get it about the Cindy blind date thing...you needed time to tell he was not Mr. Right anything....I could see, as the night went on he went wrong.

So sorry to hear about the Alejandro thing. WHY do they have wives and still want to call you??? I'll NEVER understand that. If you want to play the field, stay single. If you want to be married, stay committed.

Anyway, yes, you still do have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince. I remember going out on a LOT LOT LOT of first dates. I got so good at it, I knew within the first drink what kind of a "friend" category each guy was going to fall into. I spent 13 years single before meeting DH and then knew within the first 15 minutes that this one was going to be interesting and fun. I knew within the first date that he would be in my life forever. He asked me to marry him two weeks after meeting him and we were married five months to the exact day of our first date. Here we are celebrating 18 years since that first date on this cruise.

SOOOOOooooooo Kiss More Frogs!

Awwww...sweet story! Thanks for sharing

Just popping in to say hi! i have been totally swamped at work but will be able to breath this week-end. Have some work to be done with the fish teams! They are coming along nicely - we could use a couple more people as I have a volunteer to be a leader. Sorry to pop in and run but have to go to bed! Lisa

My best friend is happily married for close to 15 years to a blind date that me and DH set her up on. His friend, my friend. They're still together today and still in Love.

I'm hoping for a lot of "ah ha" moments before the season is out. But they will probably not give us too much until the end (2 more seasons - I think I heard they were ending at 5 season).

Do you remember the end of last season when the explosion went off in the hatch and you saw two guys somewhere in a tent in the ice and snow and they got a reading on a machine they were monitoring .... then they made a phone call to the girlfriend of the guy that was in the hatch....remember all that. They have not picked up on that storyline this whole season. I'm waiting for them to tie in that loose end.

I still love it, no matter how many questions they throw at us. Where did you hear only five seasons? I hope not. If that's all they do, they better start answering some of these diversions that they take us down each week. Remember Libby in the mental institution with Hurley. She also gave the sailboat to the guy in the hatch. What's that all about? Never picked up that storyline again either.

Still, it's an excellent show. I love it.

Holly, I admire your positive attitude. Even though I haven't met you, I can tell you're a very special woman, and a really special mom. Best wishes to you!:thumbsup2

Holly, so sorry to hear about your blind date and now Alejandro. I am glad to hear that you have a positive attitude about men. My esthetician told me after being divorced 20 years she was content with life and was happy to grow old alone with her kids and GK's. One week later, on a blind date, she met Jerry and they are getting married in June. Never say never!!

I think it was in Entertainment Weekly about the 5 seasons. I also saw that Libby would be back in flashbacks as we still don't know her story about the mental hospital with Hurley and giving Desmond the boat.

Next week looks good!

I have a feeling next year we will be on the cruise ship for the season 4 finale. At least since it is on ABC we should be able to see it onboard!

OK, good idea. But I have to go now and do an eBay search for "wings pink Tink"....;)

OK, pink wings may be a problem...but you can get white angel wings and dye them. I think I have a pair somewhere in a halloween box if you want me to look for them and send them, let me know.

Sassy Bubbles, don't forget your other mascot....you have Champagne Cork and tina/tlb2864. We still need a persona for her. Maybe she can do the bubbles???

Isn't that how it always happens....when you're content in your life and swear off meeting a man...when you least expect it, or rather, when you no longer expect it, then...voila...it happens!

It's amazing, so many stories are like that.

like the tink in pink...

frogs can be princes in hiding in bars too...met mine there (yup) we had both been drinking...he told me the next day when he picked me up for dinner "I thought you were blonder" still says that to me 15 years later...

tomorrow is my big 43. Whoppie! Facial planned so far, maybe a pedi too, we'll see how the day goes.

Nite all,

Nan
