Can anyone hear an echo in here today???

I've put my washing on the line, added to my mermaid picture....I am now covered in green paint btw (Apparently I went to the University open evening yesterday with blue paint in my hair!!! ).....at this rate I'll ahve to do some housework!

Good morning everybody! After seeing that Tyler still feels yucky today, it's another day at home for us. Fortunately, I was able to just leave a message with our office manager about not coming in, rather than having to talk to her, so I didn't have to hear how angry she must be. Yesterday there were only 2 secretaries (for 8 attorneys) instead of our usual 4, so I'm sure things are quite backed up today for the other 3. I do feel bad for them because the attorneys get quite frustrated when they can't have things done immediately. Oh well.....nothing I can do about it.

Have a great day everybody! We're off to the doctor to see about something for his little cough. Poor kid needs some relief so he can get some uninterrupted sleep.

She can't talk, she can't sleep.....says she doesn't want to come home. No teacher has called me.....they haven't taken her temp....

I want to get on a flight NOW and go get her.

Oh that's so awful! have you actually been able to talk to one of her teachers? I would want to talk to them first I think.

You must be feeling awful with your young daughter being away frm home and ill. I can understand why you would want to get down there. I would get to speak to a teacher. Can you get any info from the school? They should be in contact with the group leaders. I would have thought they would be wanting you to go down if she was very ill, so maybe they think she is improving.

I would go with your instincts. You know more than those teachers or anybody else how your daughter handles sickness and what's normal or not normal for her when sick. Go with your gut. Even if you end up getting there and find her not as bad as you'd thought, at least you'll have peace of mind. But then again, if they felt she was really critical, they'd probably tell you it was that bad. So I guess my answer isn't much help after all. Sorry!

That is how I felt really Holly! Such a difficult position to be in. Really I would have hoped the teachers would have been much more helpful than they appear to have been.

It's hard enough seeing one's child sick, but must be so much worse being far away and not being able to see personally how she's feeling.

Just a cold. A cough, but not major any more. Runny nose is now more prevalent than cough. Improving, but still not very energetic and not much appetite. It's really just a cold, but I can tell he doesn't feel great and I didn't want to infect anybody at day care. Unlike a terrible day care we had when he was younger, this place is great about not allowing coughing kids to stick around. They don't hesitate to call the parents and ask them to immediately come pick up their child.....or if they see the child coughing and acting sick at the time of drop off, I've seen them politely request the parent to take the child back home. Not always convenient to parents, but I appreciate not having so many illnesses spread around.

Hi there! Granmaz doesn't have a new puppy....I do. She's a long haired german shepherd, about 9 weeks old. If her potty training is still going on after 6 months, I will shoot myself. I'm told she'll get it when she's about 12 weeks old. Your Chihuahua does sound like a silly puppy going outside doing nothing and then inside doing her business. I trained my last dog with hot dogs. When I walked him and he happened to do his business, I gave him a slice of a hot dog. I'll start doing that with this one in a couple of weeks too.

I'm so jealous....take me with you....I miss Mickey. I haven't seen him since October so I'm overdue. How long are you staying? Where are you staying? Have FUN!!!

D'oh! I'm so sorry about the wrong name thing. She is our second dog and we have been very lax with her so it is totally our fault but she is just so cute how could I possible be mad at her?!

I'm only going for 4 days but that's better than no days, right?!

I used to put an extra pillow or two under the mattress to prop the head up a bit. Used to think it was better than more and more pillows. It helped with coughs a little and that awful feeling with a cold and lying down.

That's exactly what I did Saturday night and left it like that. He freaked out that first night, saying "I don't like that! I can't sleep like that!" But seems not to mind anymore.

Well, it was a tough loss yesterday. If Tajuan Porter would have just hit half of the shots he missed, it may have been a different scenerio. Can't be depressed, we had a heck of a season for Oregon. Very proud to be an alumn and very proud to be a Duck! Congrats to Florida and best of luck the rest of the way, though we have to stick with our conference and cheer on UCLA. Funny, Oregon beat two of the four teams left in the Final Four - UCLA and Georgetown. Florida has some extremely athletic big guys. Can't remember his name, but that 6'9" forward is so quick, you would think he was 6'! Amazing!

They are definitely using their size!!

I keep popping on to keep my eye on it. I don't like it at all when it nears the bottom of the page . Never, ever allow it to move to page 2!!

There are only a handful of us posting on my other cruise thread and it goes off to page 3 sometimes!
