ok Deb, it's a coffee/gallery date!;)

When we moved in we had a BBQ and invited our neighbours, it was really fun:) Unfortunately all our neighbours work, so it's during the day its quiet here. I'm fine most of the time, I have loads to occupy me, I just miss all my old friends from Essex...I lived there all my life....over 40 years (:scared1: ) We used to get together all the time for a coffee and chinwag (that's a chat in Angelspeak);)

My last collage was a heart with wings and I quite like that one, maybe I'll pm you a pic ;)

Mandy,

PM me too!! I love art!! I am really curious about the sea one as we love things that are beachy!!:thumbsup2

Karen

ok, so it's mine for coffee this afternoon....and yours for wine sampling tonight then!;) Do we drink wine?.........:rotfl2: :lmao:

Oh yes! We love our wine, Mark belongs to a wine club....mmmmmm:cool1: We can't wait to order a box of wine from Karen for next year's cruise!

We like a good shiraz, but champagne is my fave too:) On Saturday we had a lovely rose champagne with the dinner DH cooked (roast sea bass), an a Pinot Grigio :) I'm definatley a champagne girl though.

Shall we start up a club...the Champagne Girls?:cool1: Maybe we could make badges for everyone.......;) :lmao:

AHA!!! That's were the new Champagne Girls tag came from in Deb's signature!!

I knew it was new!!;)

Karen

Well that's just the cherry on top of the cake! I SO LOVE IT! I'm copying it and using it for our badges. I'm making them up.....anyone else want to join????.....I'll make a bunch of them. Then, when we get on board I'll tell everyone that I'm part of an eite group called THE CHAMPAGNE GIRLS! And I'll walk around with my DOD in one hand and my champagne in the other. Now that's a vacation!:lmao: :rotfl2:  :dance3: :hippie:

Count me in!! (Big surprise there, I'm sure!):rolleyes1

I really like both white star and veuve, but my current favorite is Charles Heidsieck. We tried the "blue label" at Victoria and Albert's last December and have had it a couple times since! I will be bringing it into the shop when we move and have more space. It is really good!!:thumbsup2

Of course, I have many other favorites too!!:lmao:

Karen

here you go Deb....don't say I didn't warn you though....

A work in progress....

These are GREAT!!! Can't wait to see the mermaid one finished!

Noel-glad you finally go some hot water. I would have been a "not so nice" person when it required a 2nd comment from me.

Karen - hope you're feeling better soon.

Champagne Girls Club - can I be an honorary member too?? While I really enjoy a good glass of wine, 1 sip of champagne gives me a REALLY bad headache the next morning.

John - tell Sophia - WAY TO GO!! a huge hurtle (SP?) for her to jump over. :cheer2:

I still have to catch up on loads of pages....will try to touch base again later.

I've had a lazy weekend lurking. As Holly said, not feeling very posty. But now you have my interest. Count me in as a champagne girl. :thumbsup2 I may get kicked out because I don't stick to strictly champagne. I like sparkling wines from other regions, especially Banfi Regale Rose. Yum, yum. Speaking of my favorite sparkling wine, Karen is now sold out. I waited too long to order. :sad2: Karen, will you be getting in anymore??

Sold the last few this weekend, but I can get more in at any time, just pm me when you want to order and how much and I will order it up!!:thumbsup2

Thanks!!

Karen

Believe me, if I would have had more time, I would have changed hotels!!

Where we last left off, I was taking a power nap before the Thai dinner.

I LOVE Thai food!! Have not felt like eating for two days with this stomach flu, but my mouth still watered with your picture and description!

Thanks for all the nice comments on my Blog.

Noel

Enjoyed reading them, thanks for sharing!!:thumbsup2

Karen

Whew!! All caught up! Can't believe it!!:cool1:

I'm going to take a little nap now, hope to be back later!!

Karen

Deb,

I noticed that your wine was delivered, let me know if you try any of them tonight!!:thumbsup2

So here's something really creepy: Yesterday, when we went in the back yard to play for about 15 minutes, as Tyler climbed up the rock wall part of his playset to the covered platform part to sit, I saw a plastic cup up there and grabbed it to move it out of the way before he knocked over and spilled whatever might be in it. I was picturing mud or something that would spill down the slide and then he'd be too grossed out to slide. As I grabbed the cup, I made the mistake of looking inside of it out of curiosity. There was a DEAD MOUSE lying in some unidentifyable goop (I didn't look close enough to determine what it was after seeing the mouse) AND there was a plastic lighter lying next to the cup. This was all sitting up on the platform where a couple of kids can sit and pretend to drive, etc. So I'm wondering WHO THE HECK was in my backyard, and WHEN?! Since last fall, we've only been out there once and that was maybe two weeks ago, and the stuff wasn't there then. I know I didn't put it there because I don't own a lighter and don't even have any plastic cups like that. All the neighbors surrounding our back yard are elderly, so I know it wasn't them. So somebody walked up my driveway to my fence, opened the gate which is right next to my bedroom, and went in my backyard to do who knows what!

Isn't that creepy?

Holly, that is way creepy....call me paranoid, but I'd call your local police department and have an officer come out and take a report. That's your private backyard and thusly whoever was there was trespassing. It'll put you on the depts radar and they'll do a few extra drivebys on your street, which is sure to deter anyone lurking. You can never be too careful these days!!! Be safe and check your window locks, etc. too!

I have to admit I skipped 20 or so pages...there's no way I could go back and read from 689 to 715...UGH

I like the idea of the champagne girls, though...I'd join that group! :drinking1

You're on the list....welcome!

Did you guys read about the bed bugs on DCL? EWWW. I am all itchy just thinking about it.

I can't read about it....I'll have nightmares for ages. I trust the DCL will take care of the problem the way they do most things. I expect it will be resolved before my next sailing.

Ditto to what Lisa said and I would get a lock for your gate. Easy enough to put on and will give you some peace of mind.:thumbsup2

I don't go to bed without making sure everything in the house is locked. I usually even go so far as to stand out on my porch and check out the neighborhood. Since I am usually up so late, if I see anything at that time of night on my street, I make sure it's nothing untowards!

We also have a really safe neighborhood, but anything can happen anywhere!

Be safe!

Karen

Still scrambling. I just wish they would have told me what would happen when I called to inquire about taking a semester off. I never would have taken off. :sad2: I did register anyway and have just under a month to come up with payment. Not giving up hope though. :goodvibes I'm 1/3 of the way done.....too much money invested at this point to let this stop me.

Have you considered using the equity in your house for a loan, maybe a refinance or a line of credit??? Just a thought.:confused3

I thought about the police, but I don't want to scare Tyler. So I have to wait until he goes to his dad's Wednesday. Well, I guess I could leave him at day care for a bit longer tomorrow and have them come over after work before I go pick him up. That just wasn't possible today since he was sick and we both stayed home.

What's interesting is that a police car or motorcycle often sits on our corner (about 3 houses down) in a speed trap. Seems like that would have been a deterrent, because they don't have a set pattern of when they do their speed trap there.
