hello everybody!:thumbsup2

It's freezing here today. We popped out as I had to see a Doctor about a medical (result of my car accident last year...still ongoing with insurance company...) and ended up going shopping and having coffee in a nearby town. I was sooo cold as I hadn't dressed for the weather and had sandals and a thin jacket on...brrrrrr......I need some sunshine!;)

You know, I've been thinking about this crowd thing. Do you suppose if we went over the the Disneyland forum and WARNED THEM that we'd all be getting off the ship and hitting the parks that THEY would stay home and make room for us? :confused3 :lmao:

:rotfl: we could ask!;)

That's a hoot! I know an old English anti-war/drinking song! However I can NOT post it on the DIS, but will be glad to sing/teach you all on the ship. I learned it one night in a bar and took it down in shorthand on a cocktail napkin...about 25 years ago! See.....I CAN remember the important things ::yes::

OK, I want to hear that one! :rotfl2: We'll have a couple of DODs and you can sing it to me in your best English accent ok?:thumbsup2

Oh, I haven't been on either of those YET! I'm still not sure about Mission Space...but didn't they make a milder version??? I'd try that.

I did MS when it first opened and hated it! I've never felt motion sickness before, ever, but by goodness, that made me feel really green!!!!!

DS would beg to differ! He got off Expedition and quietly, but firmly, told me that, "That was a mistake!"

Carolyn

:lmao:

Oh my gosh!! I would have to die and go to heaven with that at my fingertips!:thumbsup2

Now I really want to go to England for a visit!!:goodvibes

Karen

Karen, you know where your next trip after the WB has got to be then!:thumbsup2 Maz and I will have taught you some wonderful English accents and sayings by then...you can come and sample the wonderful delights of London and Reading, then go up North to see Maz!:goodvibes

Sorry Mandy, I have you two brits lumped as one...shame on me....I guess it will be one loney Paul on board and lots of Johns

;) No problem!

 Hello everybody!

Writing to you from the beautiful lobby at Disney's Vero Beach!

Free Wi-Fi this year, but I have to walk over to the lobby.

I won't be on long, as it has been a long travel day.

After we got here, about 5:00, Sophia and I were going in the gate to the pool, and the couple ahead of us looked at us and said "Aren't you on the WB Repo cruise??" :rotfl2:

Now what kind of coincindence is that?

Got to meet Tiggerhappy and her husband who are down here to catch some baseball Spring training. I am terrible, and would have never recognized someone from pictures!

Hope Utah is doing well in the pagent!

Our HS team Lost in the state semi-final tonight . . .:sad2:

Sounds like you're in a wonderful place John!:) How strange seeing someone else from the cruise!

Tell her that her Birthday will just have to last longer since she has been ill!;)

Hope she is "up to snuff" soon!!:thumbsup2

Karen

She's all for that Karen!:thumbsup2 She must be feeling better today as they've gone up to London anyway :) I think the lure of the shops has been very strong......:rotfl: Paul was very disappointed that he'd made her a cake though and she couldn't eat it...he's just so sweet!

Oh no, will I be alone again on the DIS?:scared1:

Will I be talking to myself again?:sad2:

Will I go mad and fall and can't get up!!:scared:

Tune in in a couple of hours and see on...

The DIS is right!!

Karen, slightly crazed and obsessed DISer...

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Karen, you sound as crazy as me!:rotfl2:

Well, it's another Saturday morning and the burning question is....WILL I do some housework today???? Willl I get my stuff together for my taxes??? Will I at least find the top of my desk and craft table??? We'll see :confused3

The only way I'll drag myself to a baseball game is if it's in the SUITE (air conditioning, private bath, comfy chairs)!

Alrighty.....I'm off to read ONE trip report then start some housework...wish me luck!

I have the same problem....will I do some ironing.....will I ever find the table (never mind the top of it!).....will I ever get around to starting that collage I've been imagining ......no I'll go shopping instead! (and come on here after) ;)

.....and DH plays lacrosse and the only way I'd go and watch is to sit in the nice warm clubhouse with a drink and a good book!;)

dum de dum de dum......la la la.......:happytv: This is me talking to myself and my computer......:dance3: :rolleyes1

We are freezing here too. Just regretted popping into town and glad to get back to the warmth. Only went for some much needed exercise and some hot x buns!

I went on the intense ride before they had the less intense and just hated it! I sucked mints and focussed straight ahead. Just had no idea about the landing of the space ship, but I was sure glad when we did!! Did go back on the less intense last time and it was ok, but quite happy to give it a miss in the future.:)

Good morning!

We will be heading out for Montana late today. We will drive about 4 hours to my niece's home in Washington State tonight then on over the mountains to Missoula tomorrow. I checked the weather for the passes we have to drive over and it looks like we might have a few snow showers mixed with rain showers but it is not looking like the snow will be sticking. Whew! Was not looking forward to figuring out how to chain up the motorhome. :scared:

:rotfl2: Oh no! You've caught the DISease too! :rotfl:

Just got back from the gym. MAJOR workout again. I'm on a roll (working to get rid of my rolls)! :lmao:

Reading everything here, but not responding much....Just not feeling very posty today.

Our friends went on MS for the first time on a trip with us. My family didn't want to go on (only DH has been on it before and he said once was enough, which to me means, I would not enjoy it). About an hour later (the wait was 10 minutes) we were searching for them in the ride exit area and still could not find them. Another 30 min went by and we saw some woman on a walkie talkie telling the other person to breathe! She heard us trying to find our friends and told us that the ride had broken down...her DH was stuck on it. Our friends were not in his capsule, but that explained where they were. I think they ended up being stuck in the capsule in the dark for over an hour and then about 20 minutes with the lights on before they were able to be removed. By the time they got off, both parents were pretty white (and ready for a DOD! :lmao: )and the kids were just chatty kathy's talking about how cool that was! Their "gift" for experiencing that...fast passes to go back on MS...which they quickly gave away:rotfl2:

Have a great trip. It is pouring here in the seattle area....so nothing but wet roads. Enjoy Montana...it is so beautiful there

That makes me feel panicky just reading it!!! :scared1: I would have wanted more than a fastpass!!

Hey everyone! I just finished my vacation planning for DL with the vacation planners. That is one of my very favorite things about DL that WDW does not have.

John, I am SOOOOOO Jealous!!!!! Give Sophia a big hug from me!!!

We are going to Las Vegas Tuesday for a conference we are in charge of. I hate that place. I know its fun and all and everyone loves it, but because of all the smoke and my lovely asthma, I can't breath there, so I never feel good. Bummer.

Anyway, feel like the walking dead after last nights pageant and I have to go have the big fight with my laundry. It has such attitude just sitting there.

Kim

Well, since it is raining (once again) I am off to the gym instead of doing yard work. My last day of Zumba :dancer:(since they start charging 5.00 per class on monday and I just don't like to pay extra when I already pay for a membership).
Hope everyone has a great saturday/weekend.
John enjoy Vero Beach...it's the one DVC resort I have not stayed at.

In case anyone is interested in hitting the movies this weekend, ....Premonition was a very good movie. The girls and DH said that Mimzy was very good as well. Haven't heard much about it from them yet though, they are both a bit  today.

Kim...we were in vegas in January, and the smoking laws had changed. We were able to do some gambling and leave the casino without smelling like smoke! :thumbsup2 If I remember correctly, you are not allowed to smoke in restaurants any more, and are only allowed to smoke when actually gambling. I really enjoyed the effects of the new laws...since I love Vegas, but always leave with a sore throat and cough.

didn't watch the pageant...how did she do?

It was rainy here in the desert yesterday (YEAH) and still overcast this morning, but the sun is trying to peak out.

More Sports Talk: The one thing I CAN sit through forever is equestrian events. ::yes:: Even dressage (which to some folks is like watching paint dry), especially if it's my baby sister competing. However it is nerve wracking to watch a loved one jumping. Pretty dangerous sport and thankfully Peg's come through her years with just a wrecked up finger (THAT was a fun day....not!).

......hmmmm...still on the DIS......still not doing chores...........

Good to hear about Mimzy...we are going to see that today and then shoe shopping for a wedding and the Med Repo cruise...girls gotta have the right shoes....

Have a great day all!!

I dont think we will be able to do any time before the cruise just the day before. I am thinking we will fly out on either AA or Delta on Friday.

I'm with you, I think we'll get in and out within less than 24 hours. I'm begining to worry about the kids not getting the sprinkle of pixie dust from our principal for them to go...seems we are in a fix. DH is on the govering board (BOD for a charter school) and the "new" principal is on an improvment plan after a vote of 1/3 no confidence from her staff(teachers) and she is a bit of a different type person and may hold a grudge against DH for his role in this situtation (not that he created her problem, he just did what any good BOD member would do and followed the charter to this course) so...just a bit of nerves right now.

Good morning everybody! Must have been a slow night here last night----only 2 pages for me to catch up on. Me likey! :thumbsup2 Up early to go work out at the gym. THREE DAYS IN A ROW! Woohoo! :woohoo: I'd say my motivation is true this time.

Congrats!!!! (next time force me to go by your brain waves heading west huh?)

OK....I'll 'fess up. I'm not against all sports. I'm clueless about all, except hockey. It's the only sport I will watch and used to travel to different NHL stadiums for games because I plan on being able to say some day that I've been to all of them! My favorite was Toronto because I also visited the Hockey Hall of Fame when I was there. :cool1: That's somewhere I definitely want to go again. I think Tyler would love it because he says he wants to play hockey. We play street hockey (but in the driveway) all the time.

eh been to the Shark Tank yet????? We had had a good team, San Jose Sharks in years past & a bit of present. An old boss had a suite...it was SWEET, private bathroom, couches, big screens all the best....that is the only way I've ever seen a game of hockey, I'm afraid I got spoiled.

Totally freaky. If I read this story before I went in Dec '05 I would not have gone on it. I can fly a small plane, but don't get me stuck in that contraption again and pretend to send me into orbit.

(I flew little puddle jumpers in my former life 15-27 years old)

Anyway, feel like the walking dead after last nights pageant and I have to go have the big fight with my laundry. It has such attitude just sitting there.

Kim

We watched the end of Miss USA, I think I caught a glimpse of your cousin waving. Sorry she didn't win. But hey top 50 in our country that's awesome!

About that laundry why did you ever let it know you know about it's attitude, now it has you beat. I just pretend it's dead, then it has no voice, zero, zip nada.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I'm up and home with a migraine today, last night we did BAB with the troop, we retired and made a new mascot. Then had cold stone ice cream. Quite fun, but I guess too much on my nerves and now I'm paying for it.

BTW, the troop sold 3405 boxes of cookies! That's over 10K for Council and $1.7K for them. The girls all agreed last night $1K is going into savings for a big retirement trip for them at the very end. I'm glad they have finally seen the light in this. Every year they talk about wanting to save, but never tell us that they want to DO IT. With their mascot planning a retirement life of travel and bliss they all seemed to get that they will be at the end of their road with scouts some day. I hope Molly will be able and willing to hold on to the end and enjoy the fruits of her labor for this trip....she sold 1373 boxes, that's a lot of cookie dough :woohoo:

going to find some coffee and ask the dogs if perhaps we can go back to bed (they would not stop whining once everyone left for little league pancake breakfast here) oh yeah...it's opening day and ceremonies and Wilson's first game, I'm going to try to drag myself there by game time at noon come hell or migraine :headache: (oh yeah I have that already...hmmmmm oh well)
I'll drug up and just pretend I'm not really in my body that's my plan, now to get a ride over there, as those drugs do not allow for me to drive....
