I know, I never understood that either but I still referred to it as a sorority otherwise people didn't know what I was talking about!

UCI is also a very large commuter school which is why at UCI the greek system was so strong...you needed something to get involved with to feel connected.

That is why I did rush, I wanted a base on campus. My DM had worked at the university for 25 years, and I knew I was not going to be in residence ever, so I went Greek. Too many people in Toronto from other countries who knew nothing about the Greek system.

Sorry to be absent so much by my job has had me out of the office for 2 weeks and then I picked up costume mom duties, and I am just whopped. But, without further ado...

The roll call has been updated!!!!

However, it also appears that we may have lost some folks who were on with all the work they have been doing on the boards. So if you were on there and you are not anymore (and ya didn't ask me to take you off) PM me and let me know. I have a master list on my work computer and I can try and merge the two to recreate the whole list.

Trying to catch up on all the messages I missed. You all have gotten really chatty on me!!!

Just popping in to say good morning before I take DS9 to the dentist. I forgot to tell you all that he knocked out a good portion of both of his front teeth (about 1/3 of each one) on our very first day of vacation in Hawaii on a waterslide. We rushed him to a dentist who said he would be able to keep what remained of his teeth, thank goodness. We waited until we got home to have them bonded, however, so we could have it done by his regular dentist. Hopefully, he will have his usual bright smile back by lunchtime.

Ouch!!! When I was around that age I fell down the neighbors concrete stairs busting my 2 top front teeth and part of one of my bottom. I ran home and my mom had locked the doors so I went door to door baning on them and each time my mom came I was gone but the door was covered in blood. She freaked out!! Well they bonded them and I knoked the back out, then my sister accidentlly knocked them out, finally got it right.

Well, goodnight everybody! Can't keep my eyes open much longer. My body is sore from the gym....first time back in months and I worked every muscle group I could think of. My motivation came back and I'm going to work like crazy to get rid of my flab.

Gift for Snow White
Snow White received a camera as a gift. She happily took pictures of the Dwarfs and their surroundings. When she finished her first batch she took the film to be developed. After a week or so she went to get the finished photos. The clerk said the photos were not back from the processor.

Needless to say, she was disappointed and started to cry. The clerk, trying to console her, said,

"Don't worry. Someday your prints will come".

Time for a kitty picture from my household. Here is Acoma, she was helping me do crafts.

Yup, our Star kitty LOVES to help with crafts and projects!!

Her favorite is to get "under" the tissue or cellophane and pretend we can't see her! Talk about cheap entertainment!!

My DD always used to laugh at my "cleaning for the cleaning lady" until he "got it" about getting the clutter out of the way so that the place could "really" be cleaned!
