We're more than likely meeting FL friends for dinner that night, so how will the lanyards be distributed for those who can't come to DTD or Grills?

Lisa, we should have them by the Californai dismeet, I think you're coming to that aren't you? So, I'll hand some out then.

Note to self. Budget Laundry service, limit clothes. Will any Geeks be streaking on Deck 10 this cruise?
This is absolutely wonderful and perfect. Thank you Kelly! We will certainly be there - I can also pick up for any of those staying with us that get in later Friday night - like Kim. As to BBB . . . Yes, Sophia has done it, and it is great for a little girl, BUT . . . do you really want to do it the night before a cruise? Sophia would not let us TOUCH her hair for like a week. What do you do on Sunday at CC and the beach? No swimming? How about hair braiding? Just IMHO best done on a trip where it is your last day before you return home so that she can enjoy it for a few days at least.

I think this is a great idea.....I think I'll jump on and say that it would be a great place to distribute the bracelets too....Kelly and Gydell - would you guys be willing if I get the bracelets to you??? (not for the 4/19 meet). Maybe Jackie will be willing to be the MCO/Hyatt person since she's getting in early.

When I was little (I think 2 or 3) my great uncle got sick of my mother correcting his pronunciation and he said "ah, to h e l l with it, I'll just call her George" and it stuck. My cards were always adressed to George, and cards to him were always signed George.

One of Peg's many nicknames is George also! My grandfater George died while mom was pregnant with Peg. When she was born, she had his exact eye color (all the rest of us have brown eyes), so George became her nicname.

Well, I got an email from Houseparty this am and they told me Disney noticed their mistake yesterday and are fedex'ing a new package to me today to get there tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed!

My DH and I would be willing to distribute them at the Hyatt. Disney usually uses Delta out of Columbus and if it is like last time we should be in by noon (we were in last time by 9 AM. :scared1: )

When will DCL tell you your flights? Glad to hear they fly you in the day before....I thought they didn't do that :confused3 I'll be glad to help and can take all the ones to the group dinner that night.

The terminal and the DIS meet (and IS that 3PM in Promonade Lounge, or did I make that up?) will be good for distributing the rest of them.

Have we decided how we are going to pay for ours....or are we building a 'gift team' to contribute to the expense?

BTW I need ONE laynard....;)

So, for lanyard distribution:
  • Gydell has volunteered to distribute at Grills,
  • Kelly (me) at the 4/19 dismeet in CA & DTD 5/9/08
  • Need one person for the MCO dismeet.
This is a much easier way to distribute than the way we've seen it before with one person obligated and stuck for many, many, many hours or mailing them. We can have an onboard meet at the sailaway or scoops for later arrivals.

Does this sound like it may work for everyone?

Another thought re: distribution.....are we not doing the breakfast meet at the Hyatt anymore?? I know we discussed it, but can't remember if it was scratched or not. If we do breakfast, that would be another opportunity to distribute everything.

My best guess is we'd be looking at about 15 people donating $20 each. I thought I'd read somewhere that it may have been started somewhere. If you are interested in being on a gift team PM me and lets see if we have enough people to do gift teams. Are we looking at around 400 people?????
 
I got the rolling duffle - Big Rig 30. I already have the BR36 but it is 2 inches over the allowed limit. I will be taking it anyway as others have not had a problem with it. Sierra Trading post has them on sale and I have never seen them on sale before. If this is what you order then just order 1 because your next order you get 10% off, if you need another. They only weigh 5lbs. I love my big one!

That's so sweet of you to say Marilyn, but at this point.....I'm just getting started and taking it slow.....then we'll build up. I'm only doing a couple of counts of eight then stop.....not enough to make a difference yet, but I will get there.

It is great for not wanting to smoke.....so it's doubley good!!!

Not sure which is best Steph, I have planned on taking the DME bus back to the airport early on the 10th so I could hopefully be on the first DCL bus out to the port:cool1:

Have you purchased transfers with your DCL ressie? I did, not too expensive since there's just me. I always use the free DME busses from MCO to my resort and back when I visit WDW. I will book this for a return to MCO on May 10 but instead of hopping on a plane I'll be hopping on a DCL bus. I could book the DCL busses, once at my resort and go directly from one of the resorts, but then I have to wait until around noon and I want to get to the port as soon as possible. It would be faster to get private transportation, but a lot pricier for me as I am solo.

We are arriving at WDW the morning of the 9th and will be staying at Port Orleans. Doing waterpark in the morning. Planning to be at AK on the morning of the ninth and probably doing the other waterpark in the afternoon. Our son (10) gets to do the planning for our WDW stay.
