Hmmmm...on the deck plan it shows niches for those rooms. That'a a bummer.

I know...our friends were shocked when they got into the cabins. I think it's misleading of DCL that they don't disclose that...some folks may not care, but for a family of 4, that's a critical piece of storage, especially for 2 weeks. I might send DCL a note about it, not that I'm personally expecting anything but I think when those cabins are assigned, they should mention it somewhere that it doesn't have the standard cabin/storage configuration so that those staying in the cabin have the appropriate expectation!

Ok, so here's a BIG bummer...when we sailed the magic last our friends had 2612 and 2610 and those rooms did not have steamer trunk because there's not a niche in the room for it (don't know why). So, this sailing we're in 2112 and I asked the agent if the room was configured the same as 2612 and she checked...sure enough...it is configured the same and it does not have a steamer trunk. How will we make it for two weeks without a steamer trunk!?!? UGH! I'm so not happy about that! Anyone got suggestions on a good plan for where we're going to put all our clothes for 4 people, aside from the small closet??

someone else's room?:confused3 would be a great way to make a new friend:rotfl:

Oh, I'm so glad you didn't do this show. They for sure would have swapped you with the worst possible family. I can't even watch that show any more. It just seems so fake. I'm sure that thats the family's true selves, but to swap to such a drastic degree is just stupid. I don't see the entertainment in it. What happend to learning and embracing our diversity. Now it just seems that people think their life style is right and there are no other shades of life:sad2:

That is exactly right! Many people do not understand why we do some of the little things we do now that we homeschool, but it works for us and what works for others doesn't work for us - but everyone needs to do what works for them!

V- thanks for the pj pals tip...placed another order last night so we should have lots of new disney clothes for the kids...check out the shoes...only 5.99 can't beat that I bought two pairs one size up for the cruise and later.:thumbsup2

ok what are pj pals?

OK, all you HYATT MCO PEOPLE where are WE having dinner the night before the cruise?

I don't even remember what's available in the airport and has anyone eaten at the Hyatt's restaurant?

I get in 5PMish, I think, and will wait several hours for more folks to show up.

So, suggestions??? :confused3

We have eaten in the Hyatt before and it is very pricey - both the grill and the restraunt - but there is the food court right near by, Chili's express (not the full menu but the main stuff - no corn on the cob :( which I love), and the Macoroni Grill.

We will be staying at the hyatt the night before even though we will be at Disney a few days earlier as we take ME back to airport so we can be on the early bus to the port as we are not with the Hummer group.

V....did you see this on the party planning thread?

V, those are the LATE dining times...do you have main/early?

We are early/main. I know they stagger those as well, but dont have the info handy about the times.

well, everyone calls me V, unless I am in trouble! J/K.....I think John has only uttered Vanessa on our wedding day!
At work I go by Vanessa for the most part but then again, they don't know about my secret life!:rotfl:

I'm V also. especially at work. Which is because a coworker started it and now everyone calls me V. My family has always called me Netia.
DH as you all know is Bubba, which is not his real name. If you used his real name he would not know that you were talking to him.:rotfl: He has been Bubba since he was a kid.

:guilty:

I know, but if they are breaking up late then they wyll break up early as well!

I think and don't quote me on this but its 5:30 5:45 and 6:00 or add 15 min to each time. ie 5:45, 6:00 and 6:15.

And for the MCO folks I was just told by my Bosses wife that there is an Outback at the airport too. They ate there before they flew home Saturday from a dealer meeting and she said it was really good. So it might be one more option.

Yes, especially since now I really need to consider paring down the clothing that we bring...I'll be doing LOTS of laundry which means LOTS of DODs in the laundry room with whoever wants to join me. :lmao:

I'll stop in for the drinks, but not the laundry I'm on vacation baby :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

So for all of you staying on deck 2...is it bumpy? I've never stayed below deck 6 on any cruise ship. I have a gty 10 and those rooms are all over the ship, but mostly on deck2. Any advise?

No, not bumpy at all. They say if you're prone to motion sickness then down low towards the middle is the best spot. In fact, we love the location...especially aft. A quick flight of stairs up for the restaurants and a quick flight of stairs down on port days! Love it!

we've only been on deck 2 and deck 8....deck 2 was much more smooth...way less bumpy than 8.

I did - my package says out for delivery but it is 7:24 and no goodies!

that's funny - in college I had one guy insist on calling me Nesser....I HATED IT! Almost as bad as RED!

That's what I thought until today too. I'll take the drink company anyway...will make me feel better!

I think I might need to bring along one of those hanging shelf things for the closet. I need the folded space more than the hanging space...

Yep, just looked at McCoy's B&G menu http://www.hyatt.com/hyatt/images/hotels/orlan/McCoysMenu1107.pdf
and it's more expensive than Chili's.

Does anybody know which restaurant might be best able to handle a group?

Hello Stacey

We are from Scotland, UK.

We are deaf family and one couple are deaf but they are good speaking anyway apart from our son Keith is only one hearing in the family.

Men & son want to go to KSC but not sure we wait until we arrive.

We are go to the Grills on 9 May and I found website for you - it is http://www.visitgrills.com/

I hope it is right website.

Looking forward to meet you all.

Scottishwee35:thumbsup2

Thank you Deborah, it is the right website.....thanks for finding it and posting it for everyone. Good Job!:thumbsup2

I don't think it's IN the airport...at least it doesn't look that way on the Outback web-site and wasn't mentioned on the MCO's web-site. Unless it's new? :confused3

OK....now I feel I HAVE to go to Chili's for some dinner. V and Bubba...we can pretend we are having dinner together! :thumbsup2

PJ you rocked again!!! I like the ones with the clubs on the back. How about the lifeboaters????

It would have been way too small, maybe I can do a simpler one with Jiminy.

Does anyone on here geocache?

Have any of you that know what I am talking about, done it on a cruise (in the ports that is)?

Just curious how well it worked on excursions and the like as I see there are a few around the ports we will be at and I might be able to fit a few in with the excursions.

thnx a bunch

There are at least a couple of hits on Castaway Cay. I know they are listed on www.geocaching.com

I'll miss you guys - but I know Jackie will delight me in all her stories of the trip. She's really looking forward to her time with you all.

Be safe, happy and blessed!

PJ

From one Pj to another, we will make sure she has a great time and has many stories to share.

Back to reading, twenty pages to go.....

it's due to your nightly menus, that I have gotten in the habit of cooking. Something that I lost track of last summer. It's better for me (calorie wise) and cheaper than fast food.
So here's my menu tonight....Rib Roast with a horseradish, garlic paste. Broccoli and baked potato. For all you calorie counters...the meat at 3oz is 150cal, brocc is about 25 (I'm using 0 cal butter flavor) and potato is about 60 cal. So total dinner for me about 300cal.
Anyways, thanks for the inspiration..even though you didn't know it. I have been trying to lose weight before this cruise and have been successful so this is just helping to keep it off.
AND..the plus side is my daughter has started to open up at the table. Tell me about her day, school etc. Something she rarely did as I an too uncool to her. ;)
