Goodmorning all, we are freezing to death here, it is going down to a nasty 58 today and our heat is on and we're bundled up in sweatshirts! We are beside ourselves and it is the top story on the news!!!!! Of course, our houses aren't built for it either. I know, I know, I can hear you laughing at us all the way out here. Seriously, you guys are the second story on the news and every news break.

We must be talking two different things. The shuttle I took from the airport to the DL Hotel and back was, I think, $14 each way - $28 total if you paid for both legs at once. It was maybe $17 if you bought a one-way. I was just there in November . . . but, it was a big bus - not a van. Picked us up at the hotel, and I was at John Wayne in about 25 minutes (it was VERY early in the morning though) I think I left the DL Hotel at 5:00 for the 6:45 flight on Frontier. Did not need a reservation either - just get in line at the curb and wait.

I love the idea of every family downloading the master design and entering our own names. I couldn't imagine someone trying to enter in all the names, exhausting to say the least.

I love this group!! I am so glad that we are not the only people on the planet with our Christmas stuff still up!! We are actually going to leave it up till Monday as we have friends coming over for "Christmas" dinner. We usually do it between Christmas and New Years, but with my being so sick this year, we kept putting it off. This Monday is a holiday so we will do it then and we will take Christmas down the rest of the week. Thanks for making me feel right at home!! Karen

I am compelled to tell you our story here... on 1/15 it was the 15th anniversary of losing my home, everything I own (down to my shoes, baby pictures and 6 cats) to a Christmas Tree fire. It (obviously) took me years to deal with it, but I met my husband because of it. On the second anniversary of the fire my friend insisted I go out with her and not sit home to think about it. She set me up with the man I ended up marrying. For years peopel asked me why my stuff was still up that late.... well, I was busy working on the show Full House, I had been sick, I need help getting it out, everything was off of it, but the power strip under the tree exploded and lit it up like a cannon. So, fast forward to this year. We've been really busy this year. I said DH Please make sure that Xmas tree is down and out of the house by the 15th, I can't have it up on the 15th (yes, us and all of our friends have really good artificial trees - much like many of you.) The night of the 14th DH leaves on a business trip and it is still up (apparently he didn't notice it standing in the corner of the room!) There I am on the 14th with DD4 taking it down and laying it on the floor. YESTERDAY HE BAGGED IT UP AND PUT IT IN THE GARAGE!!!!!! Next year, it comes down on Sunday January 4th (mark my words!!!!)

curiouser and curiouser, I'm going to call all the conciereges today and confirm any other ideas. This super shuttle price is different from what their web site told me. So, I'll make sure from the local guys and post.

Just out of curiosity . . . is anyone getting email notices of posting to threads anymore? I'm not. That is how I would get to the DIS and to our thread when I wanted to. I would click on the link to the thread and let it take me there.I have not been getting them for several days now. Since they put the new server up it has been off and on, but now mostly off.

I'm not getting them either, I wondered why I wasn't getting them anymore.

My Sweetie is taking me to DL tomorrow for my birthday. And to celebrate he wanted to wear something special...

When we first booked it and I send email to AuntyBrat about our details name, etc. And we never heard from her that was last May. She was on the disboards about her short story about Med Cruise. After that never heard from her. Last night we watch the film The Italian Job as no time for watch Pirates 3 yet. Scottishwee35

Yes, after her big trip report almost everyone on the same cruise posted reply's asking her what cruise she was on, because she had such a different experience than most of the other folks. I'm sure her feelings were hurt because she never posted on any threads again.



Here's a laugh for all of us old enough to remember: 2 nights ago DD4 and I watched the Parent Trap (Lindsey version.) Last night we watched the original Paretn Trap. At the end DD said, Mom lets watch the real one again with the red head girl.

Yes, that made me laugh as we are feeling like 26 outside this morning and that is up from whatever it was last night. We didn't get snow last night...all around us but not here in NC. The local news was about half on stories about what the DOT was doing to prepare the roads and how to drive in the snow and the rush at WM for bread, milk and eggs.

they positively identified the North POrt girls body She was 21 and left behind a husband and two boys, ages 2 and 6 months. The guy in custody is not talking at all.

I used to be in entertainment, worked on Full House for two years as a producer's asst. and several other shows, then I owned a comedy club in Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA. DH & I met because of the comedy club (on the anniversary of my fire) Now, I'm the director of drug education for about 50 high end private schools in CA. My husband and I started this lecture series 12 years ago combining science and humor to create drug education that was really fun & interesting instead of boring, dry, creepy "just say no" programs. Now, we teach parents, teachers, students as well as write and publish much of our work. Now all the celebs I used to work for are my parents at the schools. Most of the people you see on TV, news, politics and in the movies are our clients. We're Hollywood's little secret.

wow - that's great! I remember the Just Say No lecture we got in school along with the police showing us all the different types of drugs.....not sure everyone was even paying attention.

We watched an old, old Bob Hope movie last night. My Favorite Burnette We picked it up at the Dollar Store for a buck! It was cute, fun to watch that old stuff.
