I have ADD and even with medicine some days are hard. I have no energy and don't want to do anything unless I take my medicine then everything gets done and I pay attention in class. It is hard to deal with but you learn to cope. I just wish there was a better medication than I am on.

There are a few other posts I meant to reply to, I had clicked the multiquote button on a bunch, then accidentally closed internet explorer. Bummer. :(

Yeah, in this situtation it's purely a case of new CEO bringing in her own boy. Just a pisser, because you can spend all the time and energy you have doing good work and still get bounced. Funny thing is that Paul left corporate GC job because of this very thing. He was in house, and a new CEO came and rehired all around the place and layoff everyone in legal, but his new boy. That was way back in '01. Ya think you are over it and it just bites you again. Oh well.

I'm so sorry this happened to Paul. What a kick in the head. :grouphug:

Thanks for all the support and :grouphug: regarding my family situation. I have done some thinking and decided I can not change them and can't keep worrying and wondering how I can change things. There are some things we have control over and some we don't. I started school today so I got alot busier and can't keeo trying to fix everyone's life. They won't listen to me anyway. The thing that bothered me the most is I had not seen these people in years and they all said oh look its his daughter. No one like my dad but I still love him. my cousin and mom told me not to worry everyone knows I am not him and its his loss not mine.

 VERY smart point of view!

hi! my wife is making me say something - so "hello". I honestly don't know what to say on these things. So I look forward to meeting you all as I feel like I know you all like my own family because of my wife's non-stop reading and updating me.

Take care - I'm not sure if or when I'll write again.

paul

Glad you could join us Paul! Now we know Nan isn't making you up! You really do exist! :rotfl2: Don't worry about not knowing what to say....we have that covered! :lmao:

Oh.....by the way...I'd love to be a part of the Gingerbread sightings! :thumbsup2

I was just reading the first page and it is sad tha Laura(Aunty Brat) isn't posting any more. I know she doing well, back at work, and is coming on the cruise, but she must still feel bad enough not to want to post. She was so enthusiastic, and I think we have missed her updating the front page etc!!!

If you are reading this Laura, we so miss you.

Thanks Holly and Nan for your comments about my little one - he just makes me smile. I'm taking the four boys up to Tahoe this week-end with a girlfriend, no DH!:scared1: Should be interesting. I thought about leaving the youngest at home with my DH (who will be attending some sort of retreat) but figure it wouldn't be the same without his smiling face!:lovestruc

How sweet! Have a great time! At least you do have your friend with you to help out. :goodvibes

Good Morning V.....I think that Noel is handling brunches and dinners and I'm handling the teas. I didn't mean that I'm not doing them, I meant that I'm not handling them. Sorry! That was a bit confusing.

The no smoking is still very hard but we're on day 16 today. I think John is having an easier time then I am. He's at work all day and can't smoke there anyway. I'm at home and very used to being able to freely smoke. But the good news is, neither one of us has given in and cheated. So, we're on our way to recovery, no matter how hard it still is.....we're doing the right thing and will beat it.

How's Tebow? Is he growing fast?

CONGRATS on so many non-smoking days! We're all so proud of you and John! :grouphug:

Hi Holly.....you are a hard one to forget....ha ha ha! Sorry to hear about the migraines being back again. I hope you get your meds today and that it helps. Any update on the Blake news? How is Tyler doing? We miss you and can't wait until you're back online regularly starting tomorrow.

Yup, I got my preventative meds, so my migraines will stop. :cool1:

No updates on Blake. I've been too busy and stressed with Tyler's issues to even think about Blake. By the time I post this, I'm sure you will have read about Tyler's biting episode a couple days ago. His whole arm. It breaks my heart to see him so troubled.

Yup, I'll be back online at home tonight! My AT&T Internet equipment came via UPS this morning at work, so when I go home, hopefully my service will be turned on and ready for me to install. :woohoo:

Hey Holly, how are things going with Tyler? Has he been doing well in school? Overall how is K going, is he learning lots of new things?

 Thanks for asking, V! He's not learning what he should be because his issues are just getting in the way of his learning. He told the psychologist today that he just can't hear the teacher because of all the noise around him...he says it's hard for him to ignore the background sounds and listen to her.

Did you contact the dr about his biting episode? They may want to speed things up a bit. I would hate to think of Tyler having to suffer more while waiting for everything to happen. Does he do any of this stuff that his dad gets to witness? He really needs to put aside his feelings and issues and focus on Tyler and what he needs to help him.

Many thoughts and prayers out to you and Tyler both....!

I'm a little bummed.....I got on the scale and learned that I gained 5 lbs in the past week and I've been doing the exact same diet. I've even started doing some exercises. I should have lost more, but instead gained. I think it's the metabolism changes from not smoking anymore. It's ok though because I read where the metabolism will readjust after a while, so I just have to give it some more time and continue with the diet and exercises. Eventually, it will even out and I should start losing again. It's a little discouraging though because I was doing so well with the weight loss.

Deb, just hang in there. Keep doing what you've been doing all along and things will turn around for sure!

I did 3 miles on the bike last night....while watching the Biggest Loser. Great motivator! Weighed myself this am...down 3 more lbs...so 6 1/2 total...boy I have a WAY to go!!! But atleast I have 16 more weeks to keep trying.

Way to go on the 3 miles! :yay:

As we move closer hopefully she will start posting again. I have a feeling a lot of lurkers and newcomers will be joining in as well!

I'm not surprised you have migraines at the moment Holly with all that you are dealing with. You need a massage or something just for you to help you relax.

I'm glad Tyler is opening up to the Psychologist - that is a good sign in itself and will help. Isn't it hard to understand what goes on in his little head. He seems to be doing well explaining it.

Lots of love and prayers.

Anyone doing this? I worked on this boat in the 80's out of San Pedro for 8 years. I thought the kids would get a kick out of seeing the Buccaneer Queen. My only concern is that it leaves @ 8:30 and we get in @ 8:00. Do you think it is do able?
Thanks

we considered just going to the beach and Los Arcos on Cabo, the only pirate one I had seen was in PV.

Just thought I would introduce my DH's and my traveling buddies. Chewy Too has been traveling with us for several years now and Sadie joined the family last year. We use them as photo ops and then I come home and write books for my grandchildren about their travels. Those that have traveled with us before I am sure remember the couple carrying around the two Build-A-Bears :lmao: .

They also have their own web site at:

They are really excited about going on this trip and intend to blog about it for their friends back home. They are, also, very excited to meet Bobby Banana.

Carol:

that 2nd cat looks alot like our retired girl scout mascot Daisy Brown Lowe. I'll gt some pictures from my desk and post. I may have uncovered a mystery of where she went when she retired from our troop....hmmmmm. When did she join your crew, oops I mean family???:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Thanks Karen  - I learned very early to "act" like everything was ok. While I love my father dearly we had many issues in our relationship, and wouldn't have understood anything. I learned to mask my feelings, and started self medicating myself w/ alcohol very early in life....made things bearable as I was numb alot. I learned also (later in life) that it's ok to feel what I feel when I feel it, and that I'm able to tell (luckily) when my life feels like it's spiraling out of control.

Having friends like I have here also makes it easy to be upbeat :lovestruc

I, too, learned very early to mask my feeling but in my case it was my mother who just believed it was emotional and I should be able to turn it on and off. I don't remember having panic attacks when I was younger but I do remember being sad a lot. Unfortunately, when I was seeing therapists before now it was some 30 years ago or so and depression wasn't being thought of as an illness that could be helped with meds. I would get to a place where I could cope and then would go on about my life. It nice to know that there is something that can get me on track and stay there.

By the way, thank you everyone for the support. I guess I never realized how many people this affects. It really does help to know you aren't alone or crazy.

they need some Gator tees!

Are you kidding after they beat us so bad? :lmao:  :lmao:

Nan,

Unless she had a sex change Chewy Too would have to be her brother. But, who knows? After all he was adopted. :rotfl: :lmao:  :rotfl:

Last weekend, Mrs. Woody NEEDED to get a compact photo printer for this cruise. The printer is tiny -- smaller than a stack of five DVD cases -- and prints high quality 4x6 prints. Amazing.

OOOOOoooooooh! I want one!

Hope everything is ok w/ Cameron. Glad to see you're on board w/ us.

DITTO!

Son is okay, just can't do karate, no running, jumping, etc. for the next week. Deb did explain fish extenders, didn't know the fish was a mail box. I will let my wife pursue this.

Glad to hear he'll be OK fairly quickly. :thumbsup2

Hey all...

been off a few days... been a bit under the weather...

Did lose 7 1/2 lbs... but it was food poisoning

What a way to make my months goal... :sad2:

Oh no! I hope you're feeling better! That happened to me once. I'll never forget it! It was 17 years ago from a Big Mac. I've never been able to eat one again.

And you can have 4 checked bags and 2 carry-ons!

Yes, but I'm not sure I can manage 4 bags & 2 carryons myself because Tyler's not much help yet. :rotfl: He pulls his own suitcase behind him, but that's about all he can handle. Oh well....we'll make it work...we always do!

Just pay the $25 over-weight fee and then you don't have to find somewhere to ship from.

Very good point!

so I had my little frozen dinner for lunch. I am not going to eat out lunch anymore. One of my co-workers added up her lunches since 1-1 and it was $240! She's doing a two week Hawaiian cruise in April so that could have been an excursion.
