I went to lunch with a co-worker and were discussing her two week cruise to Alaska...she said she only took $500 cash with her. I am guessing we'd need cash for:
excursion food/drinks/tips/cabs, etc
tips at the port

DL will take cc....
what else would we need cash for?

gydell, you probably answered this and I didn't see it...but what beach would you recommend in Acapulco and can we take a cab there?

We got hooked on Harry Potter when DD was in 2nd grade.

She told her teacher that we read it together and that I do all of the voices, so... her teacher asked me to read the first book to the class with ALL of the voices and it was a lot of fun! I came by 3 times a week and the kids really got into it. I heard from several of the parents that their kids continued with the other books because they were so interested in continuing the story!!

I don't know any beaches in Aca. We usually stay at our resort. Yes you tip the cab drivers. You want to have lots of $1 bills since if you get change it's in pesos. Mexico does not take any coins from the USA.

It's the car journeys I remember!! 3 children in the back who couldn't touch each other accidentally or else world war 3 broke out!! What fun!!!!!

Yes the ship's time is the same. Aca and PV are on central time.

Also for those of you doing PV on your own, if you go to Neuvo Vallarta which is where the sea park is and the beach excursion is then be sure and check the time. NV is on hour earlier than PV. Some of the resorts and places in NV keep their time on central time as not to confuse people. Be sure and check so you don't miss the boat!

I believe that was an upgrade on an upcoming cruise not one of the repos.

As far as I know, all the GTY people on our cruise are still hanging out in the lifeboat waiting

I think the life boat next to ours is empty. I would invite you to share ours but we already have about 10 women. The men have their own.

Do any of you guys know who the "Hearty Boys" are from the Food Network? They are doing a cooking class tomorrow night at our cooking school (at one of our stores) and I am trying to drum up attendees - $75 a pop. We have not had a great response.

I roped Amy into going - sounds like fun, but most of our classes are only $35 which is probably why this one is having trouble.

that sounds high for a cooking class, $35 ok $75 nope too close to the magic # of $100 for me.
