you know, I got sucked in to John and Kate plus 8 the other night and they went to the beach....I didn't catch where, but it almost looked like Siesta Key...but the kids were miserable, they hated it. Granted the sand was flying and when that pelts you it's no fun but even the walk from the parking lot was torture!

We got hooked on Harry Potter when DD was in 2nd grade.

She told her teacher that we read it together and that I do all of the voices, so... her teacher asked me to read the first book to the class with ALL of the voices and it was a lot of fun! I came by 3 times a week and the kids really got into it. I heard from several of the parents that their kids continued with the other books because they were so interested in continuing the story!!

Karen

Now that is just too cool! You should be very proud of yourself for setting those youngsters on the path to PLEASURE reading! :thumbsup2

American Idol starts tonight! Anyone else watching?

I like the auditions the best but watch the whole season.

If you were going to only going to get off at 1 port in Mexico which would you get off at and which would you stay on board?

our availabe funds for excursions and the spa etc is going to be tight and would like to do 1 excursion in Mexico which would be a guided bus tour of some sort. Which would you visit more over the other?

I love to watch XFactor in UK, American Idol will show in UK later. I think same man Simon Cowell.
I love it!!

You said only going to get off at 1 port in Mexico? Why not go for a walk around 3 port? and go to beach something like that and it wont cost you ? I dont know what 3 port will charge you for a walk around beach? Because different law from my home.

Just a thought.

I fancy go to Aruba for shopping also fancy jeep with beach too:rolleyes:

Wonder who will be the first one of us in the lifeboat to get a room allocation.

Unless they do a bit of reorganizing shortly after final payment....I bet we don't get rooms till 30 days out at the soonest.

Leaving work in a few minutes. Will catch up some more tomorrow! :goodvibes

it seems so odd to me that many of us have rooms yet there are still many that don't!! Here's hoping for an upgrade for you.

I would pick either PV or Aca. What type of things do you like to see?

My mother and now I both have mobility issues so the adventure excursions like zip lines and the like are out for us. But when we cruised in 2006 doing the Eastern we did motorcoach tours and that worked out great for us.

The couple we are traveling with have been to PV so we are thinking of maybe getting a taxi there and having them show us around.

So Acapulco may be a good choice for us to maybe do a city tour or a trip up to see the cliff divers.

My childrens want go to pirate ship in PV. So we will go with them for a fun. As we don't have these at UK. So we don't know what is the best way to book it with DLC or do it on our own on internet?

Lillygator

Have you book it?

Also

I fear you may be correct. Funny isn't it as our rooms are so important to us yet they don't seem to realise this!:sad2:

I don't think there will be any upgrades this cruise.

have not booked the Pirate excursion, if we do, it won't be through DCL. I am looking into renting a jeep that day and touring PV though as well.

Though Knight Rider, the movie, has remained stuck in neutral for the better part of the naughties, Knight Rider, the TV show, is revving into high gear.
NBC is bringing back the action show about a man and his motor, testing the waters on a full-fledged series revival with a two-hour TV movie/pilot, which the network will air later this season.
According to Variety, if the telepic is a success—or at the very least, not a complete ratings bomb—the Doug Liman-produced series will go into production for a 2008-09 debut.
NBC Entertainment chief Ben Silverman's idea to revisit the indestructible supercar series was, per the trade, inspired in part by the recent success of Transformers, which may also influence the revived franchise in terms of introducing potentially "evil" cars to do battle against K.I.T.T. complete with cool special effects rather than the camp of its David Hasselhoff-powered '80s forebear.
Liman may work double-duty to also direct the so-called "backdoor pilot." Raines' Dave Andron has already been tapped to write the inaugural episode.

The premise of the show will essentially remain the same as the original, which centered on a mulleted man righting wrongs with the help of a particularly chatty and souped-up automobile.
Knight Rider chronicled the efforts of Michael Knight, an undercover cop shot in the line of duty and left for dead. After getting a new face and identity, he becomes the lead agent for a dying billionaire's secret Foundation for Law and Government, where he's partnered with the yappy Trans Am, K.I.T.T.
Hasselhoff originated the role during the show's 1982-86 go-round on NBC. No word yet on who will play the hero this time around, but the Peacock is looking for some new blood.

Should the Hoff remain uninvolved in the project, it'll be the second such snub in the past year: The brothers Weinstein snapped up the film rights to Knight Rider in 2006 and Hasselhoff's name has never once been attached, even in cameo form, to the project.
The last time Hasselhoff reprised his role as the crimefighter was back in 1991 for the TV movie Knight Rider 2000. Of course, the Hoff has a full plate for the next year, with his judging gig in NBC's America's Got Talent and a potential lead role in the Ryan Seacrest-produced scripted series Tales from the Hoff, which is in development at E!
And as Variety notes, the new Knight Rider has built-in product placement written all over it, with carmakers likely battling to supply the new lead vehicle.

here you go....

...and since that was written

David Hasselhoff is in talks to reprise his role as Michael Knight in a TV movie sequel to his breakout 1980s hit series, Knight Rider, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

NBC is hoping the TV movie will reboot the franchise and launch a new series. This time out, however, Hasselhoff will cede the KITT-driving to Justin Bruening, who will play Michael Knight's son.

Per the Reporter, the so-called "backdoor pilot" will find Junior holed up in Vegas, where he's in big trouble for unpaid gambling debts and is bitter about his unrequited love for childhood best friend Sarah Kamen.

His luck changes, however, when Sarah (The Young & the Restless actress Deanna Russo), turns up and offers him a way out of his mess.

Little does the younger Knight know that Sarah is the daughter of KITT inventor Charles Kamen, who has gone missing. It's up to Knight to rescue him.

No word yet exactly how big a part the Hoff will have this time around or whether he'll be a regular should a new series get greenlighted.

Producers are also tight-lipped about what kind of vehicle the new KITT will be. The original talking Trans Am was known as Knight Industries Two Thousand. For the new version, the car will be updated to the Knight Industries Three Thousand. Early reports suggested the vehicle would have Transformers-like abilities and indicated producers were still seeking an auto manufacture to partner with.

The Knight Rider telepic is being produced by filmmaker Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity), who may direct the pilot if he can squeeze it into his schedule.

Hasselhoff's last ride with KITT was in the 1991 telepic Knight Rider 2000, and over the years he's made no secret about his desire to rev up a big-screen version. But with the feature film Knight Rider stalled in development, NBC decided to proceed with a new TV incarnaiton.

Meanwhile, Hasselhoff is currently gearing up to star in Tales from the Hoff, a Ryan Seacrest-produced scripted series for E! that will follow his fictionalized escapades, à la Curb Your Enthusiasm. (E! Online is a division of E! Networks.) He's also got a steady gig as a judge on the Peacock's hit reality contest America's Got Talent.

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: I'm pretty sure that is against the official cruising rules... not as much as watching it onboard though!

When we were on board in Dec we sailed thru the freak Dec tropical storm that became a hurricane. Dennis and DSIL went to the movies and watched Pirates 3 while we were churning thru 30 foot waves. They said it was very, very cool to watch the storm in the movie while tossing about.

In case anybody still needs tickets AIRTRAN started another sale today into MCO!

I emailed my dad today and mentioned how excited I was, he replied back with. gosh that is light years away!! I am thinking, hey, that is what I thought last 1/31!!!!!

I have mobility issues also, so I know what you are talking about. I just wish I had started cruising before this disease got so bad. I push myself to the limit though. In my younger days I would have loved that zip line. :thumbsup2 It sure does look like a lot of fun.

So for those of you, who are putting it off and are able to do this excursion, do it, you never know what tomorrow holds. Did any of you see Paula Dean do the zip line on her vacation show? Was it St. Lucia? She was so funny.
