anyone got exciting plans for the weekend? Nothing here...the usual - cleaning. Seems our 80 degree weather will be getting a bit cooler. The girls - and John all went in the pool last night, while I sat poolside finishing the Pact. Not sure if we'll be able to do that tonight!

We plan on a birthday trip to DL tomorrow.:woohoo: :woohoo:

OK THEN if there are no objections, let's do it on the secret deck on 7 at 2:30 pm - right after lunch - on our first sea day - Monday May 12th.

We need to do it after our day at CC so we can all get some color in our faces, we don't want to look like winter yuck!

If this is not a good idea for any reason, please speak up now......or forever.....you know how it goes.

If it's good for everyone, we'll put it in the mini navigator that seaulater is doing and everyone gets one....also the master dis list is going to be in the mini navigator.....so everyone will be well equipped and well informed.

V....no excuses now......I heard how you missed a DIS photo in the past.....we want to see your family's smiling faces in our picture......so you have to be there!

YEA, I'm getting excited......making all the final plans to get this boat out of the harbor and into the canal........with all of you!

Ok so please fill me in here. Would I just come or do I drag the kiddos with me too? I have never done this so forgive me being clueless!

Ok, huge sibling rivarly thing going on...my eldest went to the Sharks game and insisting on getting his photo taken to try to get fan of the game. As some might remember, my other son, Jack, got his photo and won fan of the month in November. Anyway, my oldest son was selected for fan of the game in December!! Arg, so now I have to vote for him of course, but if he wins fan of the month, he would then be competing against his brother for fan of the year!!! What a mess...anyway, here is the link if anyone is interested in checking it out and supporting such an OPEN display of sibling rivalry...rather embarressing I say!! He is Owen - they have him from Mountain View because that is where I work. Voting ends tomorrow. http://sharks.nhl.com/team/app/?service=page&page=NewsPage&articleid=349073

I forgot to tell you that we voted for Owen. Congrats on both the boys being chosen so far. That is great! Good Luck!

Hello Hollytyler

Glad to hear that you find out about Tyler's problem.

I still :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: about stepmum.:rolleyes1

Scottishwee35
Oh, I keep forgetting to mention the part about his stepmom. SO BUSY here at work today, things slip my mind easily. Well, it turns out she wasn't able to come because she couldn't get anybody to cover for her at work 2 days in a row. When we went into the doctor's office, Tyler's dad told the doc this, and she said, "Well, I was only meeting with the two of you anyway. Just the parents for the first visit". He looked a bit surprised! :lmao: Then the 2nd visit is just the TWO parents and Tyler, and then on the 3rd visit she wants the stepmom to join in because that's the day she says we'll "strategize".

I think Samantha's tooth will be coming out this weekend....it is hanging! I guess I need to get some cash or DD's ready.
Good to have that treat on hand, but Tyler's hung by "a thread" for a week until it finally fell out when he opened his mouth to call a friend's name at daycare! :rotfl:

Oh sure rub in the 80 degree weather! :) I am just hoping it stays dry all weekend and doesn't rain anymore for a while like they say. The rainy days make me want to stay home and not do anything so I am going to take advantage of this weekend. We may go to the movies one day and do a little shopping the next.

We need some prayers:

My greatgrandmother died today at the age of 93. My grandmother (the one who was sick) is doing ok but they think it will get alot worse when she is at the funeral. We knew it was coming but it will still be hard on her.

Your family is in our prayers.

hope it all continues to go smoothly Holly.
Thanks! :goodvibes I really think it will because at the appointment, his dad said he wants to do whatever we can to get him headed towards treatment right away. When it came time to schedule the next appoinment and they were asking what works for both of our schedules, he said, "Whatever's the soonest you can get us in". :thumbsup2 I'm SHOCKED at his complete change in attitude. He went from insisting that Tyler just needs to learn how to behave, to now wanting immediate treatment. What a relief! And a HUGE weight off my shoulders.

Oh, I'm sure I mentioned this before, but it's still worth another good laugh: On my last cruise (the only one I took without Tyler) in January '07, I did just that. Later that evening, after dinner I returned to our room to find ALL my underwear from the garbage can in a pile on my bed! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: Apparently the room steward thought I made a mistake or something!

Oh my goodness I would have been dying of laughter! That is too funny! I can only imagine what the room steward thought. :rotfl2:

oh my! I just wanted to yank it out...it looks so pitiful hanging there.

You're totally forgiven.....we'll just have to remind you on the morning of or something......we'll come and find you at lunch and say, V....don't forget pictures today! Ha Ha Ha!

I think it's hard to do on the first day because there's so many things going on......it gets crazy. I would rather do it on a sea day when everyone is relaxed and mellow.....no pressure.

......but that's just my opinion......what does everyone else want to do?
I agree. Especially since I know Tyler's always REALLY grumpy that first day because it's travel day for us and we're both tired. And our flight doesn't even get into MCO until 1pm usually because of having to transfer in Detroit. Much easier to do it on a sea day. :goodvibes

:rotfl: That is funny!! But me personally, I gotta have new skivvies on vacation -makes it more, vacationy I guess.
Oh, I'm sure I'd be the same way, if I ever had a chance to travel with somebody who'd enjoy my new skivvies! :lmao:

ADHD and Dyslexia are my specialties in my field of drug education. Most parents like Concerta the best, but the behavioral modifications and consistency will be the best long term results that you will see. I'd be happy to give you a list of excellent tips (mostly about organization that make gigantic differences in the ADHD person's life.)
I'd be very grateful for that list of tips, as would Tyler's dad & stepmom. :goodvibes Thanks so much for offering!

it is gorgeous out right now...a bit breezy and sunny. Much too nice to be stuffed in an office.

Oh well...how many more days?

Have a great weekend everyone! We are getting ready to head out skiing for the weekend. I'd rather be sitting on a beach somewhere but sitting in the lodge on Saturday watching the game will certainly be a lot of fun! GO HAWKS!!!!!!!! (and Go Giants!!!!!)
HAVE A GREAT TIME!

I agree doing the picture on a sea day when everyone is less rushed is a good idea. Also more people will likely show up. I know I will be running around all hectic the first day trying to create magic in the rooms and get everything settled in.

Lowery Park Zoo is running a special for $5 on Sunday = family day....I haven't been there in years but maybe can round up the troops and head out.

Oh my goodness I would have been dying of laughter! That is too funny! I can only imagine what the room steward thought. :rotfl2:
I cracked up laughing, big time! I kept wondering what was running through his head! :rotfl:
