Ok, so I don't feel all alone and left out now.:rotfl2: I thought it was strange, but maybe she got one because it is her first DCL cruise. Who knows. :confused3

We received a post card with our cruise confirmation. It came a couple of weeks ago. Sorry.:sad2:

That does sound exciting Angie. Where are you planning on visiting with the motorhome?

We plan to spend lots of time touring the US after we retire. 13 months!!!:yay: :yay: We have made lots of friends on the DIS that we plan to visit. John1 in Ohio, Vanessa in FL, PJ up in Canada and lots of friends and relatives in between. We have friends or relatives in almost all the states. Well at least 40 states. This is our dream and we are just so excited to see it coming true. We brought the MH home today and I made dinner out there. :lmao: Silly kids with a new toy!

I just noticed that you live in Bonney Lake, WA. We use to live in the South Hill area of Puyallup. :) Near Fred Meyers... oh how I miss Fred Meyers. :sad1: I could find everything I needed in one store. Plus, the free childcare while I shopped. ;) Let me tell you...I did lots of "shopping" when my kids were little.

Our DGS is working for Fred Meyer. He is a junior in HS and this is his first job. He is liking the paycheck and the employee discount. He thinks he has hit the big time! :lmao: :lmao:

Congratulations on the motorhome. My DH and I have been talking about getting one for a couple of years now for when he retires. We bought into DVC, though, last September so now the quandry is a motorhome or more DVC.:confused3
Carol

We can stay in our motorhome at Fort Wilderness for as little as 6 points a night! :yay: Best of both worlds! ;)

The next six fish extenders are going out priority mail tomorrow. Linda (seaulater), Nanette (nskjerven), Lisa (lakadaisy), Corrine (Mom323) and Virgina (ulittletinker), your extenders should be arriving soon. I know there are only 5 names, ulittletinker ordered two. Hope you enjoy!

Carol and Doug

am I in the next batch? <-----now you have to read that using the voice of the squirrel from "Over the Hedge" when he says "I like the cookie".

Hmmm, if we do end up leaving on the red eye on the 9th...we should consider a DIS van rental to get us all to the port! Start the party early:rotfl: None of us will be awake :upsidedow since red eyes are so miserable to sleep on, but we could always share the misery of traveling through the night!
FYI a group of us DISers went together and rented a Hummerzine. Held 20 people. It wound up only costing us each around 30 dollars including tip and a separate vehicle to haul all the luggage. It was very fun!

I am game if someone wants to organize!!

I'm inserting myself very late into this thread, I know...but I've been reading the thread for a long time now and I'm wondering a vew things.

First, you sound like a fun group of people. Do you all know each other from previous cruises?

How can a newbie join the group? We're on the West Repro cruise in May08, our second Disney Cruise, and we're very interested in meeting other couples. I am 51 and DH is 48. We are also traveling with my parents, dad 78 and mom 72.

And finally, what is a fish extender?

Thanks
Tina

A few of us know each other from previous cruises, but the majority of us have not met yet. Just getting to know each other over the next 436 days. As far as joining in....I think you just did and WELCOME.

Guess I can't PM or email anyone until I post two more times.

AuntyBrat here's my role call info.

Thanks AuntyBrat for the welcome. Here's our info for the roll call.

Tlb2864 - Issaquah, Washington
Tina 52 at time of cruise
Chuck DH 48 at time of cruise
Bill 79 (Tina's dad) at time of cruise
Betty 73 (Tina's mom) at time of cruise
2 X Cat 9 and Deck 2
Late Dining
Will be celebrating Bill and Betty's 55th wedding anniversay on 5/31 and Chuck's 49th Birthday on 5/27. Too bad we couldn't be on the ship at least one of those days.

Thanks
Tina

Tina, great to have another Northwesterner aboard. We will have to plan a NW mini-meet sometime in the next year.

My dad used to live in Issaquah. Small world

ok, on the postcards.

Both me and mom got postcards for our 2007 cruise, me first and then about two weeks after i added DM to the ressie she got one as well, lol. I live with her (youngest kid, taking care of mom.)

John, did our cabin get a postcard for 2008? It is so weird not getting stuff from DCL, lol.

First, you sound like a fun group of people. Do you all know each other from previous cruises?

I know clynne and her DH Surley and txaggie and Woody73 from our cruise last November. I know Katypop from a DIS meet at POFQ..three years ago! I know TiggersPal (cause she's my SISTER) and now I know NotSoLittleMermaid because we just met TONIGHT!

Had a great time whith Cheri! The poor waitress thought we'd never get around to ordering dinner, the three of us barely stopped for breath, let alone to look at the menu! :lmao:

Well, I'm caught up on 7 or 8 pages and need to hit the hay. Have my 3 month appt. with the ONC/GYN tomorrow morning. After this one it will be every 6 months :cool1:

If you are trying to locate someone from the Ship of Thieves (like Calmom or Pahrumpgirl), I've used the following trick: On the main page for cruise meets, you can click on the replies column for the Ship of Thieves thread. That will list everyone who has ever posted on this thread. It isn't in alphabetical order, but rather by post count. But you can pretty quickly scan the list to find who you are looking for. That's what I do anyway. But as a word of warning, I am most definitely not technically savvy. So there may be an easier way.

Great way to find someone from the thread for PMing!

United goes direct from SFO. We have flown on the afternoon flight 292 which leaves at 1:05PM and arrives at MCO at 9:21PM.

Of course this may all change by 2008 but this is current as of 2007. Hope this helps.

I have found tha flights are cheaper from SFO than SJC when you cross the country. We just take a limo both ways and still it is cheaper than leaving the car if we gone for more than a week.

Noel

Thanks, I can't believe I spaced as this is the exact flight we took on our other WDW cruise vacation. We first spent a week at WDW, so I think I've disconnected the flight to the cruise completely.

Can you tell me a little more about the Hyatt?

I wish we had an extra day to enjoy WDW but not this time. Next time.

Hyatt MCO is right inside the main terminal at the airport. Great for getting off the plane and rolling right into the hotel. Rooms were quite, very nice and beds were comfortable. We didn't use the outdoor pool.

We use Hyatt both ways if we are going to arrive the day before and leave the day after the cruise. The bellman rolled the bags right to the counter and we went right through security as we have FlyClear.

Hotel website as follows:

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Noel

You are all wonderful and have made me feel very welcome. :goodvibes
I only have one question left....

Does anyone know where I can get a fish extender and who do I contact to get on the fish mail? The first page of this thread said CalMom but I haven't been able to find her.

I'll keep up on this thread now....I don't want to miss any of the fun!

Tina

I'm Calmom! I've been busy with some stuff going on, but am trying to catch up. I will PM people back this week-end - I have made sure I have lots of room in my mailbox!

Thanks Noel for the school link. I think under 4th grade, the school can set any 21-day period. Hopefully, they will continue to pick the first week in May. We will plan on taking that 1pm United flight if it is available, and have them leave early on that Friday. So my HOPE is that they can get through all the testing and the fly away! Lisa

I think doing something like that sounds great:thumbsup2 I was hoping to get a limo as a surprise for the girls anyway. So, once we all start making our plane reservations, we can see if any of us have similar arrival times and can try and organize a big limo of sorts.:surfweb: I would be willing to try and organize this. I figure most of us will book plane tickets this summer, so that should give me plenty of time :yay: I'll try and remember to bring up this idea again when we book our tickets.

Ok, so I am sitting here on the 12th night without DH since he is away on business :sad2: and thought I would just skim the net for limos :surfweb:just to get an idea (side note...my house tends to be very clean by the time he finally gets home. I have this thing where i cannot sleep when he is not at home so I find anything to keep me awake. You know clean out the pantry/rearrange the linen closet:scared: ) searching things for the cruise has turned out to be much more fun this time. I found one place that rents the Hummerzine, $300.00 (plus tip and extra luggage vehicle-emailed them for more details about total cost) for one way to the port. It holds 20 people (so that could be 4-7 families depending on how many kids etc). Sounds like it could be really reasonable to me. I will bring up this again when I get my tickets.

Well, I will stop talking to myself now and go clean that linen closet  have a good night everyone or good morning, depending on where you live.
