Good morning Holly.

Hope Tyler isn't too poorly today for you. All the best At WW tonight.
Thank you! Well, after 3 doses of strong antibiotic, 1 dose of Tylenol for fever, he woke up this morning feeling like his normal, crazy, 4yr old self. Says his throat hurts a little, but is acting completely normal, but doc says he'll be contagious until being on antibiotic for 24 hours, so no daycare/preschool today. He's thrilled about having an extra day with me. Work isn't really happy with me because we're always short-handed, but that's not my problem. ;)

After WW tonight, I actually plan on going to the gym too! Not sure if I'll be that ambitious, but we'll see. Maybe WW will inspire me so much, I'll be thrilled to go work out. Ummm.....wait a minute....."thrilled" and "work out" do not belong in the same sentence! :rotfl2:

ok, on the postcards.

Both me and mom got postcards for our 2007 cruise, me first and then about two weeks after i added DM to the ressie she got one as well, lol. I live with her (youngest kid, taking care of mom.)

John, did our cabin get a postcard for 2008? It is so weird not getting stuff from DCL, lol.

Nothing, Nada, Zilch, Zero, the empty set!

Hope Tyler feels better. There is so much going around right now. I have heard of so much strep!!!

If you set you mind on losing weight, you can do it......It really is a mind set. You have to really really want to lose. I was pregnant at 40 (10 years ago). After Gretchen was born, I was like "I can eat anything I want...I am nursing!!" Well, that worked for my first 2 children, but my system changed after 40 and I found out when I quit nursing I weighed 190 pounds :scared1: :scared1:

It took me a year ,but I got back to 150 pounds (I am 5' 8" tall and 150 is a great weight for me). Over ten years I have put on 20 pounds.....and this year I decided to lose it. Since Jan I have lost 10 pounds.....10 more to go.

I think the only thing that has helped me is the I REALLY REALLY want to lose the weight.

I wish you the best of luck!!!
Thanks! I'm only 5' 4" and was happy when I weighed 130 before I got pregnant and am 205 now. I REALLY want to get close to that again, but would be happy with 140 or 150 just to feel healthier. I don't have any health problems yet because of my weight (except bad knees from carrying all the excess weight), but know I'm pushing my luck healthwise. How active I am probably helps--keeping up with Tyler and all the activities he wants/needs to do. But I desperately want to lose all the weight so I can continue to keep up with him as he gets older and involved in more activities.

I know, once again, I should be posting this on the Lose Before U Cruise thread, but know I would never be able to keep up on 2 boards! Sorry!

Auntybrat--Funny!!!!!!! I love your updates!!!

HollyTyler--I started WW last week and lost 4 pounds at the first weigh-in. I have more weight to lose than you but I am shooting for 1 or 2 pounds per week. At least for the first few months. We can both be trim and slim by the time of the cruise. I think that would be a great bonus! Count on me for support!

Did anyone else receive a postcard from Disney about the cruise? I got our preliminary cruise info, but no postcard from Mickey welcoming us. One of dd's classmates is going on the cruise and her mom mentioned that they got a postcard in the mail. I am feeling very unloved by DCL if I am the only one who didn't get one :sad1:

I haven´t got anything at all, and we paid the deposit the day after we booked, but then again, snail mail in Mexico is truyl s...n...a...i...l last time a letter took an entire week to make it from the local post office to our house :confused3

As much as I hate snow and winter, sometimes it does make things very pretty. I like how this morning's misty sleet makes everything look "impressionist". And the snow looks very pretty on the trees. And the lake looks great now that all the ice houses are gone. (Yesterday was the last day to have ice houses on the lakes here.)

We got 2 inches of snow last night and are getting another foot of snow tonight. We got a foot of snow last weekend too. Oh well... spring is coming.... eventually.

Well, it's actually today (3/1) that I planned on going after work to sign up. Not going to work today because Tyler has strep throat, but I'll be going after he goes to his dad's house when his dad gets out of work. I'm anxious to hear what they can tell me and hoping they will inspire me and make me feel encouraged! :thumbsup2

Duh! I am sorry, I never noticed the date.

Well then, good luck today :thumbsup2 and I hope Tyler feels better soon, poor boy :sad1:

LOL, I agree with you, thrilled and work out definetly don´t go together.

Goodmorning all. I have finally caught up from last night. We are not late nighters and between the west coast and UK I end up with a lot to catch up on in the morning.:rotfl:

am I in the next batch? <-----now you have to read that using the voice of the squirrel from "Over the Hedge" when he says "I like the cookie".

Yes, Jackie, you are in the next batch. I am sorry but I have had a really hard time getting motivated this week but hopefully will have the next six ready to go out on Saturday. That should get me pretty well caught up with those I have addresses for. My shipping department (DH :rotfl: ) is going out of town next week from Sunday to Friday so hope to be able to get ahead in the sewing department and he can be behind in the shipping for a change.:lmao: :lmao:

East Coast waking up!!!

I did not get a Post Card, but I got something better. I got a big package and it had in it 3 Don Ducky Williams Lithographs. They each include the MAGIC in the backround. A "Hole" Lot of Trouble; Dashing, Splashing Pals; and Building "Sanerella's Castle". I was very surprised. I am going to get them framed this weekend!!

How in the world did you rate these? We went through a TA so if we get anything it usually goes to her first.

Beautiful! Now that I am retired I like that look too. We just don't get it very often. Today we are getting thunderstorms and lightening but they are predicting snow for later on. Life in the middle of the state of Ohio.

MrsMork, now you will have two people to visit in Ohio. We live just about an hour to an hour and half from John1. Fort Wilderness for the winter on DVC points. What a great way to get out of the snow.:rotfl2: :rotfl:

We´ll be there from april 28th to may 5th, and will be staying at POFQ, what are your dates?

Looks like I will just miss you and UKAngel. We arrive in Orlando on May 4th, but not to the world until May 6th (you know those weekends are so much higher in points and the first day is spent grocery shopping anyway). We will be at OKW from 5/6-5/16 and then VWL 5/16-18.

Ok, so I am sitting here on the 12th night without DH since he is away on business :sad2: and thought I would just skim the net for limos :surfweb:just to get an idea (side note...my house tends to be very clean by the time he finally gets home. I have this thing where i cannot sleep when he is not at home so I find anything to keep me awake. You know clean out the pantry/rearrange the linen closet:scared: ) searching things for the cruise has turned out to be much more fun this time. I found one place that rents the Hummerzine, $300.00 (plus tip and extra luggage vehicle-emailed them for more details about total cost) for one way to the port. It holds 20 people (so that could be 4-7 families depending on how many kids etc). Sounds like it could be really reasonable to me. I will bring up this again when I get my tickets.

If we stay at the Hyatt MCO the night before, I think it would be great fun to be "Hummerized" to the port.

I am a native Californian (born in Pasadena), I only "visit" snow!!

Kids have amazing recuperative powers, don't they? Glad Tyler is feeling better!

Auntybrat--Funny!!!!!!! I love your updates!!!!

You have the gift of making all of our updates more interesting than our posts!

I am determined to get busy and get on WW today!! Count me in and I will join the other thread!!

That is too bad!

We are still thinking about where we will stay the night before the cruise, but if we do stay at the Hyatt MCO, I think we would love to be hummerized with the rest.

I suppose the hummerizers will pick up bright and early at the hotel, right? Would love to be at the port early.

I love the picture. It just makes you want to curl up on the sofa with your hot coco and a good book, with a nice toasty fire in the fireplace. Okay it might have to be the laptop checking the DIS instead of a book!;)

A few days ago I went there and almost snatched 33000 or 34000, can´t remember well which, I was one post short, but I feel they were bothered in not a nice way by it. Maybe it is the language barrier what makes me feel like it, I thougth it was all in fun, even when someone from their thread tried to pirate post 5000 (I think from us).

And I am sorry with my fellow cruisers because after my post, lbgraves said she would be telling all the rest when we approached any post milestone so they can all come and pirate us, so I guess that if they really haunt our thread it will be my fault, though how can all of them keep up with their thread and haunt ours is beyond me :confused3 , come one, there are people there with more than 3000 posts just in that thread!!!!

....I hope Tyler feels better soon, poor boy :sad1:

Here's the little sickie....sorry if I posted this already! I posted it on another thread for the cruise he's joining me on, so I'm assuming I didn't put it on here since he won't be coming. :upsidedow

Thank you everyone for the pixie dust and thoughts. My grandfather passed away this afternoon and is finally not suffering any longer.

I appreciate everyones thoughts and prayers and whatnot they helped me get through all this.

Sorry to hear about your grandfather. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family
