:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I think my brain isn't awake yet...when I read this, I was picturing somebody from the other repo thread saying, "Come on over to the dark side" in a creepy voice! Probably because a few posts above was the one showing how they were slightly reprimanded. :rotfl:

This is exactly what I was thinking, that is why I said I don't understand. You really made me laugh when I read this!!:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

Just to let you know that my wife UKANGEL hasn't forgotten you all, she is rather unwell, I had to take her to hospital yesterday. She is back at home and I am sure she will get back on here as soon as she can.

She has had a rough time lately. Our prayers go out to her!

Hi everyone, just got caught up. School had a holiday yesterday so I took the boys to Legoland in Carlsbad. It was so much fun and the weather was perfect....75 degrees! I hate to say this because I know many of you have freezing temps but they have a water/splash area and the boys put their swimsuits on and played for almost two hours while I enjoyed watching them on a bench and basked in the sun. Very nice.

Ok, well I've decided as one of my contributions I'd like to make everyone a DIS green Mickey magnet for those who would like one. PM me with your DIS name AND cabin number. If you don't know it yet, indicate that and before sailing I'll update the list. Here's what it will look like:

Happy Day!

Yes Please....I love it. Sending my PM now. Thank you so much!:flower3:

We sailed on the Pride of Aloha in October of 2004. We had read all about all the problems with service and such from the people on cruisecritic and were wary. But we had the best time. Service was great. People were friendly. It was our first trip to Hawaii and I don't regret sailing on the Pride one moment. NCL freestyle cruising is definitely different, but I thought it worked well with the Hawaii cruise.

Thanks for the info!:goodvibes

Please give her my warm wishes for a speedy recovery!

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm afraid to wait one week before sailing to book this. The control freak in me wants to get it confirmed now. There's no sure way of knowing how booked they're going to be when I travel at the end of October. Maybe I could book now and cancel the week before and rebook if they offer a discount? Not sure if this would work.

Taxis sound good and easy to do. Room charge only for food...they force you to get a room. Good idea to bring a bag of snacks. I would want to go to the room to shower and change too. What building were you in? I keep seeing the Beach Towers as the best possible price. If their rooms are not nice, maybe I'll consider an upgrade to a different building. With 7 people on a day pass, I would spend a lot more anyway. I think they have one building with all suites for approx. $550. I'm not sure if that included the additional taxes or fees. Also, I'm not sure they would accept 7 people per room, even in a suite.

I wonder if it would be possible to book one room for 4 people and then get 3 day passes? Then we could share the room for showers. Not sure if I can get away with doing this or not. I'll have to keep researching.

Thanks for your input, it definitely helped and I'm glad you had a good time and would do it again. :rolleyes1

I think since they are selling day passes now, they will have to have some kind of cash system for the food. We were in the beach towers, very nice views of the water. We actually were able to get into the rooms at 10:00 a.m.. However, I met someone else who couldnt get in until after the 4pm check in time, so you cant count on being able to use the rooms during the day. When we were looking, there were suites that accomodated 5, but I am sure they have even bigger suites available.

It was difficult for me to keep from booking rooms at a higher rate way in advance, however they have several different booking policies, and we werent offered any that had a generous cancellation policy. I am wondering if you had trip insurance would the Atlantis portion be covered if the ship was unable to dock for some reason?

They do have very nice fluffly beach towels readily available at all the pools and plenty of very nice loungers (with sunshades) by some of the pools.

I hope you figure out something that works.:goodvibes

At least I won't have to pay for Flounder's this time around!

Happy Day!
Lisa that would be fantastic!! just sent you a pm...hmm, I too feel like I needto contribute something, but I'm not at all crafty....maybe the mini navigators someone was talking about? anybody have a pic of them??

Ok, I have been playing with the idea of doing the Med repo in May because the rates are sooooo cheap, but the airfare was horrible. Well, the prices have dropped and what it comes down to, is that for $2300 including the cruise, airfare and tips my girlfriend and I could do a cat 12 on the Med repo!!! Am I crazy? I can get the vacation time and do my Alaska cruise at the end of June too. What do you think? :confused3

Laura- where did you find your airfare quote??

I really wanted to try to squeeze in that cruise too, but it was the airfare that was throwing everything off. Last time I looked, the airfare alone was running $750 per person (evne more than the cruise would run!).

My family is doing the Med July 28th. I had to buy 6 round trip tickets. You can imagine how I felt when the best I was seeing round trip was $1,200 - $1,500 from DC :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Go to Travelocity. We booked with Air Comet. They only fly out of JFK. They only fly on Mondays and Fridays. I got round trip tickets for $575.90 all taxes and everything. Let me know what you see.

I got curious and I went to Travelocity and Spain Air BCN to Madrid and then Air Comet Madrid to JFK - $266 including all taxes and fees one way.....

There are several other airlines.....Swiss International Airlines $391 .... and then Delta $1,515......
