John, I totally understand this!!! Savannah was so upset after our last trip to get hers, that whenever she is really really mad at me she says "YOU ARE JUST LIKE THE POST OFFICE!". She yelled this on a plane once and you can only imagine the looks and laughter we got.

Kim

:lmao: :rotfl2:

What an insult!

Kim - of course Sophia did not want to go to school today after three days off! Amy called me at work and told me I might have to come home to drag her out of bed and take her.

Turns out she did not want to go because it was her day for her Birthday celebration (her BD is tomorrow) and she HATES for people to make a fuss and sing to her. When her aunt took her to the Olive Garden and they did it last year, she hid under the table!

I have several Mickey watches - but keep looking for a "perfect" one. I want a traditional one with the Mickey arms that move, but not cheap. I have had trouble finding one that I really like. Most of the non-cheap ones (my everday watch is a Citizen Eco-drive) like the Citizen ones just have Mickey on them, but not the moving arms. I also want it to be fairly waterproof for swimming - as I don't like to take it off at the pool. If anyone finds one like that, let me know!

DrHug has a couple of Mickey watches too, and a DCL watch, and a Dopey watch, and a Three Stooges watch, and several Looney Tunes watches....I'm seeing a pattern here! :sad2: Oh and certainly not least a Club 33 watch!

We had one like that. Got under the table and cried every birthday for years! :sad2: Finally she convinced us to just skip the singing, just go ahead and eat cake! After she had children of her own she started letting us sing at her again because her little ones wanted to sing happy birthday to mommy. :lmao:

Yeah, I could look like one of those guys in NYC . . . "wanna buy a watch?".

I just went over to the EB thread and razzed them a bit about Captain Jack NOT getting #5000 over here!

:lmao:

I made a long trek to my mom's today to go to a Dr. appt with her. It is a 2 1/2 hr drive each way, then the doc and lunch with my sis. Long day. I did get to see my niece's baby girl. She is not quite 3 months and this is just the second time I've gotten to play with her. MMMMMM Love that baby smell. :goodvibes

:lmao: :lmao: Dennis said we are going to get in trouble again. :lmao: I told him I don't think so because all involved know it is just in good fun!;)

Had to share. DS6 went in for allergy testing today and he's allergic to just about everything on the planet. :scared1: No serious food allergies, though, so that is something to be thankful for. Those food allergies can be downright dangerous sometimes. Anyway, he's allergic to trees, grass, ragweed, other weeds, cats, dogs, and dustmites. You should have seen the poor guy this afternoon. Anybody ever had this allergy testing done? They stuck him all over his back with various allergens and then just waited for his reactions. Well, he had welts all over his back almost immediately and he kept crying about how much it itched. And of course, he wasn't allowed to even touch his back, much less scratch it. :guilty:

The big issue in our house (other than the fact that I'm slowly killing him with my lousy housekeeping) is our two pet cats. DS9 is terrified we're going to have to get rid of them. First, we're going to make some changes like keeping the cats out of their bedroom and see how it goes. Really don't want to get rid of the cats, and DS would still need daily meds for the dust mites, etc. anyway.

All of his allergies and eczema completely disappeared when we spent 10 days in the British Virgin Islands last summer. Maybe it's time to move.
Welcome to the Caribbean, love. :thumbsup2

Ooohhh, poor boy!

My best friend is allergic to cats and has one, I know she buys some kind of lotion that she puts on the cat and that makes her be less allergenic.

ok, I'm game...we haven't been to NYC yet, anyone wanna bite on that with me :confused3 I of course would bring Molly as my cover.:lmao:

I am still considering if I should visit NYC next march with my dd. Though I think last time my friend and I were a lot happier than my dd in the American Girl Café dinner, lol.

For those that don't have passports yet, this was our experience today. We have been reluctant to take Jenna out of class for any reason since we received our little nasty letter a few months ago. Today, we took of advantage of her not having school and went to get our passports. We want them for our trip to Belize and Honduras in four weeks (yes we had to pay to have them expedited).

We waited in line for 2 1/2 hours!!! Trust me, with a four and seven year old, this was painful. We had preprinted all our documents off the internet, were very organized with all other documentation we needed also. After our wait, it then took another 45 minutes in the little room! The guy that was helping us said it has been like this for months and is only getting worse. Well, at least it is done. For the four of us, with expedited service, it cost $726!!

That stinks. Sorry to hear about your experience. I took my DS today and it took 5 minutes. I guess people in South Jersey aren't going anywhere these days. We have 7 weeks until we need it so it only cost us $60 more than normal.

I didn't think about the passport thing---I think mine expires next year too (I'll have to double check that).

Ok - sister/new niece update - Sydney is doing well, but it did end up that my sister had to have a hysterectomy. I don't know if they were planning on having another child or not, and while that bothers me, I think the thing that upsets me the most is that Lisa doesn't even know what happened yet. They were finishing up the surgery when my mother called to tell me. I know that she knew it could be a possibility, but that the drs were going to do what they could to not do the hysterectomy.

Can I just say that I'm glad I have NO ice cream in the house right now?!! I'd be cleaning that up if I did.

Ok, I am back to the cousin theory. Savannah is EXACTLY the same! Don't make me stand out, don't make me different in any way! It's going to be grandparents day next week and savannah is worried grandpa won't get the bandaids off his head from surgery in time then people will stare...

:grouphug: for you and your familiy!

ok, I was just thinking that. I am sure she is totally different than those people are. Plus, she is funny!

Thank you....I am the one who reviews all the books and charges and work so that it will pass the auditors!!! Like I tell my guys, my job is not to get you fired, my job is to keep you from getting fired!!!!

Does it have Mickey on it??? I bought DH a mickey watch in Oct. at World. It has Mickey on it and it's his favorite.

What did you do in Nassua last month? I'm going on a 4 day Halloween this Oct. with the WHOLE family. Taking 3 staterooms. We want to get onto the Atlantis property and do everything they have there. I understand that you have to book a room. Did you do that?

Happy Birthday DH :wizard:

Last september we rented a room in Atlantis with a travelzoo (I think) special. It was about $ 160. They will only let you book 4 people in the room.

It is awesome, too bad ligthning began and pools were closed around 12:45, so we showered and headed back to the ship, but would do it again.

Why did it take 45 minutes once you were "in the little room"? We got ours at the Yamhill County Clerk's office, no line but this was 6 months ago. But it only took them about 5 minutes to get us on our way. We too had the forms all printed out. We just had to sign them.

He said by law, they had to spend at least twenty minutes with the applicants reviewing. The other twenty-five minutes was because he was just plain SLOW.

What???? A government worker who was slow!?!?!?!?! When did this start happening? Geez, next thing you know, going to the DMV will be a major undertaking!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao:

Wow, I have been lurking on the EB thread for about 15 minutes, and they are talking about sizes of their weapons (they're pirates, after all)pirate: and booze and whatnot. They can't shut up!:rotfl: It's great though, they did 100 posts in about 45 minutes. That's just nutty. I'm lurking, 'cause I'm going for post number 23553. We'll see if I can sneek in there.

What is so special about post 23553? I think we should try for 25000 pirate:

Ok, I have been playing with the idea of doing the Med repo in May because the rates are sooooo cheap, but the airfare was horrible. Well, the prices have dropped and what it comes down to, is that for $2300 including the cruise, airfare and tips my girlfriend and I could do a cat 12 on the Med repo!!! Am I crazy? I can get the vacation time and do my Alaska cruise at the end of June too. What do you think? :confused3

Are you really thinking about it?? DO IT!!! I wish it cost that to us, but the airfare alone would be about that for each one of us.
