Good morning!!! I miss chatting with you all as I go off to bed around 10.30 our time - only 5.30 Eastern for you!!! I'm well into the land of nod by the time you all get going. It takes ages to get through the posts, but at least no-one is adding as I read! In fact it took me almost 25 minutes to catch up! I'm sure I have something I should be doing!!!

I love the lanyards!! How cool to have names on them.

John1, your house looks lovely, particularly in the snowy setting. We seem to just get slushy dirty snow these days which soon goes.

So, for the time being our cruise is sold out. I feel so special to be onboard.:dance3: I have three other vacations booked before then, including the Nov/Dec one to Orlando, but this is the one that fills my brain!

I will say Hi and then Bye! We have no school tomorrow so I decided to stay up late. I have posted on the other threads also please feel free to support me.:rotfl:

Good morning Marilyn and good night! Have a very pleasant day!

y'all are talking way too much....for those of us that have to work so hard to pay for this cruise...your're killing us!!!! :goodvibes

I have a question for Castaway club members?

My mom also was on our last cruise but never got a card for being a member is it because we share the same address?

Everyone, even the kids get their own#.Call DCL and they can give it to you....well maybe if the request doesn't end up in a shoebox:lmao: :lmao:

Oh my! I want one sooo bad!!!!! Please Please let me call her!!!! Send her email, anything!!!!!

Kim

I sent you a PM. I am sure the one she offered me is gone, but maybe another one will come up.

I can talk about this all day. I was about 5 when I started allergy shots. I was allergic to everything just like your DS. I had the grid testing on my back MANY times--lots of fun. :sad2: At the time we lived in NY and eventually moved to TX and then CA. Getting out of the NY weather made a huge difference and I did the best in CA. Getting rid of our cat and dog made a huge difference. It was really tough on me, but I was a different person once they were out of the house. My mom tried keeping them in the basement...didn't make much of a difference. Then she got rid of the dog, didn't help...I hate to say this but once the cat was gone I was MUCH better and the doctor said it probably saved me from getting asthma. She had someone come in and clean weekly, in addition to her cleaning. For the dustmites, my pillowcases and mattresses (box and upper) were encased in a special allergy cover. She washed my bedding weekly in HOT water, took the carpet out of my room (the floors were wood under) and just kept my room the cleanest. She took the curtains out of my room, wallpaper too. It all helped. She gave me my allergy shots weekly (yes, she did it herself). I took shots for 7 years (until I was 12) and I'm happy to report at 41 I'm still allergy free. No asthma or eczema...but I do get sneezy, tight throat, itchy eyes, etc. around cats. Can't touch them. The doctor said their dander is what gets to me, it's very fine. It's a long tough process but I commend my mom for sticking (no pun intended) it through because I'm a very healthy woman today. Good luck, I know how hard it is!!!

I had just about this same story. I took shots from the time I was 7 till I was 18. My doctor lived 2 doors up from us and I would babysit his 7 kids (from the time I was 11) mostly with the mom there and he would give me the shots for free. They really worked and as I sit here today, I am allergy free. We have 3 cats and a dog.

Good Morning everyone!

Just a moment to say that the Lanyards are amazing!! Sign me up!!

Getting the cold weather clothes ready to pack (all that I have....will have to buy some sweatshirts)....waiting for the call from my sister to let me know my niece was born (they were starting to induce her at 730a this morning).

Work has been super busy so haven't had much time to read during the day. Hopefully today will be better - have to have my DIS fix!

Have a great day!

So now I am using my fall back excuse....menopause.

Also my favorite excuse. I keep asking 'when will I get my brain back?" I think that doesn't happen till about 60, so I've got a couple more years to go.

See I have come to the conclusion that there are people who are kids at heart and will stay young forever and there are those who are not. I am not even saying that it has to be Disney all the time either. We are going to Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure before this cruise because we haven't been there is so long. But the ability to just go out and have fun and interact with other people (even if it is just while you are in line) seperates us from the rest of the pack. We are the ones who keep the spark of wonder going. We can enjoy something again and again, or maybe even more when we see it through the eyes of someone who hasn't been there before. I think if you lose your ability to keep that kid at heart alive, that is when you get old. YMMV

::yes:: I've been struggling with big sister about our vacation this year (MIGHT be Breckenridge this summer). Life would be soooooo much easier if she just 'got' Disney! Thank goodness little sister (TIGGERSPAL!) enjoys visiting DLR with me AND she's now in love with DCL. Thank goodness for my dear brother-in-law who lets her $pend vacation time and money with me too! I'm so happy she got him to come on this 15 day cruise (I was really surprised!!!).

....off to hit the shower...have a good day everyone, I'll be checking in at lunch time.....

Good Morning everyone....sitting here with coffee overlooking the ocean at Virginia Beach...

I'm wondering how I can get a lanyard for this trip??? Has anyone taken the responsibility of organizing this yet? I would volunteer for the job, but I don't know a thing about them or where to get started. If someone can point me in the right direction, I'll be happy to look into it and get the info posted here. I would even be willing to take orders and make sure they got shipped to each of you.

Hope you all have a great and happy Friday :hippie:

:wave2:
Just popping in to say good morning to everyone. I have a busy day at work to day. Payroll day. And with the holiday monday everyone expects to get their check today.

I love the landyards. That would be way to :cool2: Cool.

good day to all :hippie:

Another day with no school in Fairfax County VA.....that will mean a 6 day weekend. The kids are supposed to be off Monday and we were all thinking they would send the kids to school Monday, but they have already announced that it will NOT be a School Day.

More snow for Saturday and then again on Tuesday.....It is just too cold here.

For all you guys who clicked the www.bethanycam.com link during the noreaster....look today. Looks like you could take your beach chair out and get a suntan. Besides the fact that it is 17 degrees!!

Another thought. Today is my DH's birthday. While on my quick 3 day cruise last month, I bought him a TAG watch in Nassua. I can't believe I could wait till today to give it to him, but I did!! He loved it!!

Hi all, Busy at work today and haven't read everything from yesterday or earlier today.

Update about the lanyards - If you want a lanyard please post on the thread at www.shipofthieves.com I will be unable over the next 15 months to keep up and read each and every post on this thread and I wouldn't want to miss anyone's request for a lanyard. Since it will be on one thread at www.shipofthieves.com it will be easy to track -- also important since the actually ordering will not be for a year or more.

If someone else wants to organize the lanyards that's fine too.

Fiona

That must have killed you! :rotfl: Oh and tell him Happy Birthday!!

Another thing,

I thought Disney was working on the whole thing but I guess it really is sold out!:confused3

Do we have an official count of how may are on this thread? I would go and count but I don't know if I am that bored yet. Just curious if anyone else was?

I am so thrilled to be on this cruise - I can't tell you how much! Well, you are probably all thinking the same really!:rotfl: We weren't even thinking of a cruise before I saw the announcement of the Repositioning cruises. If I hadn't found this thread and learned all about booking on that first day I would have waited and waited and lost!

I am sure there will be some free cabins later, particularly when it comes to paying off the balance.

It is also great to have found this group - it has made everything even more exciting.

I added my lanyard rqst to the other website - Thanks Fiona!
