I love the bethanycam.... look at it in a few days and you will see the beautiful sunny beach!!

....Bethany Beach is the closest beach to our property, down the road 15 minutes. i've stood at the spot where the cam is located. only thing i'm sad about is WHERE did all the sand go???? I spend summer days at Cape Henlopen in Lewes from PA and that sand is gone too. It's so sad. :sad1

We traveled on the Bay Bridge and Tunnel. I love it being on the water.

My DH is retiring in 5 years and we'll start building in Laurel in 4. already have the house plans and the contractor. just waiting for the date to begin.

With your brother being the Mayor of the area, it sounds like you have spent a lot of time there.

Slower, Lower, Delaware ... I love it! That's why we're retiring there.

Both DH and I were born and raised on Long Island in NY. We grew up on the ocean. we have salt water in our veins. Now we live in the Pocono Mnts. and it's a wonderful lifestyle but we miss the ocean. That's why we're in Virginia Beach a lot, as we are today.

That's why we LOVE discruising....it doesn't get any better than that.

Well here's a couple of samples for you of our house and our street . . .

John-looks like a postcard! Beautiful house too, by the way. I'll have to post a picture of our house....since we're not used to getting "cold" weather here most of our lawns are dying. A few weeks ago we had 20 degree morning temps, which is VERY usual for our area. Many people still had their sprinklers on (which run usually in the morning), so with the freezing temps and the sprinkler water, plants, grass, etc. all frooze and are either dead or dying. Looks very unattractive!

What a beautiful setting. See if I took a picture of my house you could see the next one also. We can't pee without our neighbors hearing it. Although our house is older so we are not as close a some. You may have the snow but that looks a little inviting.

Ain't that the truth Lori. I think that's what I miss most about the east coast (I was born in NY and my family is still there). Our house is only 6 years old but we do have some space between us and the neighbors, but not much, that's for sure!

Those house photos are gorgeous! Our house is right on top of our neighbors and on a busy road so our yard is full of snow plow yuck piles!

And can someone tell me why oh why DCL will not tell me how far down I am on the waitlist? How come no one has cancelled thier cat 3 yet and how come I am still waiting?

I will gladly cancel my cat. 3 if a cat. 1 or 2 comes through!!

I have been on 2 cruises and have yet to get my CC card. In fact I called last Monday and they were to send me one right then and I would have it by Tuesday of this week...and guess what I still haven't gotten??? Of course I have his name and will be calling him tomorrow to share the lack of love I am feeling. Oh and did I mention that after I called my CC # no longer works on the website???

OMG - DCL really does operate with shoe boxes!!! I just called the CC dept and talked to the same guy that I spoke with last week. And yes, he did remember my request and looked it all up and saw that it had been 'processed'...what does that really mean in DCL speak?

That someone has printed out the list and now has to enter the information into another system to print out mailing labels to go with everything. Oh and they are redoing the whole CC system and come April/May of this year, everyone will be getting a new package with new cards and probably new numbers. But don't worry because it is all noted internally and should not affect your ability to do your reservations online at 90 days out.


Yeah, sure right, uh huh... to be continued...

Can you say thank goodness we are not sailing for another year so we have time to get this mess straightened out before hand? Maybe what we really need to do is take up a collection and upgrade DCL from shoe boxes to rubbermaid containers and get one of our techie friends to create a mail merge program for them? Watcha think????

The dolls are expensive toys that your lovely daughters will want multiples of, including enough clothes to require the dolls having their own armoire, and eventually, their own bedroom. After said girls out grow the expensive dolls, they move onto the Hollister stores and into expensive clothing. This also includes Roxy, A&F, Volcum, American Eagle, etc...(my child is rattling them off to me as I am typing this) every one sing along now in your best Maurice Chevalier accent...Thank heaven, for little girls. For little girls get bigger all the time...

What is bunko/bunco and how does it work? Try www.buncorules.com pretty good site and I found that I thought I could still play this game after have a couple DOD.

Does DCL supply the shoe boxes to store reservations and other imporatant information in, or do the employees need to bring their own?
