I think I missed some things - how do you know when the wine tasting is? I love doing that.

They had GREAT wine tasting events almost every other day on the EB repo in 2005. I am ASSuming that they will do the same for the WB repo. Hoping, wishing...

Lanyards - most of the places require an order of at least 100 and since we aren't going for a while (darn) I'll wait to see how many we need because the price does go down a fair bit the more you order.

Thanks - I don't want to miss anyone and it will be easier for me to look there than to scan this thread. Thanks.

For the last 3 DCL cruises, our good friend, Ken has purchased the lanyards and tag holders and made the inserts with our theme for that particular cruise. He actually coordinates the whole thing and then get "volunteers" from the thread and we all split the cost of the lanyards as our sailaway gift to everyone in the group. For the eb med cruise I put in $35.00. Ken pulls everyones disname and name off the master roster list on the thread. If you are on the roster list, you get a lanyard and name tag. If not on the list, then you don't get one. He also makes up blank ones and gives them to a couple of the CM's on board and the captain and we make them "honorary disboard members". It has been very successful. If you want, I can provide you with Ken's info so you could PM him. I am sure he would be happy to give you the information he has as he spent numerous hours (starting with the PC cruise) in finding the best deal and all that stuff.

I'll see if I can get pictures of the last couple of lanyards and post them here so you can see.

how do you get a vacation ticker onto your signature line?

what is GTY? We already have our cabin assigned, I think, is that unusual?

And, as for American Girl Dolls.....My dd's are quite obsessed. At this point they each have way too much stuff! All they really want though is to go to the store. I went last summer in NYC and tooks pictures and now they think they would rather go there than WDW...silly kids!

We are survivor fans here, however I really didnt like the premiere last week and dont think I will like this season very much.

I was disappointed with the Survivor premier too. But the first night is always boring to me because nothing really great happens yet and it's too hard trying to learn so many names. I really don't get excited about it until about the 4th or 5th week.

Regarding Disney Scene It...

We have it also! I love it! But I stink at it! Can we get them to put it up on the Dumbotron ( I know) for us so we can play.

That would be a HOOT! Could you imagine playing Disney Scene It off the Dumbotron? Whoo Hoo! That would be a lot of fun! Let's highjack the Cruise Director when we get onboard and pull some strings! LOL

What about Dirty Jobs? DD love that one too... What is it with these girls and thier dads? (DH loves mythbusters and Dirty Jobs)

We LOVE Dirty Jobs! That's a tv show we just love to watch! Also like mythbusters, but Mike (that's his name, right?) on Dirty Jobs is FUNNY!

Go to www.tickerfactory.com to make a IMG file...I haven't done it for a while, but I remember it being easy.

If you have a Stateroom # then you are good to go. We have a stateroom #. My guess is about half of the ship is on GTY....till they sort out all they have sold

When I called to ask to place my room request in I was told not gonna happen, and that they can assign rooms up to the week prior to the cruise.
Oh me oh my, how will I create my doorsigns if I want to use the room number?
Anyone have a lucky way to get your room moved from GTY to #?

Nope, but on all our previous cruises we just put our DIS Names on the door signs and a little lime green mickey icon in the corner. Sucks now that you have to put your cabin # or name on your sign, but you really should. Your cabin can be reassigned (it's even been done to those with reserved cabins) up until sail date - not very likely if you have a room assigned to you but it has happened - so the best way (I think) to personalize your door sign {and make sure no one takes it} is to put your name on it.

And an aside - you really don't want to push DCL for a cabin confirmation yet if you booked a GTY...not that you'd get one, but the beauty of a GTY is the possibility of a last minute upgrade! It's happend to us.

I'm not sure how to add the location, but I can help with the picture! just right click on someones pic (I believe jhalkias said we could use his.) and copy the image address. then go into edit signature in the user cp. and type in [ img](without the space between the first bracket and the i)and paste the url of the pic, then type [/img] and save. should have a pic!

OK, what am I doing wrong? When I click on the picture I can only save it but it won't copy? How do I copy the url?

RE: Door signs....if you put your DISboards name on it, it should be ok. I don't want to put a room nbr on mine, that way I can use it over and over (and hopefully over and over ) again.

I love the Disney Sceneit - got it for Christmas.

Can't wait for Sunday night ---- The Amazing Race starts!! (I don't watch Survivor or AI, but I LOVE The Amazing Race).

I'm off to MD this Sunday---for the next week. Meeting my new niece for the 1st time (she's due to arrive tomorrow morning) Can't wait!

I think it was so disappointing to me because they started off with a sofa and china... what kind of survivor is that? I am waiting to see what happens tonight though. Still my favorite was the original season.

My poor dd Holly had a tonsillectomy this a.m. and for a 17 year old is doing great, however it has been rough and we are just home and going to spend the next few days babying her.

Ouch, Ouch, Ouch. Hope she's feeling better soon.

We have no idea when certain activities are going to be. It is just an educated/uneducated guess by us.
