Kim i love shopping at the outlets in Orlando if you ever need a partner let me know!
We are cruising with our kiddos..Matthew 11 and Abbey 4. We have been on several and cannot wait for a 2 weeks on the magic. I am hoping we can hope on a cruise in the next couple of months also...maybe a 4 day...

This is a really big group of people. Maybe rather than going into the fish extender business, they would be willing to post some instructions or patterns so folks could make their own. That might be something to post on the website, so it's easy to locate. Some of the craftier types (that would not be me) might be willing to make some for others. I can't imagine trying to make fish extenders for this whole crew, though. Whew!

I'm not a crafty person either but I like the idea of spreading the work if other's are willing and able. I'm willing to provide materials, etc. I'm just not good (let's be real, I suck) at a sewing machine.....

REEAAALLY, well that's very encouraging! Ummmm, I'm ready to place my order, PLEASE!!! They were the best! :thumbsup2

Yes, we are on board. Thank you to those of you who knew and kept it quiet, letting us make the decision as to whether we want to take this up again.

My DH and I have been reading the posts about the Fish Extenders and debating on whether we want to take up this project again or not. It all started when I found the Disboards for the first time and the thread for the 11night SC. They were busy talking about Fish Extenders and I wanted one. After looking and not finding one I decided to try and make one. One of the girls on the cruise was nice enough to send me pictures of hers and I figured out how to do it. At that point there weren’t many people on the thread so I offered to do them as a gift. Well, as we all know can happen, the thread grew by leaps and bounds and the project became bigger and more expensive than we anticipated (not that we weren’t happy to do it). Anyway, we have been hesitant because we really cannot afford that expense again. Luckily I am retired so the sewing isn’t really an issue. My DH and I would be willing to do this again but only if we charge. We can do them for $20 plus $5 shipping in the US. Outside of the US we would have to check on what shipping would be. That will just about cover the cost. The extenders will be a little different this time since it is a different cruise but the overall style will be the same and it will still be in Mickey colors. We have been looking at material and as soon as we make up our minds we will let you know what the colors and materials will be.

There, now the cat is out of the bag. Amesmom was the only one who figured out who I was. I am really surprised that since our Dis name has been brought up a couple of times in regards to this no one else had put two and two together. Anyway, feel free to PM if you have any questions.

Don't know if this is good news or not, but here's your answer....

Any rotation will work.

We have 15 nights on board. Since there are three restaurants in the rotation, you will be in each 5 times.

That was so obvious that I can't believe I didn't figure it out...thank goodness someone is thinking!

Do you know about right clicking on the "quote", then opening in new window so that you don't lose your place when catching up?

OH MY GOSH!!! This is going to save me so much time....thank you

My wife and I are so excited about sailing on this cruise. This cruise has a lot of firsts for us - our first Disney cruise, our first two-week cruise, our first through the Panama Canal, our first cruise longer than a week and the bigeee (drum roll, please) - our first without our children (one is in college; one just got married and is in the Navy). We are a bit concerned about cruising alone and hope to meet up with other couples. We just discovered this board, which has lots of great information and lots of enthusiastic folks!

DISer lwilliam is on this cruise and they're coming solo without their kids also!

Welcome, this is our third Disney cruise without kids. We found the Dis boards before our last cruise. Believe me, now that you have found them, you will not be cruising alone.

See that shows you how clueless I am. Let us know what you decide to do. You are the best. You should set up a little e-bay business. Cruise money? Just charge more so you make a profit.

Sounds good and I'll PM you!!!

Welcome! There are lots of other couples cruising without their children, so you will be fine.

WOOHOO! I hope they do that again! Sounds like the Quiet Cove pool wasn't very quiet that day! :rotfl: I never even knew they did that because I couldn't keep Tyler in the club long enough to see what the adult activities are like. If they have something like that on this cruise, I'll be there!

I remember the contest well...sitting with my feet in the pool, enjoying a Mimosa, laughing and then....."beep - beep - beep" :furious: too bad the beeper didn't fall into the water!!

or darn it, I forgot to right click!

we're the couple coming without kids too, our first trip solo, and we will have a 16 yr. old at the time, and a 21 yr. old, i'm working on getting someone to live at the house (a sort of relative) during those two weeks, so i don't need to worry the entire 15 days.....I MUST meet up with DISers - I LOVE DISers, I LOVE these boards, met so many wonderful people on this board.

Seems alot of people know each other on this board already, I feel like a newbie...only person I know is LiserAnn - who I adored the first time i met her on these boards....and loved spending time with her on the ship....
even though we didn't get to spend alot of time together, I hope we will this time......

I am SO up for meeting couples, I don't know what it is like travelling without kids. Before I was married, I took so many cruises, then got married and still took cruises (thank goodness I married someone who loves cruising and DISNEY), then the cruises started slowing down, when you need to pay for four, but, UNFORTUNATELY, we started Disney cruising and can't stop the habit.:boat:

Ooh, ooh! Do I win a prize? With all the talk of fish extenders around here, I was wondering if you were starting to sweat bullets. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

You have mail!

We will be flying out sometime on Friday. I would be a nervous wreck if we waited until the evening and took a red eye.

Reminds me of our honeymoon :bride: . My husband and I could only take a week off, but I was determined to take a 7-night cruise. Saturday, Jan. 9, 1993: wedding in Walnut Creek, CA. Reception over at 7:30pm (noon wedding). Took limo to the airport for 10pm flight that was delayed 1 hour. Started the flight to Dallas sitting next to a guy doing a cross word puzzle the whole time (light on, flipping the pages to check his answers). Switch planes in Dallas, new plane has some sort of engine problems, delayed another hour. Arrive in Fort Lauderdale, took the RCCL bus to the port - but the driver must have been told to take his time as we took a tour of all the damaged areas from the hurricane. Ended up at the port at 1pm. I should post the boarding photo: My white going away dress all winkled, we looked like we were going to drop! Completely slept through the lifeboat thing - no one could wake us!

No more red-eyes before cruises for us.

Carol & Doug,
This is so nice of you. But I think you need to charge more so there is not question that your costs are covered. Not sure how everyone else feels, but I think you should have it be $25 plus $5 shipping U.S. and you will let us know if it ends up being more? I'll PM you. Thanks so much! I just got finished telling my husband about "fish" mail and then read your post! Sounds like so much fun.

I would agree with Lisa....$25 + $5 seems more like it would cover the costs AND the quality looked beautiful from the picture!
