Now, my husband always thinks I'm nuts, but can I tell you how much fun I am having painting my craft room?

First, went to the mother ship and I just HAD TO HAVE the Disney Color on my walls. So I picked Disney's One Enchanted Evening (purple) and I came home and started painting away til we had to go to my daughter's dance thing at 4 p.m. Got half the room painted.

Then, this morning, got up and got the rest of the stuff organized into my new cabinets and now I can paint the other half of the room. Since it is almost noon, figured I better eat something.

I decided this morning that I am going to go back and buy Disney's Tinkerbell (green) and paint my baseboards and door trims. Then, the brochure has such a cute stencil called Disney Pixie Dust Stencil. So I am going to stencil in pixie dust with the color Disney Once Upon a Time.

My husband liked the color Tink Pink, so I might do something with that. But I am happy to say that I should have this little project done in the next couple of days and then I can have my craft room up and going! (If only work didn't come in the way I could have it done sooner.) Trying to decide if I still want to paint the ceiling.

So, now I have to stop because my dog thinks it is important for him to eat, so now I am headed to the $100 store (Costco) so he doesn't starve to death!

Fond of Disney are you Linda?:rotfl:

Actually I didn't know you could get Disney paint colours. You will be so Disney inspired in there.

just every 4 years for the political stuff--which has already started here. :scared1: It gets earlier every election. ....
Oh, I hear you on that! I'll be using this cruise to 'rest up' before the political advertising starts. I'll pretty much be carrying a doubled work load Aug through election day. Hmmmmm, maybe I need to schedule a cruise for post-election too...with all that overtime!

DH may select his next presidential candidate based on where said new president would be taking his or her vacations. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Let me know his choice and I'll help out....I've used worse reasons to select a candidate over my voting lifetime!

Well, I'm off to lunch then mega grocery shopping (think I'll stop at the $100 store too). Got to lay in all the supplies for Oscar veiwing tonight (must remember to peek over on NBC to catch Grease also).

So we got teams in progress! We have leaders for:
May 10 : txsleepingbeauty team leader
May 12 : Birkner team leader
May 13 : Mrs. Mork team leader "Geek team"
May 14 : Pahrumpgirl team leader
May 16 : Calmom team leader
May 19 : Sealuator team leader

A couple teams needs more team members ($$!). We will make sure these teams are complete before making any new ones. I'm sure as time goes on, all days will be taken and some days you might get mail twice!

I got Carol's fish extender today and it is a beauty! Can't wait to start decorating it - although I would need to let my sons in on the surprise and my DH won't be able to take hearing more Disney talk in the house!
Lisa

Sent you a pm, would love to be on a team :goodvibes

Feeling sad...run to Nordstroms and get a new pair of shoes. hard day at work...run to Nordstrom's and get a comfy pair of shoes. Sick...nothing cures you better than new shoes. Unfortunately, I have already passed this obsession onto both my dd's!

Isn't Nordstrom the best place find shoes!! Matter of fact, Nordstrom is just a great place to shop!:thumbsup2

Nordies is my favorite place to shop for the stuff we all need for cruisewear. My youngest DD loves Bloomies for dresses and I have to admit they do have some pretty spectacular dresses!!

:surfweb:

I remember that! We, of course, did not have one (also poorer than dirt). I remember going to a friend's house and we were all just mesmerized. It was the coolest thing ever!! :lmao: :lmao:

Remember when you had to pay for MTV?? We just had whatever channels came in on our tv, nothing extra, but I thought MTV was so COOL at my friends. We'd just sit and watch and watch and watch...

I decided this morning that I am going to go back and buy Disney's Tinkerbell (green)

DD's room was Tinkerbell green and we decided to paint the ceiling green, too. Her room was on the sunrise side of the house...beware, her room used to glow! She, of course, loved it! When we moved her into her big brother's room, she opted for pink. I will NEVER forget the glowing room, though...

Carolyn

Oh, and don't get me started on the shoes!!!!

Because of where someone works - won't mention names - I would say that between the two girls, they alone have at least 50 pairs of shoes combined!!

Sad, I know. Won't mention that "someone" usually brings outfits home two or three times a week for ALL of the girls . . . . "this just came in, it is hot right now"! The benefits of an amazing discount.

Sadder is, "someone" knows all the hottest designers and is more fashion savvy than anyone in this house.

Sorry to bring up a sad subject, but my good friend just got diagnosised with non-hodgkins lymphoma on Friday. I found out yesterday, and just got off the phone with her sister. She is undergoing some more tests today - bone marrow, scans, etc. She went to the doctor on Friday because she had some swelling in her face - she thought it was allergies. She is 37, a high school teacher, and has a 3 year old DD. I was in her wedding - I set up her and her husband. There were friends forever, but I saw this spark and became a match maker one St. Patrick evening in SF. Anyway, the doctor on Friday sent her straight to the hospital after her blood results came back. She has already had a treatment of chemo. The tumor is blocking (80%) the artery to her heart and has caused tremendous swelling. She doesn't want visitors today - asked that I come tomorrow. I imagine she is somewhat in shock - it has all happened so fast.

Agg. Life just turns sometimes. I have been saying prayers for all those that have mentioned things on the board, can't believe I'm sending the request now.
Thanks for listening.

Lisa:

If there is anything I can do, please do hesitate to let me know. My thoughts and prayers are with your friend and her family.

Warmest Regards,

Noel

Thanks. She is at Sequoia - which is great because of her cardiac issues with the artery being blocked. Appreciate the thoughts and prayers. Lisa

UK Angel: So sorry to hear of your sad day, and I also have a tear in my eye and a prayer in the sky for help and strength for all involved in Jo's loss. Her service sounded beautiful.

Lisa: Now the tears are full on. Our lives can be so short and when one close to us is stricken it just makes us question and wonder why :confused3 I hope your friend has strong belief in her recovery and that you and those around her are also strong and shielded in strength during this difficult time. Daily prayers are sent her and your way from here on out from me.

OK, it's just me again and the DIS will be going down again momentarily and I will get some other stuff done before bed.

My DD and I went to see "Legally Blonde" in SF today!! It was AWESOME!! It is the premiere of the play and it will be leaving today, Sunday. My guess is that it will have a long run on Broadway and if anyone gets the chance to see it they should. Really well written and staged. Great music and choreography. Wish we had gotten tickets earlier in the run and then gone to see it again, 'cause we would have!!

We saw the premiere of Wicked as well and the lead actress of Legally Blonde is the actress that replaced Kristin Chenoweth in the NY Broadway play.

We did some shopping at the SF Centre as well. Very fun Girl day!!

Morning to the UK'ers when they come on board in about a half hour!!
