For Pirate night I ordered the personalized polo on the Disney Shopping site.
It is black with the Pirate skull logo.

We plan on shopping in Acapulco for Mexican Night.

not sure if I mentioned it, but I got Paul a pirate polo from Old Navy, a week or so ago. I bet they still have them, look online???

Oh, I am so sorry....what a terrible thing to happen....ours was the same time of year too...

Yes, I read yours and thought "Oh how awful" - I'm far enough away from it now that I feel for other people when I see the wild fires on TV. We had a bad run of them here this fall. I came very close to having a house full of displaced Dis families staying with me. With your style of fire, often you are waiting for the news, with mine it just happened in 30 seconds flat. I don't know which is worse?

the pizza and beer in the dhouse doesn't sound half bad. At least I have something to eat which is more than I can say around our house. Also, I'm not sure which would smell worse - a d'house or a room on some stinky boat with a bunch of strangers - Also, I saw something about someone going bare foot - just stinking up the boat more.

Does anyone know if there are any companies who provide gifts at this port out here on the west coast? Any of the ports here. I have a friend who is starting a company like a personal shopper for Dis cruisers, DL & WDW vacations. Especially for first time cruisers with everything you need for the first time cruiser.

With that calc, the fatter you are the more you can eat. Does that make sense?

I person weighing 250 could lose weight on 2200 calories (quite slowly), but they would have to drop the calorie count as the weight drops. My personal feeling has been someone who's 100 lbs overweight should NOT start dieting at 1200 calories. That's why WW has the points system...your point range decreases as you reach goal.

I remember telling someone at the office that it takes A LOT OF WORK TO MAINTAIN THIS WEIGHT!

What is the bag for books? I am brining books to drop off, but thought they were to be placed in the Cove Cafe????

Folks are bringing a 'spare' book (plus their current book) to leave behind at Cove Cafe for us to share with each other. We will also have a bag of books, that will be given to the CREW when we are done (they aren't allowed to take books from Cove Cafe). In another 'senior' moment, I can't remember off hand if it's Marr or Kelly who's monitoring the bag of books.

Cars

A bit of a turn up for the books today.

When I got home last night there was a voice mail from the Smart dealer. They had an orphan available for me.

I had just been in this past Saturday and put myself on the secondary waiting list. I do have a normal reservation, but was facing a 1 year wait for a car. The dealer secondary list is for "orphans" cars ordered, but the person changes their mind.

I phoned today. They had a car come in yesterday, and the person who ordered it decided that they did not want i, they wanted a convertible instead.

Amazing thing is that it is the color I reserved and the options I reserved (not that a Smart Car has many options). It did have the upgraded sound system which I did not want and does not have the security package that I did want.

So, I pick it up my orphan this coming Saturday.

I'm feeling a bit stressed out because I was really preparing to be waiting either a few months or so for an orphan, or a year for the car I reserved.

Still not quite sure if I'm excited or in shock.

. On the way, I listened to part 1 of Oprah & E. Tolle's class on his new book. A little too much Oprah, but it was thought provoking. I didn't quite finish it, but I'll have time to hear the rest and probably the 2nd class on the way home (3 hr. drive). Have a good day, everyone!

Peg bought me a copy of "A New Earth"...haven't started it yet. (And sometimes, don't you just want to tell Oprah to 'shush'?)
