. I am back and tired
. Remember my motto "you can sleep when you're dead"? Well that day has come! Here is a little trip report. I'll probably leave out the good stuff!
Friday we went out in Huntington Beach and had fun. I told some girl that I was there on spring break from Harvard! Then she asked me for my number and I gave her my real # so she kind of figured out I was lying! I don't know why I do this but when I drink I always tell everyone my name is Cindy.
I think it started when I was younger and people would ask me my name and I would say "Gaylean" and then they'd say "what" like 50times so one day I just started telling everyone my name was Cindy. All my friends know I do this and it is a big joke. Anyway, I told her my name was Cindy and one of my friends, that I don't know that well, told her I was lying. I am glad I gave her my number because I think we will be great friends!!!!!
Saturday we started early in Newport Beach and went to our favorite restaurant and bar hopped on the beach. The day was so mellow and so relaxing. I can only imagine the ship will be the same. I did drink the best bloody mary in the entire world! The theme of the trip was old stomping ground (pre kids), old music and good drinks! Then we had a fish dinner and back to Huntington Beach for a friend's birthday party. They had a really good band so we closed the place down again. I met a new friend, Heather, I actually told her my real name but when I introduced myself to her best friend, I told her my name was Cindy. So her and I are BFFs now!
We woke up Sunday and drove to Laughlin (five hours away). I know we are crazy. I did win $200.00 only to put most of it back in. You know it's bad when they start giving you free meals!
The next day we picked up the kids from Jon's parents and went swimming with them all day. Then we drove home late last night.
Now I'm awake and trying to catch up. I want to bring up some old conversations but I wanted to check in first.
The moral of the story is that I'm a compulsive lyer when I drink and I need to work on that. But it will be interesting to meet you all so I can see what comes out of my mouth. The good part is that you all know my name so I shouldn't lie to YOU about that!
Wanna know a secret about formal night? I always just take a regular floral dress that I would normally wear to work, then wear that for semi-formal night and then the same dress for formal night but with lots of jewelry to dress it up.
