Oh I wouldn't go buy too much for that portion of the trip. The weather out here changes it's mind so often you never can tell if it is sunny or rainy! :lmao: By the end of April you should be fine....not warm weather but not cold either. Make sure to have a windbreaker/waterproof type jacket and you should be good:goodvibes

Oh, thankyou so much - thats a relief!!:thumbsup2

Vicki..it wasn't carolmb, but she was cool. Do you keep up with the other post. We still go there every once in a while to check it out.

You're right, I think it was Wonder-Caroline. They were on deck 6 near where we were. I do go back and read whenever there is a new post. Brings back memories. What a special cruise that was.:upsidedow :)
Decided to can the massage on the ship. I should have it before and save lots of $$$.

Awesome news!!! I know this will sound silly, but that makes my night!!

Frank is terrible. They say he has Failure to Thrive. He has a fever and his blood pressure is about 70/40. He is throwning up and coming out the other end as well. He has had the hiccups since Monday non-stop. They say he is becoming septic, which I am not to sure I understand. They told me the infection is racing though the blood stream. He is weak and miserable.

Sorry to be so graphic,
Lisa

My dad had sepsis as well. They say you actually get it from being in the hospital. I don't know a lot either but I know it is like a poisoning of the blood. My prayers are with you and your family.

Lisa, I am glad I could help make your night. I am so sorry to hear about all of Frank's struggles today. You and your family are in my thoughts, I hope all turns out for the best

Hello Lisa

My name is Leanne, and I have been reading your story with much sympathy.
I don't want to intrude, but I thought I would let you know what I know about 'septic'. This happened to my grandfather years ago, and septic means that the body is not coping with the infection he has, and his organs are going into sort of shock, and toxins are getting into his bloodstream. This, with other factors, can make his blood pressure go down. He is in the best place for this to be fixed up, and since he has been getting treatment for a few days now, he should be getting better soon.

Hope that things improve for you and your family.

I hope they can make him comfortable and that you might be able to get some rest! Hope you have a calm and quiet night.

Oh Lisa, you're right it doesn't sound too good for Frank right now, but anything can happen.....it might be a miracle, but a miracle could happen. You have to hope for the best and be prepared for the worst and always have faith.

Septic is when the blood is infected, he probably has a low blood count too. My mom had it many, many times over the course of four years from when she first got sick to when we lost her. She had many quarts of many blood transfusions. Hopefully they are doing that for Frank too.

Chin up and don't give up the fight.....be positive for Frank.....and remember that it's in God's hands.

I'm thinking about you every minute of the day and sending lots of hugs and love. I'll be waiting for your updates.

. . . we ordered a bottle of Veuve Cliquot Rose champagne - oh my gosh it was delicious. We are definitely going to try to find it somewhere to take on board.
Had Veuve Clicquot Champagne over the holidays. Exquisite!

I do realize for most on this list, this is nothing...but it is almost APRIL and I thought we were done with this. There are accidents galore on the roads right now and we are getting snow (you getting anything Angie?) UGH The PNW doesn't ever really get snow so why now when it is supposed to be spring?:confused3
clear058.jpg

We got some snow too today. I think most of it is gone as I don't think any stuck around. But it was snowing pretty heavily after work today.

I will be so glad to go home after work. No idea why but I just haven't been into work this week at all. Hopefully it is just this week as I do have lots to do, just no desire to do any of it, and I am really missing my bed right now ...

I know you all think I am stupid, silly, etc..

I am 33 and I will never be able to grasp weather that is not my native FL weather. I LOVE looking at the great pics of snow and what I would dream of a white xmas...

John will go where I say, and I say......ANNE of Green Gables next. She is my kindred spirit.

You should check with Karen/been2marceline. She was going on this cruise but had to cancel. She's still supplying us with the champagne for our champagne girls tasting. Here's her website: http://www.winemiles.com

If you don't see it on the site, I'm sure she has it or can get it. You should definitely give her a try. Oh, and DISers get a 10% discount.[/COLOR]

Very cool!! Thanks for the tip.
We cruised with Karen and Ted (been2marceline) in November, and they are wonderful. They'll take good care of you.

Right before my grandmother passed they had said she was just choosing not to thrive. Very hard to hear but sometimes people get so down they cannot get up again. Only time will tell honestly but I hope for your familys sake that everything works itself out. From your posts I have read Frank has had a bad time of it of late and it has taken it toll on everyone I am sure including him mentally. I have no advice but tons of hugs.

I looked to see how much it was and they don't have it. It does have a place where you can email them so they can find it.
