Ian - have you found any great low point snacks? I am sick of hearts of palm.

I think the 94% fat free microwave popcorn is a great snack.

I also like steel cut oatmeal. I make a batch and keep it in the fridge. I then measure out a serving and heat it up in the microwave with a bit of skim milk, vanilla, and Splenda. To me it has the consistency and texture of rice pudding which I love.

I also really like the WW 1 point mini-bars, especially a chocolate caramel with a good cup of coffee or the peanut butter bliss is also fantastic.

Another good snack is a light english muffin (1 point) with some light Laughing Cow cheese (1 point per wedge). I especially like the garlic.

If you are feeling hungry, have you considered switching to Core instead of Flex? I have quite a few members who are doing great on Core. One of my members is now 1 lb away from her goal weight.

. . . I want to make sure my kids have strong memories of us playing together, laughing, hugging, smiling, giggling, and the over all feeling that mom really loves them more then anything in the whole wide world. . .
Awesome!

It reminds me of a quote by Ben Stein on CNN:

"What's a good investment? Go home from work early and spend the afternoon throwing a ball around with your son."

For what it is worth - DCL is showing brunch and dinner openings in Palo

No high tea - however..

Both for 1-2 people.

I clicked on the second screen but all the times were blacked out...perhaps because I already have a reservation?????

That is sweet.....I am not pming to ask, just saying thanks in general.

I may order one or two pins, as I collect mostly Chip and Dale....I'm sure I will get some for gifts - and maybe a souvenier...

Ok, so make that more than one or two....but I am not a collector.

REally,

Mike is going to Hill AirForce Base next Monday on a job. He'd better wear his jacket!

Good morning everyone.

Thanks for letting me vent last night and for all the well wishes. Sometimes that's what it takes to be able to put your head down again and start slogging through. I made sure I went to bed at the same time as Sophia so I got a good night's rest so that I can deal with what today may bring.

Woody, I must say I enjoyed the dial-up / DSL comparison - too funny!

Did I tell you all the Indians beat the White Sox yesterday for the opener too! (Sorry Ian if you are a fan)

Have a great day everyone!

Hi John,
Keep your chin up! I said a little prayer for you and some others of our friends as I was driving today!

I love my formal dress and I am taking full opportunity to dress to the 9nns and wear it twice...Likewise I am wearing my semi formal twice - the other occasion will be Palo's.

And if there is a mess -up with suitcases, I may wear them more than that.:lmao:

I intend to be completely overdressed at all times. All I'm going to wear is formal wear.

Cars

A bit of a turn up for the books today.

When I got home last night there was a voice mail from the Smart dealer. They had an orphan available for me.

I had just been in this past Saturday and put myself on the secondary waiting list. I do have a normal reservation, but was facing a 1 year wait for a car. The dealer secondary list is for "orphans" cars ordered, but the person changes their mind.

I phoned today. They had a car come in yesterday, and the person who ordered it decided that they did not want i, they wanted a convertible instead.

Amazing thing is that it is the color I reserved and the options I reserved (not that a Smart Car has many options). It did have the upgraded sound system which I did not want and does not have the security package that I did want.

So, I pick it up my orphan this coming Saturday.

I'm feeling a bit stressed out because I was really preparing to be waiting either a few months or so for an orphan, or a year for the car I reserved.

Still not quite sure if I'm excited or in shock.

A quick hello to everyone from Lake Havasu City, AZ, home of the London Bridge! Marilyn, would you like for me to say "hello" for you?:rotfl:

I drove over here today to visit a high school friend who came down from Oregon for a winter vacation. Today is a nice day here--probably 80 degrees and mostly sunny. I'm with him at the library while he checks his email so I thought I'd try to keep up a little with the posts.

The drive over here was very nice. On the way, I listened to part 1 of Oprah & E. Tolle's class on his new book. A little too much Oprah, but it was thought provoking. I didn't quite finish it, but I'll have time to hear the rest and probably the 2nd class on the way home (3 hr. drive). Have a good day, everyone!
