Jackie offers good advice.

We once had to wait an hour at Port Canaveral to board because a Customs dog alerted to a disembarking passenger's suitcase in the luggage pickup area. Customs would not clear the ship.

DCL told us it was a bomb scare. We had to wait across the street with all of our luggage (there were no passenger drop-offs at the curb, and the porters could not accept any incoming luggage).

When the dog alerted, Customs thought it was explosives. It turned out to be food.

This also delayed all passengers getting off the ship.

Woody - was this by any chance a 3 night on the Wonder - Sept 29, 2006?? That happened to me too.....but now that I recall we didn't get on the ship until about 430p.

Just to let everyone know, I just ordered both of the wigs and the green one said it was low in stock.

OK, I'm confused. I'm on cbs.com to watch a bit of last week's Survivor, but the most recent episode on there is not the one I watched last Thursday. It seems I somehow missed an episode. Is it not coming on tonight? Did they show it early? What's up? Anybody know?

ETA: OK, thanks. Got my answer. :)

Hi Everyone,

I have been gone for a little bit. I am not even going to try and catch up. I am just saying HI! Life has been rough the last couple of months but now I am excited and back on track.:goodvibes

Hello, good to hear from you.

It remind me of 1960!!!

Just think of the things you could pack in that if you used it as a carry on!! Case of Champagne? No problem, just over behind my left ear.
:rotfl: :rotfl:

Yes she is happy about the hair cut, not sure how the drying and styling will go, she isn't one to fuss or care for her hair in the least. Hoping this cut will change that. She isn't happy about doing her homework, so tonight we are having a blow out about that. :sad2:

Not easy for homework same with my son too. Phew, now he is going to homework classes every monday so that help less argument with him!!:sad2:

Ok, here is my opinion about the juice fast.

First, it is not a diet plan. I did it for 10 days (nothing to eat, only drank fresh juice made from vegetables and fruit). Although I lost a few pounds, as Kaylee said you do gain it mostly back. Obviously, if I could have done it for longer as I had planned (I was going to do it for 28 days), I would have lost more weight and probably wouldn't have gained it all back. I forgot about an unplanned board meeting so I had to get off the fast on day 10. And this is why:

You are VERY, very tired at night. You can not think straight. I felt a bit drunk once it was 8pm. And by 9pm, I was asleep. It was hard with the 4 boys, as evening times are very busy. It took a strain on DH. I also got some severe headaches for the first few days. My board meetings are in the evening, and I couldn't chance being "drunk" so I got off it. And I was very upset about getting off it, even though I had the symptoms above.

The reason I was upset is that there was many, many pluses. I have never slept better in my life. Every night, I slept so soundly, and even if the kids got me up in the middle of the night, I was able to go right back to sleep. It was wonderful. And during the day, I was very, very alert. It was very weird. Everything seemed brighter, clearer...just vibrant. I know this might sound weird. Or maybe I was hallucinating or something. But I loved how I felt during the day. I'd get home about 6pm, and that is when the headache would come. 7-8pm drunk. 9pm passed out. Next morning, woke up feeling wonderful.

I'd like to do it again, but getting through day 1 now has been the hardest thing. I think I might try on Monday. I do think you could lose weight, but if that is the reason you during it I think you for sure should be under MD supervision. It really, REALLY, puts your system out of whack. My friend is doing a liver cleanse - he says there are tons of stones that come out we he does it. Not sure what that is all about. Kaylee??

Ok, hope that sums it up. I recommend everyone fast for a few days once in your life. Food takes on a WHOLE new meaning. I would see a small cherry tomato and it would look like heaven. And then to make it through a few days without eating anything - it gives you an awesome feeling of power and control. I loved it.

Ok, now I'm sounding a little like my whacko friend who has seemed to brainwash me!!!

Lisa

mmm, I maybe ask you stupid question? Did you get bad breath?

Yes, sound stupid question, I just wonder. As I would like to trying it but I know myself that I give up quickly.

My diet still yo yo:sad2:

Because of the NCAA tournament, they moved Survivor back a day. It was on last night.

Sorry.

Monica - no, it was on the Magic. I think it happens more often than DCL would like, but it's entirely under Custom's control for security reasons.

The lesson: Don't pack food, and stay flexible if plans change.

BUMMER! I could have watched last night. OH well.....thank goodness for being able to watch it online right this moment as we type. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the info!

Good luck with that. I had to do that the other day and I was there for an hour!

The deposit at the bank was the quick part. I spent 3 hours making the deposit (reconciling it against all we ordered and spliting it between troop and council...blah blah blah)

What a great source of free labor the GSA have in little girls hawking those cookies. Don't get me wrong I'm happy we have this organization, but seriously, those girls really bear a big burden with there fundraising efforts. Our council will enjoy ~6K from our 9 girls eforts. Not bad 'eh.

actually sting rays have made several appearances jumping onto boats the past year or so here in FL.
I was just on the DL site...looking at all the restaurants I would like to try! Guess with a day and a half, it's either eat or ride rides!

V, which are tempting you? I have to be honest that I'm very under whelmed at the food at Dland. WDW had much better options. A few places are great, but over all so-so.

Sure why not!

The Dis Chicks Wig Out

So we need to have a night that does not clash with a DCL event like no wigs on formal night!

So who will be willing to get wiggy with us?
Making_Memories aka ME!!
Nskjerven

who else can I count on to Wig out the Magic?
:dance3:

Gaylean, I feel liek this is your fault, you better be in :scared1:

Ohhh, better go look at my watched dresses huh?

Blue Bayou
Napa Rose??? I think its called
Chip and Dale bfast - and yes, I realize it's Chip and Dale not Chippendale!:rotfl:

Should we make her fish extender gift a wig??

yes, I think you and I need to be in a group and gift it to her...otherwise I doubt she'd do it. We'll she still might not do it huh? Other tablemates are you prepared for us???:rolleyes1

OMG - I am watching a documentary on horseshoe crabs.....they are bled....to do something with drugs....they are worth $1500 for the blood and can be released back when they are done. DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY HORSESHOE CRABS ARE AROUND HERE??? I could sell them and be int he Walt suite!

If we can wear any color for the wig out party I will probably just get one. I really don't want to pack both. Pink is good for champagne girls and I like the style better. What do you guys think? Green is the original joke. Oh maybe I'll wear one so I don't have to pack it!

Now that would make a statement while boarding huh!
