All my work is done, now just waiting to leave for a vendor's event at the Hockey Hall of Fame. It will be my first time there, should be interesting, the evening is all about Supplies(ink and paper), Printing and Peripherals Event.

So I get to hear Epson, Canon, Lexmark and other printer people talk for a couple of hours then they do draws for stuff.

FREE STUFF! :cheer2:

Eyebrow waxing, what about bikini waxing?

It's been a loooooong time since I've needed a bikini waxing. I currently only wear bathing suits with swim shorts over them.....no need to bikini wax.....the shorts have me covered!!!

OK PEOPLE THEY HAVE CONCEADED TO US ON THE BOXES!! The guy who runs IDS is a very nice guy and he got it sorted out for us. :cheer2: :cheer2: I just got off the phone with DCL who conferenced him in too so I know know exactly what we can and cannot do as far as shipments.

do tell what did you find out? what can we ship?

My dh is late! We are meeting dd at the club for dinner tonight. Dgs has tennis lessons on Wednesday and that's about the only way I can get dh to go eat at the club. My dd and I go for lunch, but dh thinks it is too expensive!

This is the OFFICIAL word not hearsay ar a maybe but what we are honestly ALLOWED to do.

The owner of IDS called the Coast Guard yesterday and told them about us crazy Disney people and our desires to ship boxes of fish stuff and pirate gear. :) The problem before was the screening of our stuff. The boxes had to have a way to be screened so the Coast Guard is now going to have a dog sniff our stuff that we ship. SO WE CAN SHIP BOXES!!! The owner of IDS arranged this and seems like a very nice guy.

Now the bittersweet part.
1) We are allowed one box shipped per stateroom only.

2)It must be the size of a records box and weigh no more then about 20-25 pounds he said.

3)No alcohol in boxes.

4)No food or drinks. This may cause the dogs to hit on your box and that would be a bad thing.

5)Label the box with your sailing vessel, sailing date, stateroom or ressie number and GTY status if you are unassigned yet.

6) make a packing list and put it in a sealed envelope and tape this to the box. Your list may or may not be read but it must have one. Write packing slip on the outside of the envelope.

7) If your box is hit on by the dog or choosen for addition screening they will open the list and the box and look through it. They will close it back and provided nothing bad is in it then it will be in your room as usual later after boarding.

These boxes will be coming on the ship with the crew mail amung other things so they may be in the staterooms later then they were before as they are low priority in the scheme of things for Disney.

Hey one box is better then none! :flower3:

THIS IS NOT JUST FOR OUR SAILING BUT ALL SAILINGS FROM TODAY FORWARD.

Great Job Marr. I was concerned that you may have only had a pass for our cruise and didn't want people jumping on the bandwagon and getting DCL ticked again.

No information on the EB on anything yet, waiting not so patiently

The red hightlight is what a CM offer to tell me the other day too, I didn't really ask and he just provided the info. So funny how each of us gets different treatment and info when we call, huh.

A corkscrew packed in checked luggage is a good idea.

Woody

I have a corkscrew in my makeup bag. I keep it there. I always use it whenever we're traveling so I'll just keep it there and put my makeup bag in my check in bags so I'll have it with me.

hey that just might be wonderful for Wilson , he also is a turtle boy...wonder if they have them in the store to see and touch...good find :thumbsup2

I'm headed over there tonight - will check for you and let you know.

V, I think this is what our request was put in for, more for the time then the rotation.

And what club is it that is "the club." I'm just curious. I love when someone says the club.....but I have no idea what club they're talking about. It makes me want to join one so I can say it too. Ha Ha Ha:rotfl: :rotfl:

Most of mine have skirts.

I think I'm going to get a couple of swimsuits with skirts this time. It seems they are a bit more fashionable these days and more are in the shops here. I think there are more over there than here.

Thank you for taking the time to work on this task on behalf of all of us. That was very kind of you and very persuasive :rolleyes1

When you say "records" box, is that like office records, archive box? letter accross and legal width and file folder deep? I'm too lazy to go to staples and site the actual box, can ya tell. I also have my lunch on my lap and it's hard to type like this. :rotfl:

We live in a country club community.

Yes, she is going to put enough of a variety in there to appeal to everyone's tastes.....we're still doing this, even if we can't send it in advance or check it in when we get there.

Marr, did they say anything about checking in a box of alcohol?

Oh heck I forgot to post that! :rotfl2: I said they would find me at the port with many cases of Champagne checking it in. DCL said they would be ok with it and that yes I can check it in and no I don't really have to lug it around. However DO NOT pack any in your checked luggage.

The owner of IDS said he knows the the port security took away a case of champagne from some people just a while back but not at DCL. They are cracking down on things it seems but it is the port not DCL that is the issue. I understand all these things are so we can be safer and I am all for that.

Long story short bring your booze and check it in. The "rules" are in place to be enforced on the trouble makers and if need be in other situations.

So the Champagne girls will go on and the booze can be checked how ever you will get a spiel on how if any of it breaks while checked in with them they are not liable for it I was told.

So......what's the concensus?
