How fun for the girlsJust popping in quickly....skimmed the last 20 pages or so everyone posted today....
We watched Hairspray today (finally) and that is such a good movie. I had to buy a projector for the classes I have been teaching recently, so I brought it home and hooked it up to our dvd player so we could watch movies on the "big screen" The girls loved it.
Hope everyone had a great easter!

Brooke turned 5 in August. I took her to the teacher that Ethan had in kinder and asked her if I should put her in or not. She said yes and I am happy I did it. She is getting bored already. I was just worried because Ethan's birthday is in May and he had a hard time. He does well in school now but it was a fight in kinder trying to get him to do homework. He was a little immature as well.
It was a hard choice with my DD and I still don't know if I made the right decision...she's been reading for a year and a half and she starts kinder in the fall.We just put her in the elementary preschool that is mostly just play but at least she's learning spanish(its a full immersion program) and I notice she started regressing and getting lazy so now I'm starting to have her read books to me again girls mature faster than boys and she is the youngest so use to being around an older sibling so I thought she was ready. I had her tested and she didn't pass she counted to 69 they said her math was at prek level she nailed the book they handed her to read yet they said her reading was at prek level
I found out later that teacher didn't pass anyone... the school is so overcrowded they had to add a fifth kinder teacher. My DD goes with the flow so she would have been fine in either scenerio but I don't want her to get lazy and want her to be challenged...we'll see....
Justin Timberlake......he was a cast member on the Mickey Mouse Club with Christina and Britney......dated Cameron Diaz for a long time and now is on to Jessica Biel I think.
Quick post, and then tomorrow I'll try to download the photos.
Telling the kids was just great. As we were walking up to the door (and the treasure map was taped to the door), my eldest said "this was the best Easter ever." I just smiled to myself as I knew it was going to get a LOT better!!!![]()
So they walk up to the door and examine the map, start questioning what it is. One son says "oh the Easter bunny must have left us eggs here." My eldest said "of course not - a bunny couldn't write a map like this with his big hands."![]()
So they find the treasure chest, and just love it. They thought it really was from Mickey and the Easter bunny for awhile. It was so cute. My second to youngest still believes that it is from Mickey and Captain Hook. The older two know it is from us (for the reasons I posted earlier). It was just beautiful. They are so excited. They spent a lot of times looking over all the stuff in the treasure chest. I got some photos of them all holding their passports. They are in heaven!

The problem with kindergarten for my daughter is that they do the same thing every day. Count and calender and reading and everything in the same order. I don't think she is far ahead of anyone she just doesn't like the same schedule everyday. She is reading but I think Ethan was reading better. Yet the teacher gives her better grades than she gave him because she is good in class and Ethan was a typical boy. It is a hard decision, especially now days when everyone seems to be a year older when they start.
